J_Soondu Zelyhon A person began to approach the Dojo, coming up the path that would lead to the front door. In his hand, he held a scrap of paper with some nearly illegible writing on it. After taking another look at it, he turned his gaze up the path again. He could almost make the building out clearly now. "This had better be the place. I really need a job." he muttered to himself. The path stretched before him, neatly lined with stones. Well, may as well see what this place had for him. The figure began to walk the path again. With every step he took, a clanking sound, similar to metal hitting against other metal, could be heard. Anyone who was paying attention could thus hear him as easily as see him. When he finally reached the house, he opened the sliding door and looked around inside. ... umm, yes? Someone had just spoken to him. There were only a few people inside the building, so it only took Derek a moment to see which person it had been. Turning to face him, he said, "Hello. I was wondering if you could help me. I'm looking for some where I might be able to find lodging and employment. Is this the, um" (At this point, Derek takes another look down at the piece of paper, squints, and looks back up) "The Block Company?"

Curse that old man who'd given him this note and his sloppy handwriting. After taking a moment to tear it up, he looked back at the two figures who'd spoken to him. "So I guess my assumption that this is some sort of construction company would be wrong then too?"

Cole salutes with his spoon.
"Oh, and what is construction?"

J_Soondu uuuhh... *Nods slightly* yea sorry... But we can provide a place to sleep and plent of food to eat. Well, s**t. This wasn't a construction company. From the looks of it, it wasn't any sort of place that would employ him. He'd had such high hopes as well. Construction would have suited Derek's chosen style of magic perfectly, as he could use his magic to bind the blocks together indefinitely. But it seemed he was out of luck. The promise of food seemed good, especially since he hadn't eaten in three days (the food, coincidentally, was from the old man who'd given him directions to this Block company. That thought caused him to take back his previous curse, as the old man had given him the food for free). However, he had no money and he doubted this inn (as he now assumed it was, even if Black Company was an odd name for an inn. Probably some inn joke he wasn't understanding would take him in for free.) To those standing around, he said, "I have no money. I can't pay for any of it, but thanks for offering."

I bet they'll let you freeload. Atleast that's what I'm going to try to do until I find a job..." She smiled.

Money who said anything bout money look at me do I look like I have money? *He did, indeed look near penny-less. His coat had several stitched up parts with various shades of green, his shirt looked like it hasn't been taken off since he's gotten it, and the less said about the state of his pants the better one would think.* Don't answer that question.
