Drakyn couldn't help but be mildly frustrated. The difficulty level was one thing, but the over all training time was taking too long. At this rate he would still be training but the time he usually ate his dinner. He decided to pick up the pace, not waiting for the clone to come to him but rushing toward it as well, hoping to speed the process up just a bit.

His overall performance seemed to drop, but he figured, or rather hoped, it would improve after he got more used to the new pace. He ran toward the clone as it ran toward him, it attacking and him ready to dodge.

Drakyn was ended getting in more attacks in a shorter time, but he paid for the increase as the clone managed to strike him firmly in the abdomen. He grimaced but continued on. He would have to deal with face paced action sooner or latter, and he referred to do it when losing meant a days rest rather than death.

He did a little better that time, at least he didn't get hit. He took a deep breath then tried again.

This seemed to be going nowhere. With all his effort he just couldn't seem to land a blow against the clone. He had to stay calm though. He had to stay focused on the enemy, react to the attack, and use the motion of the dodge to strike back forcefully against the target.

Even though he knew what he had to do, actually doing it was far more difficult. Yet he just needed practice...at least that's what he told himself. He had to keep trying. He calmed himself and then prepared to trade blows with the clone...

The last try was close, but it was still a miss for him. He remained calm, he had to if he hoped to complete the training at all.

The clone managed to him him again, sending him back. This time it took a while to get back up. He was growing weaker he could tell, and he wouldn't be able to take many more hits like that one. He stood up slowly, trying to ignore the pain in his side. He resumed his stance and readied himself for the next attack.

The first of the last two attacks went smoothly, but the clone still managed to just barley escape his counter attack. The next round wasn't as well for the clone however. Drakyn dodged that attack then gracefully spun around to meat the target. This time the clone was not already far away, but right there in front of him as his attack hit home. He clone was the one to be knocked back a bit this time. However, Drakyn hadn't the time to revel in his success, as the clone soon renewed it's attack.

Baki was seeming to have a little trouble finding the stick and bringing it back at any great speed. she would find the stick, but it took too long for her to really be learning anything. Scarr, however, was starting to learn a bit more. it was odd. he normally wasn't that smart, but he was getting this circulatory system in his head pretty well.

This time didn't go well at all. The clone got in a good clean hit. Drakyn took awhile to recover from it's blow. He knew well that one more hit was about all he would be able to take without losing consciousness. He might not be able to finish the training all in one go, but he still had a chance to go further with it, so he had to try. He stood back up, trying hard not to notice the way his body ached. He took a deep breath and prepared as the clone came at him once more.

Baki had been so quick to bring back the stick she ran into Scarr as he was reviewing a part he'd just read. "baki relax." Scarr said bluntly as he tossed the stick foward into the training area. Scarr burried his face in the book and re read the part he'd forgotten.

Drakyn was not far from being beaten, but he managed to dodge both the clones blows and managed to return one of them successfully. He saw that the clone also seemed to show a bit of weariness. Perhaps, just perhaps he would make it. Another pain from his side told him it was a long shot, but he would try it anyway, he was so close after all.

This round was favorable to neither side, but at least that meant Drakyn had not been hit. He could feel the weakness in both himself and in his target. One more hit was all he figured he would need, just one more....Drakyn put all he had into these last few moves, for they would determine whether he would finish now or have to wait till later.

((Couldn't have asked for a better ending....))
The clone hit Drakyn hard. It knocked the wind out of him. Drakyn was almost out of energy, but almost. The clone took the next opportunity to attack, aiming to finish him off, but Drakyn, though stunned, still managed to dodge the attack, and managed to get the clone in the perfect position to strike back. He Put all he had into his next move. He struck with all the force he could muster added to the motion from the dodge. The clone made to get away, but just didn't have enough time. The blow hit it square in it's middle. The clone was knocked back like usual at first, but then erupted back in to the puddle of what from whence it came. Drakyn was left standing there, breathing heavily. He dropped to his knees and continued his heaving breathing, but he started to smile. It had been close, but in the end, he had done it. It had taken everything he had, but he had done it. He fell back into a sitting position, too tired to do much else, but all the while smiling. It was indeed that hardest training he had done. For now he would be happy to just rest for a while, glad it was over, glad he had done it.
(Training results: Dexterity +1 ; Dodging Palm Taijutsu (correct?))
