Gion blinked. Heatstroke?

Daemon laughed a bit.
Let me put it this way.... hot summer's heat and cold winter's snow are two extreme weathers that certain creatures just cannot take. Too much heat or too much cold just isn't good for a person.

Gion chuckled. I'll take your word for it, he assured Daemon. Just hope it stops snowing soon ... it keeps getting deper, harder to get through ...

I hope we don't miss the place we're suppose to be with all that snow.
Daemon replied back.
If we keep headng north like this it's going to still be snow... you need something to get across the terrian better.

Gion blinked. Well, I'm sure we're going in the right direction, he thought slowly. But what would be better for getting across the snow? It's all ups and downs ...

Hmm... that would be a good question.... Daemon replied back uncertain.
It's going to be a long trip then.

Gion nodded. Another week at least, he agreed. It's a good thing I have so much food and water with me ... I just hope the water doesn't freeze, because I have no way to make a fire.
He chuckled.

Well I don't know exactly how that bag works, but I don't think outside influnces should affect the water much.
Daemon told Gion happily.
Don't know many rune makers.

Gion chuckled again. Well, I guess we'll find out, he thought cheerfully.
Walking through the snow was strange - everything seemed muted, somehow. He could hear his breath, his footsteps crunching slightly in the snow, and occasionally a wild animal or bird. But it all seemed ... well, to be honest, it seemed dead. Motionless. Silent.

Daemon wondered what it sounded like outside... sure more than it would being stuck up in a sword.... he wondered how cold it was... he was sure 'he' was very cold, because he was now made out of metal.

Did you travel much, when you were human? Gion asked Daemon curiously, skidding down another snow bank. It was a question he hadn't thought of asking yet ... which was strange, since the sword had been in his possession for over three weeks now.

Yes, I did quite a bit when I was younger, though considerably less after the children arrived, but there were times my job still took me away from the house. He answered thinking about it, all those adventures. He had met a lot of people in his life, but he, Yume and Long did the most jobs together.

And did you travel in the snow very much? Gion questioned. Did it get this deep in your world?
And just think ... they were less than a week into the northern winter.

No.... not really it depended on the season and not everywhere had snow even in winter.
Daemon replied back.
It sometimes got quite deep back home, but otherwise not that much so in other places.

I think it's getting heavier, Gion thought worriedly, looking up at the sky. It was hard to see through the canopy of foliage, but still, it seemed to be pretty heavy.
Maybe I should stop for the night? he asked more than suggested. He wondered what he would do for shelter ... the wind was also picking up and he didn't want to be out in that all night. Not after learning about Frostbite.
