Rushing back to the shoreline, Sora would keep himself extra cautious as to not to get attack or ambushed by another pokemon.
The last thing that he wanted was to be in another battle. Poochyena was status inflicted, Vullaby can barely walk, and the Scraggy..Well Sora had almost beaten him to a pulp.

Theo finished tending Crocus of the recent battle wound. The potion he used was the last one from his initial kit. He didn't want to use his item so early, but he had no choice in the matter. From the battle earlier, he saw the attack the nidoran used had recoil. The durant hadn't reacted badly to his action, he was thankful for that. Although it looked upset now that the pokemon let out horrible screech that made Theo reflexively covered his ears.
Crocus gave the durant a piercing glare, clearly annoyed by the screech. Nidoran had sensitive hearing,so the sound definitely annoying and painful. He was determined to shut the pokemon up, just to make it stop. The glare said it all that it would.

The attempt to flee was the right choice. Those jaws that should have ripped into her failed short of her intended target as she felt her teeth sink into flesh, but it was the big fat area of her rear.
As she looked at her own position and felt a huge sweat drop run down her face.
It wasn't exactly the way she had plan this to go ...and somehow in her mind ...bite had been a good idea ....as she would quickly release. Landing on her back legs, her smile was gone as she would lick out her tongue and start to literally take both paws and try to wipe it clean. No, this wasn't how she imagine things at all.
Her tail would flick from side to side ...in her own feeling of disgust as she forgot about her opponent for a moment. If the Hippopotas can figure out how to attack silently ....she would be able to actually hit the Growlithe this time.
The silvery pokemon would continue under the glare as though there was nothing there. It wasn't exactly interested in looking at the foe, she simply wanted him to go away. Thus, the screech would continue onwards until she was sure that Nidoran's ears would be ringing and to her complete and utter disappointment ...he was still there.
She would take her maw and hit the sands with it ...sending up a small splash of sands.
It would seem that this battle was going to continue whether she wanted it too or not, and she wasn't happy about it at all as she prepared to take his attack head on. SHe wasn't going to run away, afterall, if she did ...her opponent would only steal her food in her absences. Thus, she stood her ground, hoping that her thick skin would be enough of a defense for her.
A long greenish tentacle would snake across the forest path ...as Sora headed back towards the shoreline. It would lay like so many other leafy and green thing that it would be impossible for one to tell it from the others, and thus, no reason for the boy to avoid them ....as they lay dangerously across his path.
That is not to say he couldn't escape it ...., but that the tangle of vines didn't exactly scream a threat.
If his aim was to avoid a fight, luck would have to be on his side for this one.
Crocus stood his ground on the sound onslaught. It did made him a little dizzy from all the noise. It was curious act as the Durant opened its maw and chomped the ground, before sending sand all over the nidoran. It would hit and making him shook his head to get the sand off. They hadn't did any real attack so far, only annoyed each other. Not even his trainer issuing any new command. What was his trainer thinking about? was he observing the enemy?
Theo still watched the durant, knowing he was in disadvantage here. Crocus's head smash won't do much damage at steel type like Durant. He had to observed further, if only he could lure the Durant away from the boat or knocking the pokemon far enough. head smash won't do much damage, but it sure capable of knocking the pokemon away.

Mina bit her lip as she saw her pokemon's rump get bitten. She sighed and knew what to do. The pokemon was dazed or appeared so and her own could get in an easy hit now if she could keep quiet. "Terra.. use tackle and be quiet" Mina whispered hoping it was quiet enough for the Growlithe not to hear.
Terra nodded and instead of her normal stomping to build up power, she just went ahead and charged towards her enemy. She needed to get in a hit else she would be in a bad bind. Her charge sounds were muffled by the sand as the hooves hit loose sand but still gained traction being she was in her natural element. She closed in on the fire type.
Strange...I don't remember these many vines when i first entered the forest..
Sora continued to head through the forest to get back to the shoreline. Disregarding the fact of the abundance of vines in the ground, he made his way through the forest being careful as to not to trip on any of the the vines.
There it is! The shoreline. And the boat is still here!! Awesome!
Sora could see the beach and the shoreline. He was nearing the entrance of the forest. So far, he was lucky enough to not encounter any wild pokemon. Hopefully, he luck would hold up just a little bit longer.
Sora finally managed to reach the sandy beach. Reached the shoreline and stopped. He bent down, hands on his knees trying to catch his breath. He had been running to avoid pokemon and to try to get here back to the beach as soon as possible.
After a few moments, he stood straight up and took one last deep breath and exhaled to calm his breath.
"Ok, let's go back and get you guys healed." he said as if his pokemon would hear him.
He boarded the same boat that he came in relieved that he had made it safe and sound. As he sat, he enjoyed the ocean breeze and the sound of waves crashing into the boat. He turned his head towards the direction the boat was taking him and saw the academy.
A twitch of her ear would stop the act as the sands would crunch underneath the weight of the big pokemon and bounding back on her hind paws she would move to avoid the attack. Her tail would flick from one side to another as she would smirk darkly at her opponent .....
"Growlithe"
(nice try)
She would declare as she would once more curl flames in her mouth as she would do a twirl on her two legs as she sent out a flame of spinning fire aimed at the pokemon's back.
This was a battle that she was completely in control of.
The ring of metal would resound around the area as bird pokemon would take to the sky at the sound of it. The Durant would hold it's ground as it's eyes would shake and wavier a bit from the hit, but it wasn't enough to cause it pain and in away it stopped the Nidoran from inflicting injury on itself as well as the pokemon's move was simply stop by the metal skin of the pokemon.
Her legs would dig into the ground before she turned her head sideways as she saw the opening and decided to take it. She would go for the pokemon's throat as she used Vice Grip and lowering her shoulders would try and grip her opponent from underneath.
No one was going to take away his food ....no one.

The durant was moving fast, but they both had waited for the pokemon to attack. "Dodge backward"the command was said as the durant's maw closed in. It would find empty air as the Nidoran jumped backward to dodge the vice grip. Even after that,Crocus would only glare at the Durant. There wasn't any notable command yet, beside dodging and leer. He had no idea what his trainer was thinking, only observing the opponent.
Theo was still waiting for opportunity to attack. He couldn't use head smash like normal attack due to the recoil damage. The best would be observe and play waiting game. The durant had begun to lose patience with them as it attacked.
Though the Durant wasn't worried about such a glance ...as her pincers snapped empty air. She would whirl around quickly to try and get back between her opponent and her source of food. There was no sense leaving an opening for the pokemon to steal it when her back was turned .....as she would bounce in front of it.
Her eyes wide as it would seem that she had completely ignored the attack ...unless their was a bit of an after effect of the leer.

Theo would watch the change as the durant still didn't forget its food yet, namely the boat. It returned back to its position just after attacking. Maybe they should be a bit more aggressive and made the pokemon prioritize attacking than guarding. It wasn't time yet though. "Crocus, bait it" Theo instructed.
The leer seemed to hit,but no showing any effect yet. It appeared that his trainer wanted to play continue this game as the next instruction was issued. bait? like making it to attack? Crocus thought as he paced in front of the durant. He would come near, then back off from the pokemon. Teasing it to come to it, but Crocus would always stay just in the fringes of durant's attack range. What he thought to be the pokemon's range.
