Cabron LaSwan Shiny Gligar Cabron LaSwan Shiny Gligar lalala starting a new file on FFX already. ueheheheh.
actually, dunno why, I'm not doing THAT bad, but you can get a lot of power spheres and s**t from that first Sin battle, so I'm just gonna do that. I probably won't mind as much, playing over. Although, those ******** cutscenes. D: I was gonna ask what the point in starting over was but then I remembered there were some things you forgot anyway:
As soon as Yuna is in your party, go back to Besaid and talk to the lady walking the dog. You should get "something mangled and slobbery", which will teach Valefor an extra Overdrive. (Some guides say you can't do this 'til you get the airship, which I think is the result of a cutscene on the path to the boat that makes all the villagers head for the dock or something, so you have to do it as early as you can.)
Yeah, I forgot that, because I only read about it later. - w- I also missed the Al Bhed Primer that's on the salvage ship, but I thought that maybe it would turn up in the desert.
I missed a s**t load of things at Home too, because I just ran through the area. Only got a Lvl 2 Key Sphere. Like, two Al Bhed Primers I think.You don't need to get all the Primers in one run; you can use the little gold and blue spheres to compile them all at the start of every new playthrough.
Also, you made it to Home and you're starting over? Why? Are you stuck on Evrae or something? Oh no, I beat Evrea. I only died once, then decided to put poison ward on everything, which helped occasionally.

(nobutsrsly, imo Evrae is one of the biggest pains in the a** in the game)
Also, Al Bhed Potions are the s**t. I always teach Yuna Use as soon as I get a Special Sphere because you can't multi-target Cure or Esuna. xd

And I just got passed the part where I hunted underwater. So it should pick up soon? Eh, I believe so. You've already met the Lagiacrus, I assume?
