Malyos' fists clenched a littlle, the Myaku equivalent of narrowing his eyes, he'd always thought. Seen someone? That just sounded fishy, in fact everything Shinku had just said sounded funny. Under different circumstances, Mal might have pressed the issue, but as a newcomer, and as a new friend, Mal dropped the peculiar statement altogether. "Well, do you want to go look for her? I've got the time, and with your cooking nearly done, I'm guessign you do too."

He felt the boy's fists clench and looked down with blurred vision to meet them before responding. "No... I don't want to get in her way... I'm ure she'll be fine... besides... i don't want to let the food get cold... or burn the sweet buns... The last thing I need is for them to arrive and everything else is destroyed..." He let a small laugh escape and he got up to check the buns while he was thinking about them before returning back to his seat in front of Mal.

Mal nodded thoughtfully, it made sense, though he still couldn't shake the feelign there was still more than meets the eye here, so to speak. There didn't seem to be much else to do besides wait, then. Might as well get to know his fellow Myaku better then. "So... when you're not waiting around for your sister, what do you do for fun Shinku?"
PostPosted: Fri Aug 15, 2008 12:26 am

Shinku was caught off guard by this question. He hadn't really thought about it in a while... which actually meant he really hand't been having much fun lately. 'Um... well... I used to just train with my sister, hang out with ehr and stuff... now I just walk around the village or stay here..." He scratched the back of his head again. He didn't realize how boring his life was until now...

Keiko wondered where Giglamesh was, but then saw movement from the shadows that came down the hallway. He wasn't coming out, he wasn't lying when he said that he was up worrying about her. She looked over to Shin with a smile, "I'll be right back. Then I'll get you settled into the house a bit more. I believe you need a few things." She made her way down to the bedroom, she poked her head in, and looked at the two. She smiled and let out a little laugh, "Shh, get some sleep you two." She closed the door and made her way back out to the kitchen, she slipped into the kitchen. "So Giglamesh has got you sleeping in..." she thought for a second, "Mai's room?"

Shin found himself nodding once, almost automatically to Keiko's words. During the interval when she was gone, Shinratsu got up from his seat on the ground. The pale-haired boy traced his lower lip thoughtfully as he graced a cursory examination on the cooking materials in sight. After a considerable moment, Shin turned his head to glance out the window, high ponytail a blur of suspended white for the briefest moment.

It was still sunny outside, perhaps just reached the afternoon...Maiyuri perhaps with her afternoon nap but Giglamesh had not gotten much sleep during the three days Keiko was absent. Not that Shin did either, with the nightmares that nipped viciously at each moment of dormancy...

Not that he felt tired. In fact, Shin felt as closely possible to energetic as he would perhaps ever be. Maiyuri's influence? Or the talk with Giglamesh and Keiko earlier? And Shin...was considering it was alright to skip training for the moment... In the past, that was something close to sacrilege in the young clan heir's mental book.

The lightest tappa tappa, like that of the morning dew's gentle embrace with the earth, alerted Shin that Keiko had returned. Shin found himself dropping automatically to a customary half-bow before realizing that once again the customs of the noble houses were drilled too deeply into his mind... Almost like a trained parakeet. Shin sniffed inwardly with light indignation. Now, if that was the only simile his mind could carve out for the moment...surely it reflected much of his character.

"Eh..." It took a moment to find his voice. "...h-hai." He nodded slightly, just once...affirmative to Keiko's inquiry.

Hitomi sat outside in a tree, looking down at the house that she was supposed to be staying in. Who cares? It's their house, not mine. Keiko and Gig have much more to worry about than me. Hitomi dropped down, quietly as not to wake Kon~kou. Although that's also the reason I have to do this. Hitomi's records were pulsing through her mind, and with each beat of her heart, the words beat against the wall she had built to keep them from eating her alive. She had memorized the charts, and it didn't make sense. She seemed to be... Inhuman... She had hollow bones, her hands and feet had thicker bones, and now that she noticed it, her nails were harder than they should have been... She bore more similarities to Kon-kou than another human, at least internally. She sighed. She'd have to put it out of her mind. She needed to train. This arm of hers was never going to be of any use to her unless she learned to deal with it.

She got down on the ground, spread her feet for balance, and put her palm in the center of her chest on the ground. OK. Here goes.

Hitomi pushed herself up, but didn't allow herself to celebrate. She had trouble with push-ups before, and now that she was missing half of her power, they weren't going to have gotten any easier. She exhaled, lowering herself back to the ground, preparing for the next try. She tensed her muscles and tried to force distance between her face and the ground. I can do this. I need to do this. I'll never be worth anything if I'm not able to fend for myself.

Hitomi watched as the grass retreated once again from her glassy-eyed stare. She was tired. She was exhausted, and she was less than twenty-four hours out of her amputation. She wasn't even really thinking as it was. Her mind just shut down as her records came blasting through their glass wall. She completely zoned out as she continued, retreating farther into her mind and closing a more solid door against her thoughts.

Hitomi subconsciously registered that she had once again, miraculously, managed to separate herself from the earth, cresting her ascent and fluidly lowering herself again. Inside her mind, she was trying to barricade the door and keep things she didn't understand away from her. She just needed time to clear her head. She didn't need all of this confusion and... Weirdness in her life at this exact moment. It was tough enough being a girl at her age, but with all of the things going on right now, she really didn't have time to be chasing mutations.

The door got broken down. All of Hitomi's thoughts came rushing back to her and she cringed. She lost her balance and hit the ground. She dusted herself off and got back up on her fingertips this time, to make up for lost time. She lowered herself back to the grass and began to fight her way up. In her mind, she was waging war on her thoughts, trying to organize them and get them somewhat manageable.

Forcing herself up, Hitomi once again immediately put her nose to the grindstone, lowering herself to the ground and tensing her muscles for the next ascent. She managed to organize some of her thoughts, filing away her thoughts on swords and kunai, as well as her graduation to genin and her anticipation of the ceremony. She almost wished she could have missed the exams, because she could have remained at the academy and honed her skills there before being sent on missions and being responsible for all of this mess there was to be cleaned up.

Henka Shizuka

Did...Harumi just try to attack Raisuke? No...that wasn't it...didn't she just say that she liked him? If to her liking was beating some one to a pulp then that's disturbing. This couldn't go down like this, seeing her sister vanish within some weird water jutsu. She would turn to Shishimaru, with a pissed off expression on her face. "Then tell her the next time she dares put a hand on any of my friends then it'll be me she'll be punching! I won't let any one do such a thing when I'm around! Back in the academy, I told them what my ninja way was and it was to protect every one of my friends and fellow villagers!" She meant it, this time it cought her off guard of what her sister attempted to do but the next time she would use the Kawarimi jutsu to replace herself with any of her friends and be the one to get punched from her sister or any other threat. Her hands went from a tight fist to a relaxed state as she turned around to look over to Raisuke. "Get off of your knees, Raisuke-kun...I'm not a princess or the such, I'm just a normal villager in the village of Iwagakure like you are..." She said with a serious face, it wasn't that she was mad at him. It hurt her to see him bowing down as if they were the daughters of the damyio of the earth country. "There's no need to be sorry..." After saying that she would walk towards the Henka district to return home...who knows where her sister was, but sticking with her it would of probably taken her years just find the damned district. Removing her new goggles from her forehead, she would use the sleeve of the kimono to wipe her eyes of tears she held back when she was talking to both Shishimaru and Raisuke.

Raisuke would not even use words in response to her words. He would simply wait until Shizuka turned to start heading home to act. As she would have went to wipe away the tears, she would feel Raisuke's left hand on her left shoulder. And his hand would go underneath hers so she would never be able to wipe the tears. Raisuke's index finger and thumb would wipe underneath her eyes, trying to dry her tears away. "Don't cry Shizuka chan.. You know you don't have to be nobility to be important to someone.." His chest would be able to be felt against her back, the warmth of his body resonating off of his gentle touch. He was careful as if he handled porcelain. "Would you like me to finish walking you home.. or should I be more cautious because of Harumi?"

Still as creepy as ever shishimaru just stood there, she apparently didnt understand why harumi had gotten so angry. "Henka Shizuka apparently you misunderstand the scenario, since she had to leave you ten years ago it has hurt her emotionally and physically. At the words of Isagawa Raisuke questioning her care for you it sent her over the edge. she may of not made the correct decision, but it was what she has had to live with for ten years with her fianly comeing back to you as Isagawa raisuke question her intentions it struck her never where as bringing up the regrets of leaving you, incease something happned to her she didnt want you to be sad or hurt." She would continue to stand there, if one didnt know any better she would seem like a statue.
