So I'm making an actualy Senju Clan completely seperate from the Mokuton Bloodline but im using my interpretation of their cannon abilities which, in the end, boiled down to thse things;

Greater Capacity for Determination which manifests as a stronger resolve and the ability to use the Clan special 'Will of Fire' techniques.

Higher physical prowess and unusually large amounts of stamina which result in large pools of chakra once the Senju is subjected to their rigorous regime of spiritual/mental training. Their taijutsu is often tough to match thanks to the innately high physical prowess, naturaly physciological adaptions, keen attention to detail, and photographic memorization of muscle movements during battle.

Their chakra seems to be infused with a very powerful positive energy that supresses and overwhelms negative forces at more advanced stages. This serves as a large boost in morale to allies and a very threatening aura against enemies. Their positively charged chakra also makes it harder for the Senju to be intimidated or depressed, reducing the effectiveness of Genjutsu (this doesnt mean Genjutsu won't effect them it just means the gruesome images aren't so mentally strenuous or damaging)


Finally the Senju's most useful trait is their heightened affinity for mastering and creating jutsu. They are able to excel in the multiple branches of shinobi arts from ninjtusu to taijutsu to genjutsu and even the lesser known arts like Fuinjutsu, Juinjutsu and...Kinjutsu. Their clan possess a Scroll of Seals dedicated to the knowledge of seals required to perform Fuinjutsu, Juinjutsu, and Kenjutsu. In most cases those are the three arts their clan jutsu compose of while they are also capable of learning multiple elements and at least learning up to B rank elemental ninjutsu.

Now for those of you still reading my only problem is coming up with a sufficient weakness. For the moment all I have down is as listed;
-Cannot have Chakra Control as a ninja type

-MUST learn jutsu at a normal rate but at Jounin rank two jutsu can be learned at reduced rate. Each rank up afterwards awards two more quickly learned jutsu. Clan head gets three more.

-Will lose body functions if Will of Fire is misused.

-Experience large amounts of pain after usage of Will of Fire

-Unable to fully and completely master Ninjutsu and Genjutsu techniques

-Must have Support as a Ninja Type

-Must list Fuinjutsu as a primary element

-ALL Senju are willing to die for a friend, this must be roleplayed properly.

-Difficult to work with a Uchiha

-Virtually impossible to work with a Konoha affiliated Mokuton ninja

-Konoha missing ninja

-Requires more time to be healed by medical shinobi

So um...what do you think? Needs to be turned down?

I chose support ninja because the type itself allows the ninja to be well-rounded so they don't suffer power drawbacks at different range.

I don't want them to master jutsu quickly so no Senju can subtract the posts required to learn a jutsu. In return they would be more proficient when using the jutsu but I may limit this aspect to a single ninja art such as Genjutsu, Ninjutsu, or mabye even Medical jutsu.
In the canon description it said that Senju have the potential to master ninjutsu, taijutsu, and genjutsu. However that is pretty overpowered so I decided that they could learn different arts but they could never master them (So B rank Genjutsu, or C rank Medical jutsu or B rank elemental ninjutsu). I also decided to have them specialize in Fuinjutsu and Juinjutsu just to make them a little more unique but I may open an option for them to become master elemental ninjutsu users instead, if they really want to.

I don't think they should have the potential to be Mokuton users because then they would have too many skills going on. I know that's what the Senju specialized in, having multiple skills that is, but Mokuton was the result of the First Hokage's specific genetic skills not because of the Senju Clan. No other Senju ever replicated the skill and Yamato only obtained it because of genetic research which led me to believe that this guilds Mokuton Senju all had a genetically modified ancestor that passed the skill onto them. So to be fair no, neither Senju (Mokuton or Normal) can have the others skills.

But that Water and Earth bonus idea sounds nice. The Second Hokage was the most powerful Suiton Master in the Naruverse so yes, I might allow an option to enhance Suiton and Doton.

Makes sense... also if they could use Mokuton then the bloodline would be almost useless. lol

But having a wide range of jutsus is what anyone can do, obviously they won't be great at everything but anyone can learn basics for most jutsus. However, I can't think of any type, clan, or bloodline that specializes in Fuinjutsu or Juinjutsu. So I partially like that idea when I think about it more.

I thought we already had some Fuuinjutsu's.... somewhere.... unless they were demolished, in which case, forget I ever said anything...
