Jami's mouth twitched and he dodged left in a quick, elegant maneuver. He responded to her attack with a quick jab at her exposed left side. He could sense that she was having trouble predicting his movements, but he decided to let it go; one of the first lessons he had learned was to let others develop at their own pace.

Fina wasn't really so much having trouble predicting his moves as made a simple mistake. As he moved to the left, she turned to her left, spinning in place as her right saber turned counter clockwise. The saber in her right hand turned so that it came down behind her back, deflecting the saber as it would come toward her back as she turned it to him. Now coming around to face him, she brought her left saber in a horizontal slash slightly above the waist.

Jami stepped back slightly, impressed. He had perhaps misjudged her. He dropped back into the more defensive Soresu, bringing his saber down on her's vertically and thrusting it downwards while keeping an eye on her other saber in case she wanted to pull a surprise maneuver with it.

Fina's swing missed, and she felt his blade make contact afterwards. She merely let his saber push the end of hers a bit lower before holding it where it was, and then brought her right saber down, and then up toward the base of his, aiming to hit his wrist.

Jami's eyes widened and he was thrown slightly off-balance. He saw her saber swing towards him, and he jerked his hand out of the way. Her saber hit his near the hilt of his blade, but by sheer luck still hit the energy beam itself. Jami breathed a sigh of relief as he ran his saber down her's, as if racing it along a track towards her shoulder.

Fina brought her left saber back and around so that it would stop the blade from hitting her. At the same time she'd turn and move her right blade so that it formed an X beneath the blade. Immediately after doing this, she'd turn her body, bringing her left leg out to sweep low to the floor toward his legs in attempt to trip him...

Jami nodded to himself as he saw what she was trying to do. Instead, he rolled backwards and placed his foot firmly in her stomach. He then kicked off at the top of his roll, trying to send her flying.

Fina brought her sabers down, still in their X shape to aim at him, ready to scissor across whatever part of him presented itself as a target while she turned to face him again with her spin complete when she felt the foot press against her belly and then kick her back. She fell off of her feet and flew back onto the floor. She quickly started to move to get back to her feet, intent on staying ready for whatever came at her...

Jami was on his feet in a flash. He moved quickly to her position and flicked his saber to her throat. His grey eyes twinkled as he gazed down at her. "You lose."

[There's no need to change it. I take all posts as attempts instead of assuming the person meant that whatever they post automatically happens. Which is what I would expect others to think of my own posts as well. Well... except the blocking and dodging parts of the posts.]
Fina was using her right hand to push herself up, merely in the sitting up position as Jami came rushing over toward her. She brought her left saber up and merely pushed off to the side against it as it came nearer. She expected him to do something else to follow up with that attack, and was currently thinking of a way to stop and get back to her feet. She didn't know how long she could fight while her mobility was limited like this...

Jami sighed and pressed down on her saber. He rested on his knee on her free hand so that she couldn't use it against him. He continued to press down, trying to bring the sabers to her throat....

Fina merely continued to push away at the saber, turning onto her side and bringing her left foot up to kick at the underside of his arm. Whether or not the attack did anything for helping her to keep the saber from her neck, she'd keep her foot where it was and push away at him, attempting to make him fall over or atleast lose his balance a bit to get him off of her other hand...

Jami let out a soft hiss of pain and rolled off of her. He switched off his saber and stood up, nodding. "I'm impressed, Master. I didn't think that anyone could seriously be a practitioner of Jar'Kai."

Fina merely stood, smiling. Her hand kind of hurt a bit from his knee being on it, but she was tough enough to take it. After all, it wasn't like taking a training saber here and there felt pleasant. "Thank you, Jami, your swordsmanship is very impressive as well." She said. "Thanks for the spar." She said, giving him a bow before turning to leave the room...

Jami bowed as well, then leaned on a wall to catch his breath. He went over the spar in his head again and again, trying to ferret out his mistakes. He realized that he used the Force quite a bit to predict moves instead of what his father had taught him... perhaps there were ways to compensate for his handicap of near-inability to use telekenesis....
