The Dúnedain sighed softly, crossing his arms over his cloaked chest, his hands crossed, gripping his bracers. "If you believe you could harm me, you are misguided." He glanced at the female, fingers flexing softly.

Ranu shrugged at the words, unwilling to pledge himself thus, but offered his hand. He offered a light grip, but firm enough to make it clear he had strength in his arm.

Kareswen watched with scepticism. She was already experiencing a deep sense of misgiving about travelling to the most dangerous area in the world with one stranger who he might be a spy, but she was not planning on leading a group into Mordor. With that handshake, the risk of the trip had just tripled, and she was not happy about it. She didn't know the strangers' fighting ability, possible stealth, motivation or loyalty, and there was no possibility of her camping with any of them. Far better to simply lose the lot and go back the way I came. She mused. This wasn't her mission anyway, and, if the enemy was about to discover the path into his lair using a spy, she would rather not be on the way in when he did it. She'd rather he didn't find it all, but still...
She took another look at her would-be companions, and dismissed it. Survival lay in being alone and she wasn't keen to break the habit. Kareswen didn't trust any of them. She would sneak away during the night and leave them to it - after all, she was the only one with a horse.

"On my way here I noticed an area enshrouded by trees. "There was a circular area covered almost completely covered by trees except for the opening at the top. "It's about a kilometer league that way."

"Trees?" Ranu repeated with a low laugh, "You wish to camp near trees, in a land where the Orcs are looking for anything with a love for life, and thus would be watching trees and other, although pitiable in amount, living shrubbery for people trying to walk the land?"
The Ranger shook his head, "You go as you wish, of cause, but I myself plan to seek out something of better cover, if I rest all. I know not of you two rangers, but I know for a fact the female and myself have walked little." He glanced at the female, as if seeing into her mind, "Unless you find yourself unable to keep pace?"

Kareswen barely hid her scowl, but it would give away too much. "I can keep pace." She said quietly. Danger from the others increased, but an escape attempt was more likely to be successful later on.
