Go, Flutes! I've been a fluter since fifth grade, and I'm a senior in high school. xD I also just found out my flute is old enough to be my mother, if it was a human.
Oh and I'm so happy, the band director at my school got freaking Band Director of the Year in December!!! Tell me that doesn't rawk, I dare you. =D

Blue Xtremes OMG FLUTES OTHER THAN ME!!!!!!! There aren't very many flutes in the band at my school,only....4 in marching band,5 in the total HS band.I'm glad there's other flutes here,that's awesome!We should take over the low brass... Hey a girl can dream can't she?No,I wouldn't do that...maybe.So how long has everyone else played the flute? O_O Holy shi...Really?? We have no less than 15 every year! PLUS one piccolo player, but this year we take up the whole first row and half of the second. O_O You seriously only have 5?? Wow.

Hi flautists!!! My flute has a leak so i have to put tape on the hole that's controlled by the second trill key. The little one that you have to use to play super high B. If it's not on I can't play below low Ab!!! We have a song that goes through low C to super high C so I have to keep changing the tape! >w< whee Dude I sooo have to get that fixed... sweatdrop
Heh...high C is fun to play...luvskoolgeek [[clarinet]] is in our school's band...she knows... wink

I've been playing flute for 6 years now, and piccolo for 2. I'm really excited, State Solo & Ensemble is coming up for me and I'm really hoping I can get a one. This is the first year I've done a solo.

And would like to meet you all! our band HAD a male flautist but he is a trater. he playes the baritone now but he had switched to sax. Grrr to brandon (the male flautist.)

i think it's always weird playing or starting at a new school..when i first started at my school playing my flute was hard because it was all new to me. oh and by the way i'm elexuis

NO, but I want to play the pic.
I've only been playing for 2 1/2 years and I'm a senior in high school. Transferred sophomore year, and didn't do anything junior year because the school i went to, their band sucked and they never taught me anything.
Glad I got that off my chest. 4laugh heart

Wow, I haven't posted here in... FOREVER!!!
I'm sorta sad, but pretty happy at the same time. I know, you're all DYING to know why! So here's the story:
This week, the Band and Band Front went to Florida to March in a Disney Parade, but I couldn't afford the trip, so I was stuck in this terrible study hall when they were away. Pretty much everyone I knew was on the trip, so I was practically alone for the whole week. But! They're coming back today, which makes me very happy.^^
I also learned a very valuable lesson from all this: One should be sure that their circle of friends extends well beyond that of the Band. XD

yeah! i'm a flute/piccolo player. there aren't many of us...kinda sad crying
i love my instrument, i wouldn't trade it for the world.
however, my flute (which i bought used about 3 years ago) is not giving off the same crisp sound as it used to. any help?
