All Ai could think of that was good about his walk was the fact he had yet to come across any other Pokemon. What he would find at the end of his journey was up in the air, but he hoped it would include a bottle of water. Squinting, he saw what looked to be a line of... green? It was still far off, but close enough that it was only a slight smudge of color. Perhaps it was just his imagination. Then again, it could always be real and the destination he was looking for.
Though the smudge of green that Ai saw would actually start to move ...and as it got closer and closer, he would realize first off ...that what he was looking at wasn't far off, and second it was a Numel hump as the pokemon charge at them with a anger glare.
Generally passive, if you fire up a Numel ...it takes a bit to get that fire to go out ...as this one snort flames from his nose as he saw that he had live targets to deal with.
Ai's bit of mirage quickly turned into a Numel who didn't seem to keen on them being there. "We're just passing through. We don't want to fight," he said aloud as he tried to slip around it. It didn't seem as relaxed as the first one they had encountered. Emolga didn't say anything, hoping they could get away before having to deal with anything harmful.
The pokemon turned on two legs as it glares daggers at them ...it's entire body was radiating heat at that moment as it charge failed. It would seem that the boy had slip to the side of him, and that pissed him off more as he let heat radiated thickly. The temperature would become hotter and hotter, and the area gain a stuffiness that border on being unbearable ....as the Numel released it's heatwave.
It had no plans of letting them escape him ...at all.
"Jeez, what's with all these insane wild Pokemon?" he said to himself as he tried to escape the horrible heat being omitted from the Numel's body. Emolga was crying out at the heat but clinging onto the back of his Trainer's shirt. Their escape was swift, thankful that the slow moving Pokemon wouldn't be able to get him without some sort of speed move.
The young man didn't stop jogging until a light layer of sweat had covered his face. Finally stopping and collapsing onto his knees, Ai wiped the sweat from his brow and closed his eyes. Emolga pet the boy's leg to comfort him and let him know he did well with his running. Although he was nowhere near as fast as the Emolga could be, he did well.
It would seem that Numel was a pokemon of choice for him as a small female would be blinking at him. She had been sleeping when they had stumble upon her as she yawns loudly and then rouse quite slowly from where she had been sleeping.
(That's a bad place to travel though ...that mountain is so rocky and cold.)
She whine openly. It would seem that to find the amber, he was going to once more have to deal with a rocky terrain. Though this one, would have sprinkles of trees upon it, unlike the desert he had just come through.
The numel would walk up to them, and sit down on her haunches.
(Are you still planning on going there?)
She didn't seem shy at all, though she did come across as drowsy as her head sway with each word as if she would collapse and fall asleep at any moment.
Fossil Mountain
Here, the past is buried and the future continues on. But deep in the heart of the mountain it is said, that nothing is every truly forgotten ....and there is rumors that the master of time lives here. Though as one makes the climb, the creatures that lives here find happiness in the coolness of the mountain and it's solid and rocky terrian. Thus, it's a mix of the two that call this place their home. Pokemon to be found here.
Ai looked up and saw the calm Numel and sighed in relief when he wasn't attacked by it. He had no more energy to run at this point. It seemed Numel kept appearing before him every step of the way. At least only one of the three he had come into contact with had decided to attack him. Emolga pet his Trainer's leg again and spoke to Numel.
"We're looking for something that's hidden where trees are. We don't have a choice but to go there," he explained to her.
(Better you than me. Good luck, and be careful not to freeze)
She would advise as she headed away from them. The desert was hot and plentiful, and cold ...was cold. She had no wish to travel anywhere near cold as she smiles to herself and just simply enjoy the heat on her body.
Emolga nodded, understanding that most of her kind preferred not to be around such cold air. Oh well. With their escape from the vast dessert, hopefully he could be of some use to his Trainer. Picking up the cue from Emolga that there would be no help from this one, he stood and gave a small bow of his head in a goodbye. She was kind enough not to attack him, so he'd be kind enough to give a proper goodbye. With his breath back, and a clench of his hands, he began to trek into the next leg of his journey across Beginner Island.
The differences in temperature would be noticeable immediately ...as the area started to cool down. The heat of desert would diminish with every step, but, it would seem that this island had two extremes sitting back to back ...as Ai would find small drifts of snow coming from the sky as he walked.
One area too hot, the other ...would soon become too cold ...as a small furry head would poke it's way out of one of the snow drifts. The little boy would only sniffle a few times as he took in a bit of the snow through his snout and would sneeze it out full strength as he giggles.
The icy shard that embedded itself only inches from Ai's head in the stony walls of the mountain would give it's position away. Though the Swinub wasn't at all concern as he turned his attention back to another snow drift as he would take a small running start and pretty much belly flop in it. Rolling around as the pokemon enjoyed the snows ...completely.
Happy he had his white jacket on to protect him against the chill, it also served another purpose. His matching white pants, pale hair and skin would more than likely be a good cover to keep him from the sights of most Pokemon save for those with good eyesight. A sound noise alerted him and he looked to the side just in time for a piece of ice to thud into the wall behind him. He turned to see a Swinub playing in the ground and moved along quickly before it noticed. Being something that can sneeze and kill you, he had no intention of meeting it.

Every step took him further into the snow as this time ...Ai would find that he wasn't the only one good at adapting to hide in this sort of area. His foot would connect soundly against the head of a pokemon that had taken a nap in the snow ....a sharp squeak of ....VANNNNNNN! Would be his only indication of what he had done ....as the pokemon would pop up from the snow in a fury.
This lil' frozen lass was piss as she glares daggers at Ai as she floated upwards. Her icy coloration and frozen food look made her look anything but dangerous, but as the snow curl around her in midair as though it didn't want to touch her ....she was radiating something different with her aura. She was more than ready for a fight ...as she glares at the boy and make it clear, he wasn't going to be escaping her quite so easily.
Barely catching his balance after tripping over something large in the snow, Ai found himself staring a Vanillite in the face. Well, kind of. A Vanillite was nearly all face if you think about it correctly. Emolga ran over the snow to stand before Ai in an action of protection. Ai gave a soft 'tch' before deciding it was about time for them to run from yet another battle. He was beginning to become tired of being attacked and running. Besides, fighting now wouldn't do him much good. He had something to fetch first. The last thing he needed was to have a uselessly worn out Pokemon when they finally found it.
"Emolga, are you ready for a bit of a run?"
He chirped a sound filled with pent up energy and the two promptly turned and ran.

(Aw .....)
Surprisingly enough, the Vanillite was safisified enough to see his enemy literally turn tail and run. She wouldn't follow afterwards as she simply struts away. A slight wave as she dances in the air.
This had gone over well for her ....very well indeed.
