I saw your thread last night. I shall return to try to get your October letter. biggrin

@Skippy - Great job on that! xd I had a similar experience. The first time I played with the wii, it was at gamestop, and I played for about 10 minutes. (Sadly, I don't have a wii.) But when I spent the night with a couple of my friends, we decided to play Mario Kart for the Wii. They had played it many times and thought themselves rather good. I ended up beating them badly every single time despite the fact that I was a complete newb to that version of the game. It made them so mad! blaugh

Three projects due next week and I haven't started on any of them. gonk

Plus I've gotta study for my midterm which is in 2 weeks.

I seriously should've worked harder last year so I would be more prepared for stuff like this. emo

I'm sorry Sarcastic. sad I'm in senior seminar right now, and I'm drowning in work constantly. I can't wait until this semester is over. Good luck with your projects!

I have a friend. He's a b*****d.
About a year ago he told me about two things: one was The Office, which I have started to watch and am thoroughly enjoying. I'm going to have to rent it from season one and catch up I think.
The second thing is a series of novels by Jim Butcher called The Dresden Files. It's about a Wizard who works freelance but from time to time is hired by the Chicago PD to help with "unusual" crimes. They are absolutely fantastic books, and I've read two in two weeks and I picked up the third today. What sucks is that I have to finish reading the owners/operator's manual for the loader I'm going to be running this winter first.

I hated school so much. Ever since kindergarten I've hated school. Which would probably explain why I dropped out of high school (I got my diploma don't worry). I dread having to go back if I want to be a carpenter or anything else in the trades.

This is getting stupid. We're going to go to the Humane Society today because my mom saw a cat there that she wants. If she gets this cat in our house we will have three dogs, two cats, a turtle, and a snake.

I love animals, but I hate cleaning up their poop. I'm not overly fond of dogs though. Ours barks and howls almost constantly, and he poops where he shouldn't, and he pees in the house. xp I love my kitty. She poops in her litter box. heart

Such amazing books. It usually takes me quite a while to go through any novel since they generally come up second to most things. But I've become a much faster reader and these books are just so captivating.

@Lil: Yeah I agree with the poop thing, but after 19 years of animals you get used to it I suppose.
Our dogs are all house trained so I don't have to worry about that. And they only bark when another dog (or sometimes just random people) walk by the house. If it were just me and my dad training these dogs they would behave perfectly. But there's other people in the house that don't train the dogs like we do or at all, and you need to be consistent otherwise they won't listen.
It's just like kids. If dad's the mean one the kids always go to mom because they know they'll get what they want.

It's the same at my house. The dog is so rotten because my grandmother and dad spoil it rotten. They feed it from the table whenever he starts barking. If he gets loud an obnoxious, they give him a treat to shut him up. So, they end up rewarding bad behavior. My brother does it also to an extent, but not as badly as my dad and grandmother. My mom and I are the only ones who try to make him mind. But of course our efforts are in vain when the others give in to his bad behavior.

Eugh, that drives me insane. I'm always lecturing my mom because of that. She doesn't do it with treats but with words though. If my dad or I scold the dog for begging or something she goes "Aww did he yell at you? It's okay." and I always say "No, it's not okay. You wouldn't do that when you were raising us, so don't do it when training the dog."
As far as I'm concerned, dogs and people are the same. If you want something from either one, you just put them in their place and they'll do it.
