I'm Steve. I'm fairly new to Gaia -- less than one month now -- and still finding all the things I can do here.

Anime you say? Why yes please. . . I go to an anime meeting group once a month, and I met my two best friends there. Problem is, there is a rather irritating teenage contingent there, who always have to loudly proclaim why the stuff they watch on Cartoon Network is the best stuf EVAR, and if you respond otherwise you are ghei and they won't invite you to play YuGioh. My loss, I suppose.

I'm 34. Yes, thirty-four, as in I was born in 1971. I own a house and a car, have a good job, and I still list anime and video games as my main hobbies (along with target shooting, Boom yay!). But, you're only as old as you feel, so I act like I'm 19. It helps.

I helped finance the "first wave" of anime in the late '80s, when every video tape you could find was $40. No matter what it was, or how long it was, one tape = $40. At night, I can hear my tape collection degrading. . . crying

Favorite anime? Urusei Yatsura. That and Project A-ko got me hooked. After that, no real favorite, but some stand-out series come to mind. . . Vandread, Magic User's Club, Battle Atheletes, Black Heaven, Last Exile, and Irresponsible Captain Tylor all come to mind. . .

I have a female avatar, for the same reason that I aways pick the girls in fighting games. I have a weakness for cute things, in animation or real life or whatever. So I would rather see my cute chinese girl everyday instead of yet another male avatar dressed in black holding two swords. Simply my preference.

My other hobbies include reading sci-fi, playing Mah Jongg, astronomy, watching movies, and going to conventions.

Favorite Anime: Well, Cowboy Bebop is my overall favorite. I just love everything about the series. <3 But as for my current fandoms, I'm obsessed with Keroro Gunsou and Lupin III. It seems like I always go for the series with memorable characters.....good characters is what will usually hook me to a series. ninja

I'm also a big fan of "old-school" Pokemon. Because face it: Pikachu tastes delicious when dipped in caramel.
