"Remember, there's a very nice lady as witness," he took a deep breath, "Well, you know I told you that the dark angel was after me...well, he sort of attacked me some days ago and well...uhm...he's spreading his darkness in me....and..." he moved up to show Kaen the black spot that cover his heart and moved u to his neck, "I sort of have been wearing turtlenecks because of ti...I remembered you asked earlier and I told you that I was cold...I'm sorry..."

SHe gasped, a hand flying to her mouth as her eyes went wide. "What?" she breathed as she lowered her hand, disbelief coming to her face. "Why...didn't you tell me sooner? Why did you hide it?" There was a faint growl in her voice as anger started to grow inside her. She turned away quickly and started towards the door, intent on tracking the dark angel down.

"AH! No! Kaen, come back!" he jumped on the counter and down and grabbed her by the tail, "Uhm...uhm...Corrine! Corrine! Knock some sense into her!" he sat down on the floor, grasping her tail tight, "Please kaen, I'll be fine...really.....uh......"

"That's horrible!" Corinne exclaimed loudly, covering her mouth and looking over to the playpen to see if she had unintentionally disturbed Acher.

SHe wheeled on him when he pulled her tail, tears streaming from her eyes. "I just wish you would have told me sooner..." she said, falling to her knees and covering her face with her hands. "I don't...want you to have to leave...again..." she sobbed, body shaking. "I want....to be able to protect you...."

Kai looked surprised, but he knew she might do something like this. He looked down, "I won't die. I won't let it. Please, Kaen, don't cry. Nothing will happen..." he knelt up and hugged her. Acher started to fuss.

She cried into his shoulder, her hand curling against his skin. Slowly, she calmed and simply held him. "All of these things....why does it always happen?" she whispered, anger draining from her. She sat up and wiped at her eyes.
"I need....to put Acher to bed...." she said and struggled to get up, but crying and anger had drained her of energy.

Corinne, kept herself quite and looked to see what Kaen and Kai were going to do, worried about making things worse if she tried to do anything.

"i'll do it! Let me!" he got up and ran towards Acgher. picking him up and dashed upstairs to their room. He had to work something out to put a smile on kaen's face.

Kaen laughed weakly as Kai rushed to run Acher upstairs. SHe looked over at COrrine. "By any chance, could you help me get up?" she asked as she managed to move her feet under her.

"O-oh of course," Corinne stammered, kneeling down next to Kaen and putting an arm around her waist to help her up.

"Thanks," she said as the two stood up together. "I was just having problems getting my legs to get me up. I should be okay now." She wiped at her eyes again as she chuckled quietly and smiled at COrrine. "Thank you again." She stepped away from the other woman and wobbled towards the stairs.

Kai was sitting on the bar again, using the fact that no one was there to do something as rude as to sit there. He was drinking his cocoa with only his pj pants on and a red robe, also very rude in a public place. His chest was geting darker every second because of the darkness he was forced to swallow. He thought quietly on how to remove it, without knowing he was being watched outside by a red haired neko known as his mother.

Kai leaned forward in pain as the darkness slowly moved inside of him. At that moment the red haired neko walked inside. Kai seeing her. adjusted his robe and jumped down. "Welcome. uhm...can I get you anything?"
"You were in pain. I have some tea that might make you feel better."
"I have no money on me, I'm sorry."
"No no!" she moved behind the bar and started to feel up the kettle with water, "It's on me. Such a handsome boy shouldn't be in pain."
"Uh...thank you." Kai looked confused at the woman.
