You know, the Japanese term for idiot, "baka," is written with characters that literally mean "Horse-deer," and supposedly the origin of the term was a time when a Chinesse official, Zhao Gao, who was plotting against the emporer, decided to test the loyalty of his servants. He pointed at a deer that he was going to offer to the Emperor and called it a horse. Anyone who disagreed with him, he had executed.
The "An orange is a vegetable" quote reminded me of that. xd

lymelady I can't stand watching MY GUILD being degraded and called a bunch of preteens and breeders. I don't mind being called a preteen... 4laugh It's y'know, wildly inaccurate (I don't even get carded at the liquor store! gonk ) but hey, I'm going to cling to my youth as long as sanely possible. I -hate- being called anti-choice, especially when the same people who insist on calling me anti-choice get all insulted if I call them pro-abortion, the -least- insulting name I can think of for them, and insist that anti-choice is perfectly okay, while pro-abortion isn't.
Well ******** them! From now on, people who call me anti-choice are at the very least pro-abortion to me. I won't even bother trying to explain it to them, but they will become either anti-life or pro-abortion. If they are lucky.
Although, since I don't debate anymore, I doubt it'll really come up. But still. If it does...

good theory. especially when they ARE for abortion. one two levels- they accept it as an option, AND some of them turn down adoption threads as well as the other options for a pregnancy (which isn't pro-CHOICE at all, it is indeed pro-ABORTION)

I don't get that either. Some of them are pro-abortion, considering they don't like the idea of adoption, or a kid living off welfare. So, to them, abortion's the best choice to make.
My boyfriend lives off welfare, in the ghetto. confused Does that automatically mean he's going to have a bullshit life? Hell no. He gets good grades, is the star of all his school's sports teams, is a poet, has a huge heart, and will fight for his beliefs until he meets his demise. Oh yes. And he's only 5'5". whee
Why does low income automatically doom you to a life of poverty and hatred and suckiness? Why does adoption automatically doom you to a life of abuse and abandonment?
I mean, instead of aborting every child that isn't healthy, or white, or male, why not try to open the minds of other people that specifically want a white, healthy, male child to adopt? Why not show them the difference that one can make in a child's life, and show examples of compassion for parents that raise children with severe disabilites?
