Hi. I'm Sarah. I'm a recent high school graduate living just outside New York City. I'm taking a year off before college, so I'm a bit lacking in intellectual stimulation at the moment, which was my impetus for joinin' this guild.
My favorite authors include Jonathan Safran Foer, Haruki Murakami, Don Delillo, Luis de Berneires, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Terry Pratchett, John Steinbeck, Ben Okri, J.D. Salinger, T.H. White, Douglas Adams, and Charles Bukowski.
When I was younger I read nothing but fantasy and sci-fi, but I've been distancing myself from that phase lately. These days I'm trying to explore some contemporary authors of literary fiction and magical realism, and I absolutely love it. And I'm eager for recommendations! My reading material has been stagnating lately. sad
Anyway, nice to meet you all. Hopefully we'll have some great discussions.

Hello everyone! My name is Jamea, but all of you can call me by my username thanks. My favorite authors are perhaps Victor Hugo, and others. I will add more about my favorite books and authors later xD. I'm kind of in the middle of something at the moment and I just want to post this here before I forget. I'm sixteen years old as well.
EDIT 9/27: My other favorite authors are; L.Divine, George Orwell, Diana Jones Wynn, Arthur Golden, Judy Blum, Barbara Park, Beverly Clearly. My favorite books are by those authors of course. So that's it for now then...=D
I have a goodreads account, and I write as well as draw besides reading in my spare time.

Hi! I'm new to the guild. My favorite book is Memoirs of a Geisha. My favorite author is Arthur Golden, though I must admit that I've lost respect for him once I've discovered how badly his lying had hurt Mineko Iwasaki.

Well, you can call me Fleo, and despite all the androgynous clothing I am a girl. I don't think I have a favorite author, but I must say that at this point my favorite book is Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut. Some other authors I really enjoy are Shakespeare, Dostoevsky, and Orwell, and some books I particularly like are A Clockwork Orange, A Tale of Two Cities, and the poem The Raven. Surprisingly I'm not a Twain fan. All time favorite poem... It's a tough call, but I may just have to say Curiosity by Alastair Reed, just because it affected me so profoundly the first time I read it.

Hey there, my name is Tony. I like books from John Grisham, Philip Pullman, Orson Scott Card, Jean Auel, and Richard Bachman (I know that last one is just a pen name, but those books were really good).
My favorite author, however, has got to be Garth Nix, with my favorite book being Abhorsen.
I have so many books, I don't know where to put them!

Hi, I'm Tiggermyk and I am addicted to reading.
Wait, this isn't the support group? Well, oops. sweatdrop
But anyway, I'm mostly into romance and fantasy. I'm currently on the search for Scott Lynch's Red Seas Under Red Skies, which is the sequel to The Lies of Locke Lamora. Although I've know of the wonderful world of comics for a while, I only just got into them with Bill Willingham's Fables.
Eh, too many favorites to list. 3nodding

Hi, I'm Keira, and I'm a currently a high school senior. I don't seem to have much time to read anymore, so I use class time to read usually. I've recently been sick, and it's destroyed any mental capabilities I've had, so I've been struggling to read. It's a new experience for me, since I started reading when I was three. But I'm working on it. Right now I'm reading the Dark Series by Christine Feehan. There's Carpathian (not vampire ^.^) romance novels.
Most of what I read is fiction, a mixture of fantasy, historical, and romance. I recently started branching off into non-fiction essays on interesting topics. And I also have too many favorites to list.
