Western has a bizarre collection of staircases that probably have no purpose. Except to annoy the students.
I want to visit Canada at some point; it is really odd that I was living so close to Detroit for most of my life and only have been their once, when I was really young.

I got lost in the scary part of Detroit last October. That was grand fun.

TheShrike Living up north doesn't seem so bad to me. Michigan has pretty winters, compared to Kansas. That state has some character. Kansas is just... flat. Pretty... and crazy!! Honestly, I probably wouldn't want to really live in any other state in this country besides Michigan. What other state can brag that they have a song about a giant boat that sunk in its lake because of 'The gales of November come early'?

I've visited Michigan twice now, and I love it. It was really awesome driving up there during the fall-- puuuurdy trees. I need to venture further east, though... I've seen most of the midwest now, and my curiosity about "t3h world" has yet to be satiated.
The idea of getting in my car and being somewhere completely new within hours? It makes life worthwhile.

:insert major pouting action: I looked up Vivienne Westwood on ebay, and am now regretting it. I am very sad that I cannot buy her stuff. She is the only 'designer' that I actually like.
It is also kinda weird how much Vivienne Westwood appears in the series Nana. Almost everything some of the characters wear is Vivienne Westwood.

The difference in the trees between the southern part and the northern part is amazing. There was only one weekend that the trees were fully colorful up north before a snow/rain storm took most of them down... and I took pictures. The trees looked like they were on fire. whee

The trees in Kansas look like poop. 'Nuff said.
Spring's nice, though.

XD I grew up with it, so I find it so convienant... unless I don't want to travel around a whole mile to get somewhere. The concept of a 'Michigan Left' with the one way streets still annoys me. Gotta go left to go right. Bah!

The pollution around the cities make the trees look like crap here, too.

See, nobody bothered to tell me about the roads of MADNESS before I drove up there, so once I was off the highway and trying to find my hotel... I was screaming and cursing up a storm. And I ended up in a bad place. What's sad is that I called my friend-- who is a Michigan native, I might add -- for directions, and HE was the one who ended up sending me the wrong way.
It's okay, though. Next time he visits me, I'm driving him to the hood and LEAVING him there.

Unless you know a Detroit native, and/or someone who is -very- good with directions, mapquest, and a conventional map, it is pretty hard to navigate down that way. People drive like assholes down there, too. That REALLY doesn't help.

I've only driven through Michigan on the way to Toronto, and I'm sure the experience colored my perceptions very negatively. There were four traffic accidents. The trip that should've taken about 10 hours to drive wound up taking nearly 20. Horrendous.

Eh, my friend lives twenty minutes outside of Detroit. So, I can't really blame him... but I still intend to torture him. I'm a great friend!
I drove across Michigan to go to Lollapalooza. Construction.... 80% of the way.
