Uncle Kenny
I'm still here, sorry. Classes started back up and the girl I've been chasing after for I don't know how long turned me down so I've been distracted from here.

Ewww *hug* I remember you talking about her. That sucks *hug* you're aways welcome to IM me or whatever! Though I changed my aim/msn.

"just plain kage" exactly what is in quotations

Ouch~ That sounds pretty bad though Kenny. Maybe you can ask for a... something like a reprieve so you don't get sick from disabling your immune system?
PostPosted: Thu Aug 27, 2009 6:34 pm

*counterhugs* Thanks.

I dunno, I'm hoping they won't disable my immune system completely but like, just enough to stop the crohn's, but I dunno. It's not gonna be fun either way.

Hi Kage! Long time no see! biggrin

You usually have alot of free time at your job? Are you doing something computer science related? And I know it's not much, but I really hope and pray that you will get through this okay.

It's not so much that I have free time at my job but I don't work all the time so when I'm not working or in class I have time that I can mod. And thanks, I hope I will as well.

What kind of job do you have? (In case you're wondering, I used to work at a movie theater as an usher, but now I'm just doing the full-time student thing.)

I start back on Monday. I went to buy my textbooks today. I was able to get all of them but one, and that one was sold out already. I kind of expected campus to be somewhat empty, but I forgot about freshman orientation. Campus parking was worse than usual. xp

I work at Target doing pretty much everything. I can cashier, work at the food area or guest service, handle carts, manage over all the previous things, work on the floor, etc.

Yeah, I commute to campus and the parking has gotten terrible this year because so many people are using commuter lots that shouldn't be.

Target sounds like a good place to work. I have a friend who works in the kitchen at McDonalds and absolutely hates it. I actually kind of miss working at the theater. I loved being an usher because I just had to clean up and junk. I didn't have to deal with people much at all. When I was working concessions, people complained all of the time. It made me kind of sad.

We never have any problems with people parking in the right place. We have police officers that ride around campus in their golf carts giving tickets. They are almost too efficient. @_@

Yeah, it's not too bad, just the general retail work. It is better than Walmart though. And I never wanted to work in fast food, I knew I'd hate it.

Some people probably haven't even noticed they got tickets cause they live in the dorms and probably don't go out to their cars all that often. And another chunk of cars are there legitly because a staff parking lot closed and all the people from there were told to park in the commuter lot xp

I have a few friends that work for Wal-Mart. They never speak kindly of it. sweatdrop It makes me think of an episode of South Park where Wal-Mart was taking over everyone. Apparently, the heart of Wal-Mart is in the electronics section. lol I guess you are better off with Target.

I can't say that I've ever gotten a ticket. But, if I ever did get one, it would be a speeding ticket.

On another note, I just got one of my friends on Gaia. I've been showing her the ropes for about a week now. It's really cool. xd

Yeah, I've never heard anyone speak kindly of Walmart, it pretty much is the root of all evil.

Yeah, I think that'd be the same situation for me, either that or running out of time on the parking meter.

I start back tomorrow. I'm really freaked out about Senior Seminar. I have to read 14 novels for my various English classes, write my senior thesis, write dozens of random essays, and do a double dose of Spanish. @_@

So, what kinds of anime are you into? Are you watching anything new right now?
PostPosted: Sun Aug 30, 2009 7:08 pm

Ewww, that doesn't sound fun at all. I'm complaining about one class cause we have to write a "small" paper. 6 - 10 pages, which by itself isn't that bad, but it's apparently supposed to be single spaced. Wtf, who asks for single spaced papers anymore?

Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Ghost in the Shell, and other stuff like that is mainly what I like. I just got a 1TB harddrive though so I've been working on downloading all the series I like. The list is like 60+ series long and I'm only a small way through it sweatdrop

Single spaced paper? I thought that MLA required double spaced. confused What subject is this paper for?

I go through different cycles with genres. I think that my mood has something to do with it too. Since I've been sick, I've been watching alot of horror anime. confused The most recent one I watched was Petshop of Horrors. It was pretty good, but nothing amazing. I think my current favorite is Elfin Lied. I can't figure out why I like that one so much. But, I really do love just about every genre. The only ones that I am not over fond of are the ones that drag on forever with lots of senseless fighting, and never really have any plot development. I only have a 100 GB harddrive, so I have to be very selective of what I save. One of my biggest fears is getting a virus and losing all of those anime series/movies that I've downloaded. xp What I'm trying to do right now is find a full version of X to download, but you can imagine how difficult it can be to download an anime called X. lol

I haven't had to write a single spaced paper in I don't know how long. The class is called Intro to Computer Security, it's only a 200 level class so I don't know why the prof is making it so weird.

Yeah, the virus thing is something I've been watching for. I'm using my aging laptop to download all the stuff first so I can look through it and make sure it's legit before I transfer it to my 1TB external. I figure if I do get a system crashing virus it'll be on this laptop that I want to replace soon anyway so it wouldn't be the end of the world.

I guess I could understand having odd formatting in non English/Psychology/History classes. Those subjects tend to be sticklers for using MLA/APA/and turabian respectively. (I've had to use all three styles.) I can't think of any specific writing styles for computer compositions other than markup/programming languages.

I got my computer in the summer of 2004. It has a 100 GB harddrive, 512 MB of RAM, and a celeron processor. Needless to say, I'll be needing an upgrade sometime soon. I don't have the money to buy an external harddrive, so I just saved a few of my favorites to my 8GB and 4GB flash drives. It's better than nothing. sweatdrop

I started back to classes today. Just today made me realize just how busy I am going to be this semester. They just hired a new person to the English department, and I am taking her for an Old/Middle English literature course. I guess she's trying to prove sometime by having a zero tolerance policy. I feel like I am in high school in that class. xp I also had to deal with the awkwardness of not knowing my friends' schedules and not being able to find anyone to eat lunch with. I'm not sure why, but I always feel self conscious whenever I eat alone. Hopefully, this isolation won't last too long.
