Aww, bless ya! Ever hear of Miriam Rivera? She's a transwoman, so respect to her! I'm sure alot of women would kill to have her body as well! There's Something About Miriam was a reality show with her in it, courting several bachelors. They didn't know she wasn't a woman until the end and on the whole, I think the winner took it rather well!
Bless 'er. I also know a really nice transwoman who is a police officer in the Metropolitan police, right angel she is, bless her cotton socks..

Greetings, I am known as Jad, as well as SPI -14 (though the latter name is a ranking in a make-believe organization...)

I've been a fan of Steampunk for a long time, mostly from reading Jules Verne in grade school. I'm working on a major in Civil Engineering. I live on the western coast of the United States, where it rains a lot.

I take interest in new steampunk movies, as well as keep a regular read of the online comic Girl Genius (which never fails to entertain me.)

I am, for the most part, a roleplayer, writer, and a bit of an artist. For the last one, my skills are not particularly impressive unless i'm working on a mechanical subject.

I absoltely love reading books, and if there are any good steampunk novels out recently, please tell me...

My favorite aspects of Steampunk are airships, as well as the gadgetry, though I'd love someday to make an outfit... perhaps when I have the finances...

I hope I haven't bored you, as I sometimes like to ramble on...

Well, nice to meet you all!

Ello mates, im Nevermore, and im a bit of a tinkerer. I'm a tad obsessed with making extravagantly complicated gadgets and the like. My dream is to create my own steam punk styled automocar!

Ello- My name is Amaranth_DMXRemix- If you couldn't see that already you might as well log off gaia because there is no home.
My name before used to be Army Amaranth, It was for a year, Then I got Gaia-married.
There is no relation between me and Captain Amaranth. Amaranth is an amazing song by Nightwish and the word is amazing.

I've only recently become... obsessed... with Steampunk. Abney Park is coming to a convention in Florida this summer. I was happy they didn't have Eyeshine up there and I decided to give them a chance. I merely liked them for a few days- Then I found myself extremely grown on them.
I will admit. When I first heard the Metrocon theme of Steampunk I was like 'WTF? Whatever' I hate myself. From what I've researched and looked at... Steampunk has to be one of the coolest themes I've ever seen.... seriously. I hope to learn more about Steampunk through this and such.

Drop me a PM if you want to talk! If you just want company or need a ear because something Happy/Bad happened. <3 I'm here!

I am Libby, and a great lover of steampunk, crafts, history music etc etc.

I was raised a victorian in part of the summers of my youth and I have a lust for clocks and spend most of my "steampunk" time in clockpunk related endeavors.

I just started my own guild and I am very excited to be here...and there!

Hello all. I am not the best as introductions so I'll make this simple. The name's Redwing, that is what I preferred to be called on here anyway. I'm somewhat new to the concept of Steam Punk, though the ideas and theme I show some interest already in, like the fashion and the Sci-Fi fantasy of it all.
I enjoy drawing (D.A Gallery), reading (anything from Sci-Fi and fantasy to non-fiction and comics), video games (mostly RPG's, one of my classic favorites is Chrono Trigger, and I love FF 6 and 9), animals, outdoor activities, dressing up, hanging with friends, and other stuff that you can learn by getting to know me.

I wanted to join because I really think this style of Steam punk is interesting, it appeals to me, and it has aspects of it that already spark my interest. It's something different. I thank you for letting me join.

Ahoy, fellows~

A bit of a nontraditional introductory clause should be of sufficient post-worthiness, I do believe!

Shopping List:
1. Top Hat, any condition
2. Bronze aerosol paint
3. Brass aerosol paint
4. Garden hose turn-knobs, assorted
5. Small polyvinyl chloride piping, assorted lengths
6. Handheld, electrical powered saw (note: steam power saw too bulky)
7. Tailcoat with vest, any condition
8. Flight goggles, with or without leather cap
9. Steam gauge or similar pressure gauge
10. Assorted functional or non-functional clocks, any types

To-Do List:
1. Construct a working Indifference Engine (or not, whatever *shrug*)
2. Play video games made by Valve (it's okay, they're on Steam!)
3. Educate myself in the science of gear ratios, torsion, horology, and thermal mechanics.
4. Mingle and be otherwise socially active with like-minded individuals

There you go! As far as non-Steampunk related stuff goes, I'm a computer nerd (in the classical sense, not the modern sense of "nerd" where anyone with a computer or a Nintendo DS or an interest in something digital considers himself or herself to be "nerdy"). I play a lot of video games, mainly FPS, RTS, RPG and "puzzle/adventure" games. I make up languages (see signature for guild), I eat a lot of insanely spicy food, and I waste (in the lightest sense of the word) a lot of my time dreaming up things. My favorite genre of anything is Speculative Fiction, which of course includes Steampunk and everything from classical fantasy to cyberpunk and back again to nukepunk (think Fallout 3) and alternate timeline stuff. I'm also a bit of a grammar freak as long as I'm in a good mood... Oh! And I use a LOT of parentheses, if you couldn't tell.

( <-- Look, another one. Oh, and one more over here! --> )

By Jove! It's wonderful to have finally found a place where my Victorian flights of fancy won't come off as a Rum do!

I'm a costumer and prop maker by profession. Through various outlets I discovered the elegance and beauty of the Victorian Era, steam power and late 19th Century science. Since then I have been quite taken with it and have not been able to contain myself!

My alias is Doctor Iris Katherine Rowley, the physician and Tesla Electric specialist aboard the HMS Anoura.

I am currently working on many a costume, most of which are for my good friends who portray the rest of the crew of the Anoura.

Greetings, all! Uh. . . I'm terrible with introductions. Let's see. . .

I've always been fascinated Steampunk/Victoriana, though I've only just recently come across the proper term for it. I think that Victorian æsthetics are absolutely gorgeous, and I have a strange fascination with accent marks and ligatures, as you'll probably come to find out. I'm also a huge music fan, and plan to lurk about in the Arts & Media subforum a lot.

I hope I've not bored you too much! x_Q

Hey, I just joined, so I thought that I should stop in and say hello. After I do a bit more poking around, I'll probably say some more about myself.

Well, after poking around a bit, I must say that I really like so many of the avatar choices around here. That's always one of the trickiest and most fun things when I decide to change up my style, so I applaud everyone's effort and the many that look far more interesting than my own.

I've been a huge fan of Victorian novels for years now, from Sherlock Holmes, to Great Expectations, to The Time Machine, and everything in between. My advisor (I'm an English major) is a Victorian Lit/ Women's studies expert, and the Victorian class that I took with her was a blast. I also enjoy China Mieville's Steampunk novels, beginning with Perdido Street Station, and a whole host of other "modern" additions to the "period" such as the Arcanum RPG.

There's so much to mine in the genre, from attitudes and aesthetic, to clothing styles, to sheer ingenious creativity, that I'm hooked.

Hi, there everyone! I'm known as Chaos! ...Or Blue~

Steampunk never ceases to amaze me.

Especially since I love drawing mechanical things. And robots. Although the robots look more human rolleyes
I also like making things. But they never turn out quite right, so I just stick to drawing. ninja I think I'm going to like it very much here! Heck, I already do!
