"Don't take it personally." Alicia said. "If you do and something goes array you'll blame yourself. It's the only way to survive a conflict like this. The success you so desperately seek is subjective. Keep that in mind. Now you will both begin your first worship."
"Worship hard you too." They began to walk toward their objective but stopped before leaving the room they were in. "And you will not follow us. Your job is to keep the guard busy. Do not pull them our way. Death is preferable to giving ground to the enemy. And if they capture us don't not comply with anything they ask for or demand. We're ready to die. Your conscience must not endanger this operation. If we are captured or killed our deaths may haunt you. But if this mission fails because you give into their demands, so help me I will return from the dead and kill you myself." Shlag and Alicia turned on there Thermo-Optic Camouflage and stealthily made their way to their entrance point to await the commotion.

Peilei led them down a series of corridors, then down a spiral staircase into a large area. "The Grandmaster is through those large double doors, and the elevator to the dugeons is right here" She pointed to the elevator on the left of the staircase "I leave this in your hands, I pray for the sake of this world you succeed" She turned and went back upstairs.
Xiaeriene nodded to the girls "Alright, we will cover you, go now!" She waited till the girls had entered the elevator, then oped the double doors.
Puck leaned over to Celsus as the grandmaster looked up from his magazine "Your grace, these are the infidels I warned you of, that girl and her pet there are here to kill you" He stepped back, smiling as he faded into the shadows.
Celsus put down his magazine and stood up "So, the beauty and the beast have come to assasinate me, have they? You two will regret coming to this world and defying my supreme reign!" He held his broom stead, and it began to glow. It disappeared, and in an instant, a large, beautiful spear was in his hands "Let's see how you fare against Tonbogiri!"

Shlag and Alicia slowly and stealthily made their way to Hallas' cell. Shlag had the distinct feeling they were being watched the entire time. After about 10 minutes they had arrived at the cell. All guards they had run into were silently killed. Alicia took a shaped charge from her armor's charge case. Shlag stacked up on her to watch her back. Alicia placed three small shaped charges on the cell door's weak points. They both pulled back to a safe distance and detonated the charges. The door fell from it's hinges with a loud crash.
They quickly moved to the door, their stealth advantage being ripped away by the explosions. Alicia went into the release Hallas. Shlag remained in the hall as a guard, watching all entrances. Alicia lifted Hallas. "Got her!" She said to Shlag.
Just as she spoke Satsujin attacked. Her photon dagger buzzed as Shlag's defensive shield deflected it. Shlag quickly grabbed her arm and threw her away from the exit. "Go!" Satsujin caught herself and jumpeddd off of the wall she was hurled at. Shlag pulled her only melee weapon she was issued, an officers Power Sword. The two blades connected and an explosion of raw psychic energy exploded into the hall.
Shlag forced herself forward pushing against Satsujin with all her might. Satsujin pushed back and after a moment intentionally gave way. Her SUV weapon had been fully charged before her arrival in Fortis. As she slid backwards she activated it. Her weapons melded into a large photon cannon. Shlag knew her shielding wouldn't hold out against an attack like this. The charged particles burst forth from the cannon. She pulled her bolter pistol and shot the ground just below Satsujin's planted left foot. The ground exploded from underneithe her. She fell to her left the phonon blast glanced off of Shlag's shield completely depleting it. It strafed up the wall to the left of the cell Hallas and Alicia were in. A large explosion rocked the cell block.
Alicia took this chance to escape with Hallas. She had dashed toward the elevator before the smoke and debris had cleared. Shlag launched an assault just before Satsujin's weapons took their original appearances. Her first attack, a downward slash, was easily dodged but was followed up with a knee to Satsujin's gut. The blow did next to no damage. Satsujin released her limiter briefly and landed a powerful punch with her left arm to Shlag's abdomen. The force of the punch threw Shlag down the hall. Satsujin's mech gun appeared in her left hand and she immediately open fired. However only two shots fired and Satsujin's visual sensors became blurry. Shlag's knee had released a swarm of nanobots that were now waging a war inside Satsujin against her own nanobots. The first photon bolt landed just next to Shlags head and the other had blasted through her armor plating but left her unharmed.
Satsujin's legs weakened and her knees buckled slightly. Shlag quickly sttod and ran over to to Satsujin. The Red Fury had taken hold of her. She landed a kick to Satsujin's head throwing it back. She quickly grabbed her head and slammed Satsujin through the wall behind her. Satsujin looked as though she had shut down. Shlag stabbed her power sword through Satsujin's chest. A bust of energy exploded from the blade. She pulled the blade out and quickly made her way to the elevator.
Satsujin's body had entered safety mode to get rid of the nanobots. After a few moments her body recovered and the nanobots got to work repairing the damage she had sustained from Shlag's last flurry of blows.
Shlag entered the elevator with Alica and Hallas. "By the Emperor's name! We need to get to the L.Z."

"Nergal pulled out his spear, and stood in front of Celsus. His expression was serious "Xiaeriene.....just go. Get out of here now!" He turned to her with an uneasy smile "I think, I kinda have fallen in love with you, so there's no way a creep like this will beat me!" He turned his focus back to his opponent as she nodded and left the room. "The Dragonfly Cutter Blade, eh? I guess there is more to you than meets the eye." He stood ready, focusing his energy into his spear. He knew he was at a disadvantage. His spear would most likely not last long against one of the three spears of legend. But, he knew this was his battle, and he had to see it through. He would win, he knew it in his heart. "EAT THIS!!!" He charged forward, swiping his spear in a full circle, sending a shockwave of pure energy in the Grandmaster's direction

"Hmph! How futile" He sidestepped Nergal's rush, and spun around, whacking the bvoy hard in the back, sending him flying into the statues on the east wall. "Give it up now, boy, you cannot hope to defeat me, the destined ruler of this world, and master of the Dragonfly Cutter Tonbogiri!"
Xiaeriene ran over to Shlag and Alicia as the emerged from the elevator. "Are you two alright?" She turned and looked to Hallas for a bit "We've got little time, I'll take you personally!" She placed her hands on the two girls, and then closed her eyes and focused on the Emperor's aura. In an instant, they all were teleported into his audience chamber. "Hey Gramps, we're back, and we brought your neice!"

Nergal got up quickly, regaining his stance, facing down Celsus with a fierce gaze. Damnit, he isn't just all show, this isn't going to be asimple as I thought... He focused, aiming his spear at the man, and rushed. But he then turned suddenly, attempting to sidestep Celsus's attack and swung his spear around toward his head

Shlag and Alicia dropped to a knew and bowed before the Emperor. The Emperor placed his left hand on forehead and rubbed his temples. "Xiaeriene. The mission, if you recall, was to free Hallas, bring her to a designated drop zone and radio in so the rest of the invasion force could drop in with a secured drop zone. So, now they're alerted to the presence of special forces activity and they'll most likely be ready for an offensive. Leave Hallas and teleport back down to secure the LZ. There should be enough time to land strike forces quickly enough to still catch them off guard. Once the strike forces are on the ground, you're free to leave if you need to. Sergeant, Private. Make sure she doesn't leave before this is complete." "Yes your Excellency The God Emperor." "Yes your Excellency The God Emperor." They said simultaneously.

She turned to the emperor and nodded "Yes, I know, but my hunch was correct, and the Black Star Nation is involved. It was that android b***h from the future, I sensed her presence down with Shlag when they went to free Hallas. Also, something else, I sensed another of their kind, and strangely, there seems to be a lack of good security. I am beginning to think they set this up to ensure the success of this mission, but why they would do so I cannot say, I have not yet found out their true motives for causing chaos in the the worlds. Nevertheless, you are correct, the mission is not over. And do not worry, whether or not you believe me, I cannot leave here until this has been seen through, it would disgrace my father's name to back out now. Besides, you gave me something precious earlier, so I don't mind. Gramps, you really are a great man, you know, I'd very much like to fight with you again later" She bowed, then turned and placed a hand on the two girls' shoulders "Let's go" She teleported them back to the entrance hall. The sound of fighting could be heard in the throne room, as Nergal and Celsus went at it "Shlag, Alicia, thank you, I am glad I am here with you two. Now, let us get this over with"
"You certainly are skilled yourself boy! But I will be the one to kill you in the end, a filthy animal like you has no hopes of defeating me!" Celsus grinned and rushed Nergal, leaping for a diving thrust
Hallas knelt before the emperor "Uncle, I..." She wasn't even sure what to say. Since regaining her early childhood memories, and the discovery who she was, she now knew not how to proceed
Puck appeared from the shadows in front of the girls "Ah, I see you have put a few things together eh? Oh well. Silly girl, you cannot hope to fathom the ideals of the Nation."

"Don't worry, child. Have faith in your blood line. All will become clear in time. For now we wait and have faith in our soldiers. It is all a ruler can do."
"Xiaeriene your friend must retreat. His death will be worthless right now. Go get him." She nudged Xiaeriene in the direction of the throne room. She then directed her attention to Puck and said, "I don't know what your 'nation' wants here, on this forsaken, radiation smothered planet, but know this: you will meet resistance at every step from now on."

Xiaeriene shook her head, remembering the passionthat burned in Nergal's eyes "Forgive me, but I cannot. This is Nergal's battle, and his alone. I would dishonor him to interfere. Such is the way of a true warrior. You may not understand it, and you may not agree with it, but that is how things are. Nergal fights for something precious, and he has no regrets. And, neither do I" She drew Icebolt and took up position "Besides, it seems we ourselves have a battle to fight ourselves!"
Puck laughed "Come now, children, and here I thought we could become friends. We are ensuring your mission is a success, after all, so what is the issue?" He grinned devilishly "You need to go below, the Megaplex is not heavily guraded at the moment, so you girls will have no trouble getting there and destroying the place. And You, the Pillar of Control, you are the Catalyst required to activate the Trans Gate, you ahve already been in contact with the Golem, so you now have the key to unlock it." He sunk into the shadows, laughing. "Satsujin, all is going according to plan, do you plan on gauging their might once they reach the megaplex?"
Hallas stood up with determination "You are right, Uncle, I cannot be irrational or hasty, it would only bring about my end. Therefore, I can only remain by your side, and follow your orders without question. But, do you think she will be able to purify the Blood Sea?"

"You'll regret it when we find his disemboweled corpse. No matter how much you say you wont regret it, you will. " Alicia snapped at Xiaeriene.
"Say what you will. An order remains an order. And an order from me, to you, should be as though they were spoken by His Excellency. Personal honor takes a back seat to the mission objective! Get him now." Shlag directed sternly. "His death will be meaningless! Could you live with yourself knowing you willingly sacrificed a friend whose life could have been better spent elsewhere? Every 'true warrior' says that until they lose someone that's important to them. To let him die here is tantamount to heresy! We regroup! Now!" For the first time when dealing with Xiaereine, Shlag had to raise her voice. She had over 150 years of tactical knowledge more than Xiaeriene. She knew what she was doing. They would regroup and fall back to the L.Z. where they would call in reinforcements. Receiving any intelligence from an enemy who has betrayed their allies is bound to be a trap. The higher numbers would be a greater asset when they take the city and the Megaplex.
"I... have seen her power. I remain skeptical. And even if she did, the planet would remain barren for years to come an the creatures of the deep wastes could run rampant. The Necrontyr could take advantage of it as well. That would plunge this world into a conflict far bloodier than we have seen to date. It wouldn't be nation against nation for a final peace. It would be for the complete survival of everyone on the surface of that planet. No matter how few those survivor's numbers may be. It would be like fighting an undying army of millions with a few hundred thousand. Whatever the scenario... It will probably be a bleak outcome."

Xiaeriene closed her eyes and shook her head "I cannot, if I were to interfere, it would only cause sorrow, and I would only be in the way. You may not understand the wqay of such warriors as us, but, I ask that you please do not jeopardize this mission for the sake of one person. We have a mission, that takes precedence over his life. My personal feelings aside, I must do what I must for the sake of this dying planet, no matter what may come of me or those I care for." She turned away from the girls "I have seen enough death, enough throwing away of lives, of those I care for. But, I also know what it means to fight for something important to you, and I must fight for this dying planet. It is my destiny, whether or not you believe it. Just as it is his destiny to fight, and defeat that man, and take that spear as his own. We may yet be walking into a trap, but it is better than standing around here arguing. We press on, the Megaplex ios our target. And if you would stand in my way, then this will be where we part ways."

"Fine. Go then, go a die alone. A pig headed dolt like you is no asset to a unit. You know nothing of working as a team. Go walk right into their trap and as you beg and plead for help, you'll receive none. As for us. we'll go complete our actual mission, a mission that has nothing to do with that place your so eager to die in. You're telling me not to endanger the mission for one person? Fine. We'll leave the fool who's really endangering the mission to go do as she pleases." Alicia had been cooking a stun grenade for about two seconds. She quickly rolled it between them and Puck. By the time the light vanished Shlag and Alicia were cloaked and making their way to the LZ.

Nergal dodged the diving attack, twirling around "Eat this old man!" He swung his spear around, going to slice the throat, but his spear was caught by his opponent's, and was sliced in two Damnit! He sidestepped his opponent's attack, but was suddenly distracted by the commotion in the entrance hall. "No, you girls must go now!"

Celsus grinned, and used the distraction to catch Nergal off guard. He pinned the boy to the wall, Tonbogiri piercing clean through his upper arm, bicep, bone and all. He laughed as his opponent writhed in pain "Learn to pay attention, fool. This is the end for you!" He yanked Tonbogiri out and went for a killing thrust
