My friend was quoted by Lanzer.

Starlight Blaze
Good news gaiz, I talked to Lanzer in the Ask the Admin thread:

Lanzer
I was surprised by the announcement myself and had asked for things to be restored. In specific, the item will be restored, and the same goes towards the item itself. The original idea involved was quite different, and I certainly agree with you that we mistreated all Gaians in this case.

I'm co-ordinating with the many groups of teams that were involved to make sure that we don't make the same mistake again. I thank you and all others for sharing your concerns, and being patient with us as we correct our mistake.

Starlight Blaze
So I have a question in mind, but I don't want you to get offended by my bluntness. I'm also not talking about you specifically, but Gaia in general, so please keep that in mind for my question.

So here's what I want to ask; Why is Gaia treating it's users like idiots? Sorry, but that's the only way I could form the sentence in my head.

I mean really, doesn't make us sexy? That's the best reasoning you could give us? Ignoring the annoying double-standards you guys keep having on this site, I'm starting to to think you guys enjoy getting us all riled up. xD

And this isn't the first instance where I feel the community has felt this way. Obvious example is obvious, but the Case of Pietro for instance, I know a SIMPLE explanation as to why it was put on hold could have easily pacified the weeks serious complaining and agitation. And as a member AND customer, some clear communication would be heavily appreciated.

I guess which leads me to my next question; What do you think Gaia can do to make communication between the inner site and it's members? I'm not talking about the ATA, the artwalk or stickies placed in forums that not everyone frequents, although I find those things wonderful, I feel that Gaia needs a better way of communicating of what's actually going on Gaia. Specific EI delays, when the site is spazzing out, remember Fear_Bot? Yeah, people still think you actually got hacked, Lanzer. xD

I feel you guys need to open the lines of communications just a liiiiittle bit more. Seriously, it feels like your my annoying boyfriend who always hides things from me and forgets to tell me things all the time. I don't want to have to brake up with you over this Gaia, I think we can work it out and have something beautiful. heart

Kind of neat.

I saw that in the GCD earlier today, but I'm still a bit worried. Lanzer hasn't had nearly as much control over Gaia since Gaia went corporate. I wonder if he can actually do anything about the ban. sad

So I downloaded Tenjho Tenge the other day because that was the last anime I watched and really enjoyed. And I gotta say...it's still good. =D

I rewatched some of Haruhi. For just one season of anime it was good. Multiple it didn't go so well for me..

Wow. That is the first time I've seen Gaia do something right, and actually show it listens and cares about the users.
They've done a lot of stupid things over the years, and they've done a lot of things that have really pissed off us, the users. Not once have they ever fixed their stupid decisions properly, or apologized for what they've done to us.
Kudos to you Lanzer. I'm happy with the way he's handled this, and I'm impressed.

I'm proud of Lanzer. I didn't think that we had a change at getting the tobacco ban overturned, but I did my best to let them know that I wasn't happy! blaugh I wonder if Gaia is changing for the better. They listened to us about the tobacco, so maybe they will listen about some other things. A big topic right now is that they keep pumping out new EI's, but they forget about them and take forever to evolve them. I wonder if they will take our complaints seriously. At least, this whole thing has given me a little bit of hope.

I haven't seen that one. What's it about?
It's about a high school devoted to keeping martial arts alive.

Quote:
The plot begins with Souichiro Nagi and his friend Bob Makihara going to their first day of high school at Toudou Academy. They had intended to rule the school by beating up anybody that got in their way, as they had done at their previous schools. They soon learn that Todo is no ordinary high school with ordinary students, but is a school that was founded to teach and integrate different fighting styles. Its students are skilled in the various arts of combat with some students possessing supernatural abilities, such as pyrokinesis, precognition, and superhuman strength based on the abilities to use their "spirit" or "ki" in Japanese. After an altercation with the Executive Council, Souichiro and Bob join the only surviving club that opposes them, the Juken club. As the storyline develops, both groups find they are becoming increasingly involved in a long enduring conflict that was left unresolved from the Japanese Feudal era by some of the characters' ancestors.

Tenjho Tenge is an organizational story that uses a character-driven plot. The story uses a dramatic structure in the form of story arcs, which is common for this medium. Oh! great often employs the literary techniques of flashback and back-story for long stretches of the storyline. These techniques are used to enforce the notion of determinism, which is used throughout the story. Much of the combat used in Tenjho Tenge encompasses many philosophical and strategic concepts that is used in Japanese martial arts, such as kiai, aiki, and maai. Both the manga and the anime follow the same storyline, though there are differences. One of these differences is that both the CMX manga and the anime toned down the sexual content and profanity of the original Japanese manga. Another disparity is that the hair color of some of the characters in the anime does not match their hair color depicted on the colored covers of the manga.

--As taken from wiki.

There's a ludicrous amount of fanservice. But I don't mind. =P

So I'm eating without pain again which is good considering tomorrow is Thanksgiving. I would be quite sad if it hurt to eat on that day.
