"I guess not...." Lin murmured.
The two seemed to be talking kind of reminded her the way a couple would be strolling through a garden.
Looking back at Haldir she added, "I guess that's it then."
Taking the candy she gave it to Miyuki, since it was Miyuki who wanted to give candy to her ada.

Haldir nodded. "Until we meet again, then," he smiled. "It was nice to see you again. Fare well."
He bowed his head again, showing her respect that his daughter wouldn't be caught dead showing her.

"It was wonderful to talk to you again," Lin replied sincerely with a nod of her head she ushered Miyuki over to Elros and Alena.
"Hey!" Miyuki spoke up as they reached the couple, "Did you find anything you liked?"

Elros and Alena looked down at Miyuki, and Elros smiled warmly at the child.
"There is much here to like," he told her honestly. "But it is not necessary for us. Really, we're just enjoying a relaxing day out. We don't have to tell you that other than the festival at Amon Darthir, we've never had a day like this before."

"Oh.. okay!" Miyuki smiled, "So where are we going now?"
Considering how many shops they visited it wasn't exactly morning anymore, and Lin really wasn't surprised Miyuki wasn't tired yet.
"How about lunch?" Lin inquired wryly.
She wasn't sure if they would make it in time if they headed back now.

Elros looked to Alena. "Lunch?" he asked her, changing languages so that she would understand.
Alena smiled and nodded. "That would be nice," she said softly. "It has been a very active morning. I must admit I'm not used to it."
She wasn't usually as active as she had been today, and she was quite hungry.

"I know of an inn where we can get something to eat, that way we don't have to hurry back to the palace," Lin explained.
She liked it there, and it had been a really long time since she had been there.

"That would be nice," Elros agreed.
Alena laughed softly. "I had forgotten what it's like to just be a normal person," she smiled. "It's simply been so long - and even before I was a part of the court in Amon Darthir, we were always at war ..."
It really was a refreshing and relaxing change for her, having a day like this.

"This way then."
Lin smiled brightly, she sometimes forgot how those of the court at obligations that she wouldn't know. Earendil also always made time for her, even though he was busy at the moment.
Ushering Miyuki out of the candy shop she led them all to the Autumnglow Inn, the only inn Lin really knew of, but that was fine for her.

It was for the best that the Autumnglow was the only inn Lin knew, since it was indeed the best inn in the city - if not the most reputable.
When they entered the inn, they were greeted with a warm welcome by Starr, the woman who had been helping out since Elnara's mother had been a small child. She brought the group to a table before asking them what they wanted to eat.

Lin had to ask what there was first before deciding, because it had been a long while since she had been in an inn at all. Not since her trip around the Southland.
But she managed to decide, even let Miyuki have a say (within reason).

Alena wasn't familiar with the foods here either, and so she asked Elros to order for her. He did, and Starr headed off to prepare their meals.
"This seems a nice inn," Elros commented, looking around. "One of the best I've seen, I have to say."

"It's owned by Serenity's parents," she added for Alena, "Serenity is Earendil's grandmother, it's why I know about this inn. I visited maybe only twice growing up."
Considering how she didn't go into the city that often.

It still didn't mean a lot to Alena, but Elros was impressed.
"I knew Lady Serenity's parents owned an inn, and now I can see why she was always so proud of them when she spoke of it," he smiled. "Do you think that they would have news of her?"
He had gotten to know Serenity quite well during his time on the ranch: the two of them had spent quite a bit of time together.

"I would think so," Lin replied thoughtfully, "I know she and Beren are still traveling, but from my understanding they normally visit family. Granted I don't know if they've been here since Elnara's wedding."
She could kind of understand why they wouldn't, but Ruel had gotten really good about it all, so she hoped so. While it was clear he was still kind of if-y on the whole hybrid idea, an elf was an elf now at least he could handle that.
