I'm a senior on flute. Been playing for 6 years. Freshman in Highschool. Playing in the Sacramento Youth Symphony Sarabande Flute Ensemble.

 That rich celestial music thrilled the air, from hosts on hosts shining ones...I'm also a flutist, and I've been playing for a little over a year. But I have trouble with notes A flat (with about four ledger lines) and above. Got any tips?

I'm a flutist, been playing the past four years, but I'm not really good xd ...
Just a few weeks ago I was basically handed a piccolo. I can pick out a few things on it, but it's hard for me to keep my embrasure the same while I'm playing. crying

I'm flute and pic....ALL YEAR LONG! I play pic during marching band (after try outs of course) and for our huge piece in wind symphony this year, I play the pic...*sigh* Anyone ever attempted to get 3rd octave C on a pic?? sweatdrop ^.^
Senior in high school...been playing for 7 1/2 years...

I'm a flutist. I've been playing only for ...2 years now. My teacher says I'm ok at it but I need to practice more. But he still put me in Wind ensamble.^^

lets see....im not really a flute player im more of a flute family player.... iv been playing for oh 6 years and im pretty good if you dont give me 32nd notes at 178 bpm......
im the section leader for my schools flute section and i was pretty excited about that....i play flute for concert and marching band, piccalo for pep band, bass and alto for solo and esamble....i am in love with my bass and i wish i could play it all the time because the sound is just so beautiful it makes people just sigh...(not an exsageration)....... im 4th chair in the top band at my school and i bugg my director everyday about playing the bass since he chose every other bass instrument then mine!

We have like, 18 flutes and no piccolo. In 8th grade we had one piccolo (me and another girl in different bands), and now in high school, and no one gets to march piccolo.
I haven't the slightest clue why.

I play pic and flute! I love them both but i prefer pic as long as the part is good and makes sense in the piece we r playing.
