I loveeee it except for flute drama D:
I wish I could play the piccolo but my flute teacher said that its ebil and will mess up my flute face. D:<

Omigod, I'm a flutiest. I probably spelled that wrong. I am in my 2nd year of playing a flute, and I guess I do pretty good. For the fact I'm the only flute player that is actually in tune.

I heart LOVE heart my FLUTE!!!!!!!!
I just got a new better one, and named it Chico. heart It plays so much better than my old $75 one. It was HEAVY and couldn't even play the low D good. Then it couldn't play F sharp. It was bad. This one is way more awesome, just like me, the Evil Flute Dictator-Second in Command

No, I'm not lost in the wrong sticky.
Hello everyone, they call me Matt.
I'm a flautist with 6 years of experience.
I started in 6th grade, and I'm now a junior in high school.
I can play the piccolo, but I never march it.
I play 2nd part flute normally (low d's and c's).
But I can play any range (most of my section struggles with the low notes).
Just thought I'd stop in and say hi to other flautists.
(And is it just me, or are the male flautists afraid to post on here?)

Ravynical [Shudders] I can't imagine two picc players in our band. I'm the only one for mine, and if I had to stay in tune with another player I don't think I could do it. I'm usually a bit on the flat side.=/ Anyways, yay for us flute/picc players! 8] Okay, my old band director has wisdom in this area. He once said "You know how to tune two Piccolo players? You shoot one." - Mr. Barry (god I miss him, I wish I never would've moved) mad

I play both and my face is just fine. If you want to play pic I encourage you to do so! It adds zest to the band. At Christmas it gives a bell sound.And bells are awsome then! Oh how I love to play pic at Christmas! Goodluck to you, my firend! biggrin

Hello. I am a flute player too. This is my first year. I do concert band right now. Next year when i am in 7th grade I am going to do Pep Band. My dad played drums when he was in school. I got my best friend to play the flute. She loves it. Me and her both went to Solo and Ensemble this past January. She did a Solo and she got a gold. I did an Ensemble with two Clarents(sry about my spelling). My Ensemble got gold too. We did the song "Kum Bah Yah". In my concert band, we have a Spring Concert coming up. We are playing "Ode to Joy", "Hard Rock Blues", "Castles In Spain", 'Ailantis", and "March Ahead". This all I have to say. I am glad i meet for flute players everyday.

Konnichiwa! I am a flautist my flute's name is Tohru. I've been playing since 3rd grade. However i was not able to afford a cleaning kit until now and it has spots eek sweatdrop crying redface on it. does anybody know how to get them off.

I have a few friends that play the flute as well, ut mostly theey seem a bit too snooty for me. The section leader thinks that she knows it all, just because she has the first chair. Unfortunately, she is taking one of the good kids down with her. cry
At least we are the small army of ourband. If one of us is down for the count, there are three others covering, so it is no problem! lol

I am first chair in my section of 8. Only the first 2 really count though, the others are pretty much spot holders. they make me so mad... scream
