Elros smiled at Lin. "Miyuki seems to be interested in this piece here," he said, pointing at the multi-coloured piece she had shown him. "Myself, I'm not looking, though the items here are very nice."

He tilted his head slightly and nodded back at Lin. "And you?"

Elros smiled and nodded. "About ready to move on, then?" he asked her. "Or is Alena looking at anything?"

Alena had been looking at a jewelry box, but at the sound of her name, she turned and looked at Lin and Elros. "Sorry?" she asked. "Were you speaking to me?"

Alena smiled and shook her head. "Thank you, no. It's all quite beautiful, but if I were to get everything I were interested in we would never be able to carry our bags."

Elros chuckled. "There will be opportunity once we're settled in the Eastland," he assured her.

Elros and Alena made no more purchases in the shops that they visited, and even in the sweet shop it seemed they were going to save their money; but that didn't stop them from looking around and enjoying looking at everything.

Halaleel was the one behind the counter this morning, and her eyes narrowed ever so slightly when she saw Lin enter the shop. Without a word, she disappeared into the back, and very quickly her father came out to take over for her.

"Good morning," he called out in the Common Tongue, greeting his obviously foreign customers. His tone was kind, and it seemed that his disrespect for Lin had vanished.

"Likewise," Haldir replied with a smile. "How are you doing? It has been a very long time since you have been here, or our dear friend, Prince Earendil. How is he?"

He knew about the trip of course - he had gotten a bit of gossip from Regan and Aranxia on their own trips for candy - but he didn't know details, and of course he hadn't yet learned that they had returned.

Haldir smiled ruefully. "Of course. Him and his paperwork."

He tilted his head slightly, looking at the three who had come in with Lin. "And who are these with you?" he asked her curiously. "I've not seen any of them before."

Haldir smiled when Lin introduced Elros and Alena, but when she introduced Miyuki as her daughter, he blinked and stared at the child. Earendil had been very defensive of Lin the last time she'd been in the shop, back when Halaleel had crossed the line of what was and was not acceptable, and he could have sworn that the prince had felt something for Lin ... but this child ...

Though to be fair, the child looked nothing like Lin ...

"You adopted?" he guessed, still slightly confused, and wondering how Earendil fit into all of this.
