Cassady ahd watched the whole thing, heard it, her frozen heart crumbling softly in her chest. She snarled the orders Luna had given her and waite until she had left with her bottle to drink herself to sleep.
Cassady slipped out of the room, following Shadow, chasing him her black hair streaming behind her, her eyes flashing violet and black. Blood speckled her beautiful cream figure, the champagne dress perfectly flaunting her body, torn in places, her bare feet making no sound as she raced along the ground. She found him hovering in the background,
"Shadow, speak with me," her voice heavy with loving distress, her pain obvious, his pain obvious, Luna's pain obvious, she could hear all there thoughts, everything they thought.
"Shadow..."
she left her plea in the air, her soft lips pursed and pressed in a sorrowful smile, trying to hide her pain, the soft grey flush in her cheeks out of pain, and embaressment.

Shadow turned and looked at Cassady, Even after such a violent conflict she still held that beauty about her. That would never fade from her or from his memory. The memories from his past with her had kept him company on many a quiet and lonely night. he had so many of those when she left him last. Even while he was in other relationships he still felt lonely, empty, dead and denied. There was always something missing from those ones that was until Luna had come along. She made him feel alive again while Cassady made him feel a great deal about a great many things. "Sorry, This was not the welcome you deserved, far from it really but welcome home Cassy. I missed you more than you can even know." Shadow said. That was all he could think abotu for that moment in time, really he should have picked up her scent sooner and gone to meet her but something got int he way of that. Could have been that situation with his son that distracted him from everything but why did Sajuuk not send word or Viir or any of the others that wandered these places or lay in waiting. Normaly they would tell him of something comming.

Shadow managed to force out a small chuckle as he slowly walked over to her, "I have always thought these things about you Cassy, I was never really that hard to read when it came to you in the first place. You know how I am when it comes to you." Shadow said, he stoped walking around half way to her and his eyes hit the ground. He did not have it in him to completly deal with the situation with Cassady, Luna and himself. What ever hapened he would lose something but in the end he would just need to quiet his mind and follow what was left of his dead heart. "Luna was as welcome as any could have been. You know, finding another woman in your husbands bed with your husband sitting there stroking her hair. I am sure you would have reacted in a similar fasion. My emotions over the entire situation with you comming back did not help anything at all either so yeh..." Shadow brought his eyes back up to lok at Cassady once again. Somewhere in the back of his mind he was sure this entire thing was a dead, especialy since she had come back when he was certain he had lost her forever. "I missed you Cassy, missed you so much." Shadow closed the final gap between them and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close to him in a tight embrace.

The feeling of Cassady's soft lips against his neck was a welcome sensation after all of this time. Just having her this close again was a very welcomed thing. She was close enough for him to take in the full scent, to feel her pressed against him and even taste her again. Shadow let out a very gentle sigh, he was loving this moment right now. "Why did you disapear? What happened? Where ahve you been for the past... I have lost track of how many years it has been now." Shadow said in a low whisper but before giving Cassady the chance to respond he done something he had been wantign to do for a very long time. He moved his head to meet hers and placed a very gentle kiss on her lips.

Shadow held the kiss for a considerable time before he broke it. he did nto want to break it but he had to sometime otherwise the two of them might have stood there for the rest of eternity. "I am so glad you have come back here." Shadow said in a near whisper. He could wait for his question to be answered if she did not want to say it right away, he was just so happy to feel her presance once more.

Shadow nodded, "Yes, I like the sound of that one very much. The answers can indeed wait. For now let us just enjoy being happy, enjoy one another company once again. You know I have not actualy been to the lake for quite sometime. I can think of no more a fitting place for the two of us right now." Shadow gave Cassady's hand a little squeeze, "Do you remember what happened out there with us?" he asked, just to see if she would remember what he was thinking of. Sure she could just read his mind and be doen with it but he figured she might try to remember that kiss in the lake that tore Felicity from his life and brought Cassady firmly into it for so long afterwards.

A smile crossed Shadow's lips, that sparkle in her eyes was back again for now. That was just one little feature he loved so much about her. It was enough to brighten his darker days and that was just one small little thing. the rest of it was a very sweet memory. "Very well then, let us walk." Shadow said as he started for the lake. He had barely left the manor over the past few days, perhaps weeks he had lost track of it all with everything he needed to get done. So much preperation with so little time to do it in. And odd mirror for his life before hand, before Cassady came returned to him the first time. Only this time he was not spenind all of hsi time in his crypt. At a generaly slow pace he lead Cassady through the forest while keeping a general eye out for anything. So many things could just pop out and try something these days.

"Your welcome hon, you're the only one who's making me keep my cooking skills up and I thank you for that" Ariana said with a smile.
