Joe's hopes began to sink quickly. "When will this day end?" He turned and shouted to Maiyeta, "Maiyeta! I think we have a problem!" Maybe he was overreacting; maybe they had made it home. With his luck? No way.

((I was hoping for a response from Ohanzee.))
"I take it I'm not in Crossover, anymore." he said to himself. Hm... he thought, as he debated trying to return himself to the plane Joe was currently on I can't just leave these people here...

All right, now we just need to find out where on Earth we are.
He turned to the confused people and whistled loudly to get their attention, "Does anyone here have a degree or something in geography?" he asked, hopefully someone would have some sort of idea as to where they were.

Joe slumped. What could he do to help, anyways? With Jacob's obvious shifting talent, they could be nine planes away by now. And Joe wasn't all that great at shifting. He turned back to Maiyeta and shook his head. He launched into the air, catching up to her quickly. "Let's just keep going," he said, suppressing his worry.

"To be honest," Jacob began to answer, "I'm not completely sure myself. What I do know, however, is that we need to know where we are."

"All right," Maiyeta replied calmly, jogging calmly along faster than Joe could've sprinted.

"Why was the sky weird colors?" someone else asked.

"Global warming and the greenhouse effects, does trippy stuff to our skies." Jacob answered without skipping a beat.

Joe flew along for a while. "How far, Maiyeta?"

"Look for yourself, flying man. There is no horizon and no fog here, you can see as far out as you want."
((It's a couple BD and AWoP posts away, to be exact.))

((*headdesk*))
Joe catapulted himself up, tripling his height, and looking as far out as he could. "Doesn't look too far!" he shouted as he surrendered to free fall. When he fell to about the platform's height, he snagged himself and blasted forward again.

Two leaps and a couple of large platforms later, they were on the first platform. Two guards with swords, shields, and incredibly wicked-looking all-black plate mail stood guard.
"Maiyeta," one said with a nod. "Who's the shorty?"
"He's from the Spheres," she explained.
"Mmm. What's he doing here?" Maiyeta shrugged and turned to Joe.

Joe landed lightly, looking up at the guards with his mouth in an O. "Hi there," he said. "Name's Joe. I'm here because we came under attack by Maskers, so we had to shift planes to make it out. We did it to keep the Mundanes with us alive, and my friend managed to shift them out of here and back to our Sphere."
