((Lol, it's all good.))
Quigs. He’d already had his run in with a nasty group of them and he presently bore the cuts and bruises to prove it. But, as he had read in the journals, they were different for every territory. For Denduron they were fairly larger and seemingly more deadly.
As Celiene mentioned them Booker cringed. Her attempt at trying to make the situation seem less frightening wasn’t working. If Booker were to admit it flat out then he would say that he was a bit of a craven. He wouldn’t run away from a problem but that didn’t mean he wasn’t to be shaking in his boots before it. He could be terrified before any challenge but this only made him fight stronger during. He often wondered why he couldn’t be brave before and during the event.
He took the whistle from her, seemingly confident in his actions but feeling like a terrified child.
“A-are you s-sure we won’t have any p-problems?” he asked, the tremble back in his voice.

Celiene turned back to face Booker, and managed a small smile. "Positive," she answered. "Never lost to a quig before, and I don't plan on starting." Confidence. Possibly over-confident. But quig-fighting was her thing, it was just her special skill. It took speed and agility, quick-thinking and reflexes, and challenged Celiene. Yet she wasn't sure that killing was something to be proud of, and certainly wasn't meant to be a hobby... but it kept her alive... right...?

Booker nodded to Celiene and gave her a firm look that said I’ll trust you.
“S-so how are w-we getting out of here?” he asked, “You did say we were on a mountain.”

"Right," Celiene said, brightening slightly as she was pulled out of her troubled thoughts. She left for a moment to go into a nearby cave. Celiene quickly found what she was looking for and dragged it over. "This," she answered, positioning the sled at the correct angle. "Or -- do you not have sleds on... Quill...an?" Celiene asked, forgetting for a moment what the name of Booker's territory was but recovering in time.

Booker looked at the strange contraption and shook his head.
“We didn’t have anything called . . . sleds.” Booker mumbled. He glanced from Celiene, to the sled, then to the opening of the cave. He looked back to the flume then to opening of the cave again when something caught his eye.
At first it just seemed like someone was standing just out of sight, but the shadow was too tall. He was about to tell Celiene but the thing had stepped out into full sight. He froze as he saw the enormity of the creature. It was one of the most terrifying things he’d ever seen, and he had seen quite a lot for his young age. He silently pulled on Celiene’s arm and pointed up to it.
Celiene looked up and saw the beast then quickly grabbed a spear from the side of the sled. “That would be a quig.” She said.
Booker saw that she was about to attack and pulled her back. The quig beast roared and lunged for the two of them. Booker, kicking it into defense mode, lost all terrified traits to him and took the spear from Celiene’s hand. Pushing Celiene out of the way, Booker hurled the spear and jumped out of the way himself. Then, grabbing Celiene’s arm, he sprinted into the cavern deeper.
The quig was hit by the spear in the shoulder, but this did not stop the crazed beast and he lumbered after them roaring loudly. Suddenly a piercing sound came to the quig’s ears that only the beast could hear. The monster stopped dead and dropped to the floor, howling in pain. Booker had remembered the whistle.
“Celiene!” Booker shouted in between breaths and blowing on the whistle, “Use the flume! Call out a territory and get us out of here!”

Celiene was still in too much shock to function properly. There had been a quig right in front of her and before she could act someone had taken her spear from her. She wasn't sure if she was angry or embarrassed, probably a mixture of both, but one thing was for sure; she was confused. Flume... she'd never used the flume before, but her father had readied her for it in all of his journals. Which territories were there? Then she remembered. Her father had talked highly of it, though he'd never been there himself, he only knew of it second-hand from Pendragon. Yet it seemed so perfect, so peaceful... "Cloral!" Celiene finally shouted, somewhat uncertainly, and the flume sprang to life.
ooc// they /are/ going to Cloral, right? XP //

((Yeah, it's Cloral 3nodding ))
As soon as Booker felt his feet leave the ground he stopped blowing on the inaudible whistle and closed his eyes. His first flume trip was rather terrifying for him and he wasn’t sure he would like the second one either considering each one followed barely escaping certain death.
The light’s dimmed a bit and the music faded but didn’t go away. As gravity was lost Booker laid back, quite literally, onto his back. He kept his eyes closed, looking pale and tired and feeling like he could just pass out right then and there.

ooc//that's good ^__^; //
Celiene nearly screamed in surprise as her feet left the ground, but shut herself up in time. Father didn't scream, she told herself. So neither can you. It took a few deep breaths to get her act together again, but was petrified nonetheless. Finally, the sound of waves approached, something Celiene wasn't all too familiar with. "W-what's ahead?" she asked in a shaking voice. She racked her memory for all that her father had said in his journals. Seeing as he'd never been there, he couldn't be too precise. But he'd said Cloral had a lot of water... but surely the roaring sound ahead couldn't be water, there was never that much water in one space... "Do you know what's going to happen?" Celiene asked in a determinedly even voice.

Booker had returned to the terrified state he had been in before but this time his thoughts were a little less clear. He desperately needed rest and soon or he’d fall asleep. But what made being scared even worse was the fact that it wasn’t just him, but Celiene too now.
“I-I don’t know . . .” Booker replied in uncertainty, “It sounds like water. Cloral is covered in water, right? I think it is . . .”
Before Booker could continue the flume ride came to an end and gravity took hold of them. But this time he wasn’t just set down on the ground but rather left hanging in the air. All he could see at the moment was blue which meant one thing. Yup . . . it’s covered in water . . .
Booker was dropped and he plummeted downward into a pool of water with a loud splash. Well . . . I think we’re here.

At first Booker couldn’t figure out which way was up. He let himself float for a second to see which way he was pulled knowing that he would most likely float upwards. He kicked his feet now knowing where he was going. As soon as his head broke the surface he spat out a mouthful of water and took a great breath.
“Celiene?!” he called out frantically for the girl, “Where are you Cel—ahh!”
Booker was startled as he turned around to see not Celiene but two other people. He spluttered frustratedly and shook his wet hair out of his face.
“Why does this day just never end?!” he groaned.

Celiene couldn't stop herself from screaming as she fell for what seemed like miles and miles through the air until finally landing in such a vast body of water. She hardly had time to hold her breath before she was immersed in the ocean. Don't breathe, she told herself silently. Don't breathe just yet. The weight of the water began crushing down on her. Now then... how was she supposed to get back to the surface...? Swim. Right. Okay. She knew what she was going to do. But how was she going to do it? If the water's above her and she was below then she'd have to try pushing the water down so she'd float back up... but how? She sank lower and lower until the forms of the other three were little dots above her, barely understanding what was happening, the water was causing her thinking to go out of order...

Hezex looked at Ezeal he was still in shock, then at the person treding water in front of them. there was one missing. "we are your friends" Hezex said to the person who was floating in front of him. then dove & swam after the one who sank it took him almost thirty seconds to swim down to the other traveler. hope he's ok he thought as he swam. "dont worry im here to help" hezex said just before he took off his air globe and put it on what he was now pretty sure was girl "dont panic" he said using the last of his breath. he then took off his bouence belt, strapped it on the girl, & watched her float to the top. after he was sure he was safe he pressed the button on his neck to turn on the breathing device but nothing happened.

Booker didn’t say anything to the two strangers but looked around frantically for Celiene. She wasn’t anywhere. When he saw one of the strangers dive down into the water he now knew where she had gone to. This put him in a bit of a panic state, but when he saw the boy helping her he relaxed a little. He then took what the boy had said into consideration. They were their friends.
As Celiene floated to the surface Booker swam to her hurriedly. She had a strange device over her head but he supposed that it had helped her.
“Celiene! Are you alright?!” he asked, treading the water next to her. He was about to continue but he noticed that the one that had helped her had not yet come back up. Booker peered into the water and saw him still beneath them in the water. Is that an ‘uh-oh,’ or is he alright?
