 Loki (M) Jolly Lv 5 HP-40 Attacks Pound-20 Growl-10 (8/15) Kaya and Loki looked out into the woods from Oldale town. Kaya looked down at his little buddy and smiled." Let's get outta here. We've only got a little way to go before we hit Petalburg city. That's where norman, and our first gym battle waits for us." the Treeko jumped onto Kaya's shoulder, as was his usual place. Kaya ran quickly into the woods, dodging the many trees that seemed to loom out of the shadows and into his path. He noticed a few random pokemon as he ran and reached Petalburg city after only a few hours of running and resting every now and again.

Kent didn't encounter any trainers on his way to Oldale, probably due to the fact that it was a weak area. He and Mudkip entered Oldale and began to look around. It was a little bit bigger than Littleroot. There was a PokeCenter, a PokeMart, and a house or two. He looked at the PokeMart ruefully. His dad probably could have given him some money for items to buy. However, Kent had only asked enough for food. He didn't want to be coddled on this journey and that was exactly what his father would do if he let him. Now he regretted that decision. He continued walking north and went to another patch of grass. Maybe he could find some pokemon up here.

((bump)) Apparently not. There might have been a lot of wild pokemon but he couldn't find any. So far, his first day of being a pokemon trainer was actually kinda boring. He stood up and picked up Mudkip. He looked up at the sun and judged that he had a few hours left of sunlight. He spoke to his mudkip as he walked. "We have just enough time to get to Petalburg City before it gets dark. That is, if we don't run into any trainers or wild pokemon. In fact, I would prefer getting there a little late with a new pokemon then being alone with you there. That doesn't mean that I don't like you." Kent rubbed Mudkips head and Mudkip rubbed against him with pleasure. "It's just that three people would have more fun than two." Kent traveled through Oldale and started heading up the route to Petalburg. ((  Mudkip lv. 5 HP-40 Attacks Tackle-20 Growl-10 4/15 Exp 4 Bumps 6 Posts))

Somewhere in the distance, a dodrio was perched on a rooftop, singing his morning song. They walked outside to begin training for that day. All around were tall trees that had berries of all sorts growing on them.

The target was ugly and falling apart, but even so, she was proud of herself. "Practice your tackle on this target to get a good aim." Rikku looked at her feet. A shiny, red and orange stone lay there. In the middle there seemed to burn a flame that did not flicker but stood still. She knew this to be a fire stone.

"It's time to stop training and eat some lunch." By now the targets had shattered and Mudkip and Zigzagoon were tackling another tree. The two ran to get their meal before the other. Rikku broke off pieces of a sandwich and sliced an oran berry that she had picked up at oldale town.
