Hands up if you're going to lose the rest of May, all of June, and some of July to Diablo 3.

You can feel that Joss Whedon had some hand in this. I really liked the Bruce Banner they'd picked and the Hulk scenes were awesome. It made me all excited thinking about a She-Hulk getting in on the game.
Hawkeye didn't have much of a development but then again by the way the story went I can understand... (spoilers so I can't say why!) sweatdrop
It's been a while since I've been on the edge of my seat and all excited at a movie.

Whedon did a fantastic job. We always complain that having too many villians has been the downfall of many a superhero movie...this could have gone the same way with too many heroes. But Whedon mixed them together fantastically. Jen is right about Hawkeye kinda being the odd man out but it was more of a storyline thing than anything else. Whedon made it work.
On a side note....I just read they're predicting The Avengers will set a new box office weekend record by breaking the 200 million mark.

Tony didn't need much development since he's got 2 movies behind him that have made his character really fixed. The Hulk is the same with 2 movies, but I don't think his rampage style would work too well with the Avengers. So the small changes they made really work and builds his character better and it works into the way it happens in the comics in a way.
Loki was good and really quite threatening. His motives were flawed for his "take over the world" thing and I loved how the heroes tried to argue that every chance they got.
This hasn't been released in Japan yet, so I have to confess I got a pirate copy of this so I haven't got the full impact of the big screen. I will be first in the queue however as soon as it opens in August. (I swear... August... just WTF! gonk )

I want to go again. Its something that you really need the big screen for. I loved it.
Not a fan of Natasha but this mrovie made her slightly cooler imo. Loved her with Loki. She played him good. And I Barton too. They were a good pair.

*siiiiiiiiiiigh*Quote: While the Pentagon usually likes to get screen time on Hollywood blockbusters, government officials backed out of their opportunity to participate in Disney’s new film, “The Avengers.” Apparently there was some creative confusion over the military’s role in the movie, Wired reports. Apparently, the military doesn't read Marvel.
