*She shrugs.* I didn't see where you hide it on yourself.
*Rests her chin on her palm.*

Well, you can just tell me, now that Bizarro's gone. He didn't seem quite as enamored of NPH as I was...

*Watches as Piper pulls all types of instruments and the such from his pockets.*
It was more to not be overheard. Your studio is sound proof right? My mind is a bit foggy when it comes to it.

Soundproof and there's no surveillance in there. It's twofold....I like to do my soundmixing work in private, and anyone listening in might have...a violent reaction...to some of the things I'm working on.

I think this is it.

Hmmm...
*Listens and looks at the note that Piper flattened. Looks up to his face.*
True, though I was thinking it would be a better place to talk.

So...is anything you ever told me the truth?

*She continues to look up at him.* Don't be like that, Piper. I lied about one thing, *Holds up one finger,* you changed my..... out look on life. I consider us even.
*Pauses a few moments.* I thought you were doing something, but I was wrong. I wasn't going to risk it if you were as you lead people to believe. That is until a few pieces of what I've overheard fell into place.

Fair do's. But from here on out, we're honest with each other. I've lost enough friends and allies in my life.

*Shakes his hand and pulls her hand free after a good shake.*
So, what have you see that I've missed?
*She shrugs.* It seems odd that the only individual that has actually tried to kill Chris, was me.
Even with all of the big players in the Nexus they seem to enjoy relaxing in the Bistro, most nights.

Most of the villains here need a catalyst to swarm and attack. They're not proactive, like yourself. Except for maybe the Joker. And that depends on which personality he's wearing on any given day.
None of them want to venture out and face Lantern's security on their own, and none of them trust each other enough yet to team up. That's the advantage the heroes have, for now. Sooner or later, either Luthor will raise the stakes enough for people to start forming alliances, or someone is going to head out on their own and find enough of a flaw in Powell's defense to risk a strike; and that's going to open the floodgates.

Hmm... *She shrugs.* The shields aren't all that scary. They're pretty harmless in my opinion. *Pauses* A bit of the restricting side but harmless.
None proactive killers? Hmm... That rises the food for thought there.
I think there is something, just below the surface, we're not seeing. Someone has mentioned this Brainy's report. And how it's important. *Pulls a copy of the report from her back pocket and unfolds it before holding it out to him.* Have any thoughts?

Ugh....this cosmic existence stuff is all way above my level of comprehension.
I don't get what this has to do with killing Powell.

I like puzzles.... They lead to far more interesting ... ttings.
*She shrugs.* I want to know why the hit was put out.... Or at least I was listening to as much as I could hear to figure it out. I'm still at a loss. If it was a petty revenge couldn't they just go out and kill him?
I've seen Creed. I've heard his talk about revenge, but I also heard him state that Powell is just the beginning.
