The doorman shrugged and held back a throaty laugh; he was used to threats, and it wouldn't matter much to him if he died anyway. Of late the castle had been on edge about something or other.
The sul'dam crossed through a small side gate to meet the rider-Gerome as she recalled-and test his prisoners. "Line them up for inspection. Even the boy." She said in a brisk manner. She was somewhat tall for a woman, with graying hair in a high ponytail, and a picture of seven intertwined hands on her dress. The lightning symbols on her gown marked her duties in the empire.
On both wrists were a single a'dam; the one on the right was attached to a somewhat rotund da'mane who looked at the five newcomers with suspicion, as if they would steal her position at the sul'dam's right hand. The left a'dam was held loosely in the sul'dam's grip, as she waited for Gerome to follow orders.

((Argh! orry for lack of postage! I hate school. Good job, btw, Merc!))
Mairyela bowed her head slighty as the guards and her Warder bickered, hoping to the Light they couldn't see her face. The man back in Tar Valon had known who she was; what would make them any different? The others, too, looked a little nervous.
She had to hold back a sgh of relief as they began to make their way through, but nearly stopped dead as the guard mentioned the testing. As they were lined up, she could feel her heart give a skip and begin racing. Her features, though, remained calm through her training. Come on Skiiy, she thought. You got us this far perfectly.
She suddenly felt eyes on her, and she raised her eyes ever so slowly, careful to make sure she didn't make eye contact. The stiff gray-haired woman was looking them over with a look of disgust, as though she had never seen simple 'farm peasants' before. Her da'mane was shifting from foot to foot, almost eager to begin. Mairyela had a bad feeling about this.

((Thanks Mini!!
Skiiy, I keep forgetting to ask...who's Henge? *has always noticed that in your sig and been confused by it*
I don't care either way; I'll just puppet the sul'dam accordingly.))

((Getting tested by the da'mane would make the plot line interesting, but it would probably take a while...I say we do it. Then maybe we can get one of Islan's characters in here as a da'mane, maybe. And Merc, you wouldn't be so bored waiting for our never-ending quest to finish off. xd ))

((Alright, I think I'll get Alina's opinion too before posting. My vote is not to, because A. They'll chase after, in which case exciting chase scene commences, B. It's probably what Skiiy would do, knowing the hate Aes Sedai show towards the collars, and considering his recent episode with Mairyela, the reason we're here, and C. If they don't give chase, we can go straight to the Empress, reaching the climax, and giving us a chance of ending the across-the-sea adventure soon, so we can get back to the Tower, interact with the new characters, and give Merc a chance to roleplay her character again without it involving dreaming or making out.))

((Ok; I totally agree with what both of you said, and as for the last part of yours Skiiy, that's a deal on the "no more overly serious and detailed romantic episodes" part...now, you answered everything except one thing:
Who is Henge? sweatdrop ))

((Wouldn't testing them just be snapping the collar of the a'dam onto them to see if it makes them follow orders?
Me try a da'mane? Eh, why not.))

((Henge no Jutsu is just Japanese for Transformation Jutsu, it's not an actual person. The guy who made it put that in instead of Sexy Jutsu cause he's dumb, but it doesn't bother me so much.))

((Skiiy's got a great point; the sooner this is over, the sooner we can get back to the Tower. Henge no Juitsu is a Naruto thing. Gotta love the show!))

Skiiy waves his hand dismissively at the sul'dam as they approach him to test the girls. "No need to waste your time checking these, ladies, we had one of you ladies with our patrol, and she already took the liberty of checking them. I guess she was hoping to place some sort of claim on them or something by finding them first, or something stupid like that. Anyways, none of them tested positive for having the power. I must escort them to the Empress, may she live forever, now, so if you will excuse me." Skiiy bows to the women, then continues to walk his "prisoners" towards the interior of the castle.

Mairyela smiled at how smooth Skiiy was making all this look. Giving an inwards sigh as they passed the woman and her da'mane, she couldn't help but keep her eyes warily on the leash and collar. Taking a fast glance over her shoulder, she saw the other Aes Sedai were as well.
Walking through an arched entryway, they found themselves inside the large castle. The walls of the building was a dark, dreary gray, and the wall sconces cast shadows across the hall. The hallway was narrow and perfectly straight as they made there way along. It was pretty easy going, as no one wanted to stir up trouble with Skiiy in his 'uniform'.
Taking a few flights of stairs, and wandering through a few very long hallways, they finally found themselves in a wide, round anteroom. Tiled on the floor was, what looked like, a large, dark green Rakin, it's rider holding a vicious looking spear. She stared at the amazing tilework, then realized they had stopped moving. Glancing up, she noticed a pair of dark oak doors before them, carved in intricate designs and inlaid with gold foil.
Before she could stop herself, she said, "Wow. We actually found it." Looking around, she saw no one about that would have heard her. There weren't even guards at the doors.
