They're torturing a Water-Type pulling a boat...specifically the boat Raven needs to get back to the Academy.
Hardly innocent.
Anyway I'm probably exagerating when I say I'll murder them...but I can promise they won't soon forget the name of Raven Illiaster Phoenix!

Grey Moonfang IV I was thinking of more of a personal touch to it. Though cutting was involved.
An entire human body in one piece doesn't burn as well as in pieces.
twisted Attaboy. Leave a chunk out for the Fossil Dragons, though. They get hungry. Edit: Random thought but I seriously can't see Ada with a big heavy sword. I feel like she'll just kinda drag it around leaving a trail behind. I can totally see her with some butterfly swords, though, that would be sweet. Maybe even a karambit, though its rather small. I dunno, food for thought.

You know, looks like a walking/magicians cane. Twist the top and pull, you've got a thin bladed sword. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJ3oaXAzDxw&feature=relmfuConveniently there was a video...

Ok, the swords look sweet. Although I have no idea what I will be doing with a Reaper's cloth. Maybe a whip?

Tsuki the Lunar Wind Ok, the swords look sweet. Although I have no idea what I will be doing with a Reaper's cloth. Maybe a whip? Nope. Think about what type of Pokemon you have Tsuki. What would YOU make the weapon for someone with that type of Pokemon?

Too much old TMNT movies sweatdrop Although I don't see how a cloth would have anything to do with that since the thing holding the sticks together would be metal links.

At first I was going to give her a spear, then I remembered the butterfly knives and how badass they were, plus the whole "two concealed as one" was a nice concept for someone who usually pulls a sleight of hand on people. Though I never thought of a cane sword, and its pretty fitting.
Decisions decisions...

Decisions decisions... Well the spear would have been blatantly impossible. Fire-Type starter is a Sword. Doesn't matter what type/style of sword, but it still has to be a sword. Anyway you've got time to decide. I actually took ages to decide on Raven's sword till I found the design I ended up choosing to use. I liked it so I went with it. And yes, a cane sword would be pretty fitting. It was the first thing that came to mind when I imagined her with a sword personally. Though obviously the decision is yours.

Warning: I'm posting my thought process. Read with caution. Guessing is useless, is one thing I learned while taking my science Mid-term. But being a person who was three belts away from black belt the weapons in my head for the fighting type are: katana, sai, staff, nunchuck, tonfa, and kama. All involving wood and metal. There's always a bow and arrow with the cloth being turned into the string but meh, too over analytical. Brass knuckles with using the cloth for the handle, but again, meh I'm looking too hard. It HAS to have metal othersise I wouldn't be going to a smith. Then wood for the handle. If its a fan I'm just going to have a derp moment.

Well you guessed right once, and wrong sooooo many other times in that post. Thus since you're getting closer, allow me to narrow it down. It does not involve wood.

Tsuki the Lunar Wind Oh, then the brass knuckles as all the others involve wood of some sort. Alright so it was a little too good of a hint. Brass Knuckles wouldn't be entirely accurate. Lets just refer to it as a "Fist Weapon". Or, if we want to use the actual name of the item....Impact Knuckle. The actual name of the sword (displayed as the trainers Held Item) is Flamberge. I'll stay tight lipped about the Dark-Type weapon till a trainer actually gets it.

So it's like a brass knuckle but it's not. Instead it's a fist weapon. That's also a sword. You know, I think you confused me more of that was even possible. And thus I went to google. It showed something like:
