Sora would position himself away from the Scraggy. It was part Fighting-type, and luckily Sora had captured a flying type.
"Show me what you can do, Vullaby!" Sora said
He gripped Vullaby's pokeball and tossed it into the air. Out from the luminescent light appeart the bird that wore a half-skull as pants. It would ruffle it's feathers and stare at the Scraggy, as if it was lesser than her. She stood tall, high and mighty as if she were the more important one.
>Hmpf...Oh I'll show you alright.<
"Start off with Gust!" Sora commanded.
Vullaby would flap her wings fiercly and create a menacing Gust that would damage the Scraggy greatly.

Mina bit her lip a little then nodded. She could use a fire type against Steel types. She smiled then and commanded. "Terra Tackle it now". She watched as her pokemon charged the other for a simple tackle attack.
Terra shook the flames off, she took damage but very little. Being a ground type limited the Growlithe's power with fire attacks. She growled as she tried to keep the attack going straight for the other pokemon. We shall see who has the better luck
He found that his preparation for dark cave was not necessary as there was enough lighting inside. That's interesting. He would have thought they would give them a dark cave as part of a test, he thought as he walked further inside. Making himself as quiet as he can, to present less target for pokemon. It didn't take long for him to spot a nidoran (m) and stopped in his track.A Nidoran!he shouted in his mind, He had never seen one before as the region he resided in had no such pokemon. A poison and then additional ground after evolving, a good match addition. One of his mission after all was to catch a pokemon. There came the dilemma,Theo won't just add any pokemon into his team and with only 3 pokeballs in his possession. There was chance he might only get to do one attempt.
Brushing away all his thought as he realized he had stared too long, he focused to the nidoran that was ignoring him. It was commendable to ignore a trainer like that. He should test the pokemon and see its worth. That he would at least do as he approached the pokemon."Nidoran" he would say to the Nidoran, to get its attention. "show me your skill" Theo then announced. A fair battle was what he seek with this one, since this one looked so peaceful and calm. Sure,he could have attacked the pokemon and judged its ability to respond. Theo just felt it was wrong in this situation. He had feeling to issue a challenge might got the pokemon's respect. That was always good to give impression on your future pokemon.
█ ██ █ OUT of CONTENT ((should I do the count still or after the battle?)) ((hmm...should I catch or no. Aiming for pawniard, but this one is not bad too. Can't see the stat,so I have no idea how good this one is.too bad no zubat in the cave,I so want one))
Gael continued through the desert alone. How was he supposed to catch a Pokemon? He didn't want to capture one that wouldn't be beneficial, but he also wanted to find one he would get along with for a long while. How could he make a friend in the span of a single mission? Not only that but his first mission! This was going to take a while... But at least his Litwick could get strong while they were here.
Ember[Fire] The target is attacked with small flames. It may also leave the target with a burn. Astonish[Ghost] The user attacks the target while shouting in a startling fashion. It may also make the target flinch. Captivate[Normal] If it is the opposite gender of the user, the target is charmed into harshly lowering its Sp. Atk stat.
Brilliant blue eyes looked up to their mirror image in the sky as a smile crossed his gentle face. The fact he was accepted into the Akumu Academy still hadn't solidified in his mind. He still hadn't gotten to have some solid alone time with his Litwick, but he figured he could do that once this little quest was finished. They would be together for a very long time hopefully, so there would be no need to rush into things just yet. The death of a Pokemon was a troubling thing, and many trainers had to deal with it. Gael, on the other hand, was lucky enough to have a Pokemon who would never leave his side.

Though the Scraggy wouldn't attack offensive with offensive, instead, he would change his tactics as he would start to dance. His feet moving swiftly as he held up his pants as he twirl and twist. He would be like the wind itself, he would move with the flow .....the currents he would move with instead of against. The wind wouldn't touch him, because, he would be one with it ...like a kite, like a dragon, he would move with the wind.
The attack would miss as the Growlithe would wag her tail. This was interesting ...as she felt the breeze of the tackle, and she would twist on her own body to turn back to her opponent with jaws open wide.
Her attack would be aim for one leg ....as she would use Bite. The flames of her attack would continue to churn as it would hit against the ground type as she looked for a good place to grip her in her jaws. A hippo isn't the easiest thing to clamp one's jaws around ...especially a ground one.

(The count should continue after the battle.)
The Nidoran would look up from his meal as he looked back at him and rolled his eyes. WHy did he have to stumble upon the difficult one, but, then again ....he might as well teach him a lesson. Humans never knew when good enough is enough, or when to leave well enough alone.
If they learned that, they would avoid a lot of fights. The pokemon's horn would be pointed at Theo in a direct sign of excepting the challenge.
He would drag his feet in the dirt as he snorted and shook his horn in a aggressive matter.
The area would suddenly grow much hotter ...as the sand would take on a reddish tint that was almost hellish in appearance. The sun would waver in the sky and air itself would seem to wave in the heat ....things had become much hotter than one would have originally thought possible ....as ahead Gael would be able to see that the sands up head had actually burst into flames.
Fire would curl from the sands ...as it would smoke and billow, and from the midst of all that heat ...she would see it. The pokemon's wings spread as the fire bug would literally erupt from the sands. It's eyes would turn towards the one that had evaded it's lands, and the sands would hiss in response to the scales it shed in it's anger.
Humans weren't allowed here. Humans would be driven from it's lands, and with that it would seem that Gael would be left with no choice but to fight a the pokemon doesn't even wait as the flames would cover it's body and it would come charging forward using Flame Wheel.

Theo nodded in approval as the Nidoran readied itself to battle, showing its aggressiveness. His easy going nature was gone, replaced with cold and analytic self. He deemed such emotion unnecessary in battle and only serve to hinder his judgement. Midnight knew the cue for battle and she stood facing the Nidoran, every inch of her body waiting and only needed slightest provocation to move.
Though it was just that ...a stare off as the Nidoran (m) would make no moves. Eyes glowing as he would focus his entire being on the small fire type.
It looked weak to him, and he felt a bit like a bully, but he had asked for this ...haven't they?
His eyes locked as he continued to glare. He would make it a point to give a full force leer.

Midnight was feeling uneasy from Nidoran's stare. It made her nervous to attack and for a while,Midnight was trying not to look away. she knew that to look away from your opponent meant to leave yourself open for attack. She had never been so happy to hear her trainer's command "Midnight use Ember" it gave her reason to free herself from the glare as she distanced herself, flame flaring. She shot it toward the Nidoran at the same moment she jumped backward.
The Nidoran would see that wish to look away, it was enough. One couldn't keep their defensive up like that and concentrate on keeping their eyes on their opponent. It narrowed their field of vision, lower their productivity, and made it easier to get them with something unexpected.
Though before the Nidoran could test his theory the flames would erupt from the Litwick.
Fire type ...it figured they would use that sort of moves ...as he tries to dodge it by jumping to the side.
The flames being allowed to scorch the area behind him if he was lucky, and if it not, he would have a scorch mark that went from near his ear along his side ...almost to his spine on his back.

The battle had just started as Midnight's ember missed its intended target. It was easy to dodge attack,he admitted, since it was straightforward. Theo would then notice how Midnight looked more tense than usual and frowned at the fact. It wasn't a good time to be tense and he had to find a way to make Midnight relax.
Midnight could feel the tenseness in herself as her attack missed. It was only her first attack in the battle, but the exchanged earlier had made her unsure. She didn't want to disappoint her trainer with her bad performance, but she couldn't take her eyes off the pokemon in front of her.
The Nidoran (m) would smirk then as he saw his target's flame wipe pass. He had managed to avoid, and now, it was time he gave back as good at he got ....as he charges forward. Head down, and his eyes locked on the eyes that stared right at him.
He was going to show his opponent why ...you let sleeping Pokemon lie ....as he kicks off at full speed. His head down as he aimed for the ghost with everything he had ...using Head Smash.
