Cameo wrinkled it's nose, annoyed that finally it had found a place to get some information and this had to happen. It would. Everything in the bar had seemed to stop, just to watch them. Everyone seemed to know that something was going to happen, something not good, but it would be quite a sight for sure.

"Hmph, humans. What petty annoyances." 'Vergil' said, his hand left hand holding Yamato's sheath, and his right hand on the hilt, ready to whip it out when needed. Cameo hoped this would prove to be useful for gaining the information he needed.

"You're friend obviously deserved the beating he got, but I accept. Come Father, let us settle this issue of payment." Cameo was quick to notice that little tidbit about Lucius, but could care less. Crazy humans, they seemed to be more than willing to get themselves killed now a days. In a quick flash of silver, Yamato was free from it's sheath. The people at the tables near the entrance murmered, a few having to duck or move out of the way to not be sliced by it as Cameo paid no heed to them.

Caprica emerged from the back alley door, bearing two odd-looking packages. They looked identical and could be identified only by long black handles. It was hard to tell if they were metal or wood. But that was all that could be seen, for the tops were covered with loose bags of the potato sack variety. He carried them for awhile but ended up leaning on them like a walking stick.

He needed somewhere to sit down. Where were those nice benches along the sidewalk that pretty well-cared-for cities had? He could not sit down on the ground. It was too far down. With is ribs like this he would never be able to get up without crying with pain.

He saw a group of people very quickly leaving a bar. That was... odd. Well a bar would be the idea l place to sit down. Stools were easy to get on and off of. But why were the people running away? His eyes widened. Could it be a demon attack? It was late enough in the afternoon he guessed and some demons didn't have a time preference. His hands clutched tighter around the shafts of his purchases. He was reluctant to use them so soon and in this condition they were the only way he could beat a demon. I'll just look inside, he told himself.

He shuffled up to the window carefully and peered into the dim interior of the bar. Well... there was a familiar blue coat...

Lucius didn't say anything in reply; instead he unclipped the whip at his hip, letting it uncoil on its own as he gripped the handle. He stood, facing off with Vergil Sparda, unmoving for what seemed like forever until a flurry of action spurred on as he flicked the whip toward Vergil to disarm him while grabbing the gun from his holster and firing off a shot.

Cameo grinned as Lucius unleashed his attack. Crouching low, Cameo then flipped backwards the whip just missing its legs. Kicking a chair nearest it towards Lucius, Cameo felt the bullet hit and pass through it's arm. Oh well, it wasn't anything to worry about. Not even flinching at the bullet wound Cameo looked at it, blood dripping out onto the blue fabric of Vergil's coat.

Cameo had a feeling that the real Vergil would have been a tad upset at having his nice coat bled on. It was a shame it couldn't replicate Vergil going into his devil form, that would be fun to do. He'd just have to teach this holy man a lesson like this then. Charging at Lucius, Cameo sliced through a table and some chairs as it went, then holding Yamato out as it was just about on Lucius.

Damnit! Vergil was going to kill Lucius if he didn't help. He was sure of that. Caprica was convinced he was just as skilled as the good father and look at what had happened to him. He pulled one of the cords loose on one of the potato sacks. Then the other. He whipped the cloth off of the weapons to reveal two full-sized scythes. They both bore sinister-looking black blades that were now red, now black, now red depending on how one looked at them. There were runes etched into the blades. Strange things shimmered across the surfaces of the blades, looking like water over highly polished obsidian.

Not reflections these, for they reflected nothing on this street, nothing in this world. Anxious faces, pained faces swam along the surface of the blades, crowding each other. The weapons gave off a droning noise like a sustained groan of pain. Caprica shuffled over to the door of the bar and held both scythes out to the sides ready to swing them. Wake up now. It is time to fight. The blades flared to life with a crimson glow, too deep a red to be fire. Suddenly they began to emit an ear-splitting chorus of shrieking. Voices of the damned and abandoned. All those to whom God did not extend His hand in salvation. All those He allowed to die at the hands of the demons.

The former priest suffered a momentary lapse of panic as it appeared his blessed bullets had no affect on the demon. Just what kind of demon is this? Lucius thought. Obviously, Vergil was extraordinary ... perhaps it was due to his half-breed nature that he wasn't affected by holy objects. This thought process delayed his reaction time, Lucius barely unsheathed his own katana in time to deflect the oncoming blow.

With Vergil so close, Lucius snaked his leg between the two and pushed the demon away from him. This opened up the playing field so that the former priest could maneuver into a better position and lunged forward.

Tiring of this useless fight already, Cameo wasn't sure if it should continue on in it's guise as Vergil. It wasn't learning much from it, except that Vergil was obviously good at pissing people off. Knocking Lucius' blade aside Cameo changed into the form of a tall man, long blood red hair pulled back into a low ponytail, wearing mostly black in the form of an overcoat and knee high boots, gloves: the works. Yamato shifted into three smaller blades that were used for throwing, all silver and with intricate designs on them. Jumping up onto the bar Cameo grinned evilly at Lucius it's attitude chaning almost imeadiately.

"I've enjoyed our short dance, but I'm not interested in you. I'm looking for the Sons of Sparda." Cameo liked it's apperance. It was one it had crafted from the looks of a few men it had killed years past. Looking down behind the bar it chucked one of the blades down and a small whimper could be heard. The bar tender was still there, hiding while the fight had been going on.

"Where does the man in blue live?" Cameo asked, it's wild expression getting more crazy as it fingered another blade in a threatening manner.

"In the slums, the bad part of town! Near the stripper place, you can't miss it! Bright neon lights and all man! Really!" the bar tender said, hoping to dear god that the crazy changing fellow wouldn't harm him. Cameo smirked triumphantly. About time it got something. Well neon light would be easy to find, or easier than not looking for anything.

Complete surprise appeared on Lucius' face followed quickly by anger as he bellowed, "What demon's work is this!?" A million questions whirled about in his skull at this new developement; Is that why it was immune to the bullets? How often does it change form? Is it killable? A more pressing issue floated to the surface, however. The bartender.

Lucius found his whip on the floor and grabbed it. He then launched the weapon at the demon's neck, letting the whip wrap around the thing's neck and pulled for all the former priest was worth. The goal was to pin the demon down and demand why it was after Vergil as well.

Hearing the whip before it got it, Cameo moved to get away but the whip got it's arm instead. With a force it didn't expect from some punny human, Cameo was yanked backwards, and it felt it's arm get pulled out of it's socket. Hmph, how bothersome. Slamming down onto the bar, landing mostly on it's back, Cameo wondered what the human thought it was going to gain from this little stunt.

The bartender feeling it was safe to escape now, quickly made his way out of the place, stopping only for a second to glance at Caprica. Then darting away, wondering what the hell that strange looking kid was doing out there, and with such odd weapons. He'd seen everything today.

He paid no heed to the bartender. He watched Vergil change into something else entirely right before his eyes. What the hell! That was not normal Vergil activity as far as he knew. Didn't Vergil become a big blue... thing? He decided he'd had enough and stalked slowly into the bar, the scythes seeming loud in the small space.

He glared at the shifty demon. Was it really Vergil? With the ability to change like that... it could be anyone. He'd have to be ever so careful. The blades wailed miserably in his hands.

[*clears throat* I'm a dunce and didn't think it was my turn ... and I'm gonna do a crap post, too. *wails* I'm sooooorrryyyyyyy gonk ]

The former preist pounced on the downed demon, shoving his forearm into the things neck and demanded, "Why are you after Vergil Sparda and his brother!"

Cameo grinned, not bothered in the least by this priest. Though it did seem a little interested in the human boy who walked into the bar just then, carrying some interesting weapons. Now those would be fun to play with. Turning his attention back to Lucius, Cameo just smiled.

"I have my orders human, that is all." and with that Cameo shifted into the other Sparda twin, Dante, and smirked. Hands moving to grab at the priest's rear it squeezed playfully, licking it lips.

"If you don't wanna get hurt, stay outta my way man." Cameo said in perfect mimic of the more out going twin. Then tired of this little game, Cameo used its favorite escape form... a kitten. It was a nice slap in the face for most when it got away as a little kitty cat. Scampering off the bar top and onto the floor, Cameo darted off between Caprica's legs and out the door, running out to find this place with many neon lights.

Lucius sprinted after the dashing feline, but once he reached the light of the outside world, the cat was gone or the demon had changed into another form. It could have been anyone strolling along the sidewalk. The former priest sighed, a little frustration rising in the sound before returning inside to collect his weapons and drop some money on the counter to pay for some of the damages inflicted on the bar. Turning to go back outside, he said to Caprica, "Come, my friend, we have much more work to do." A lot of work indeed, if they had to hunt down this strip club next to a building with neon lights. It was sure to be a needle in a haystack.

Caprica carefully replaced the sacks over the blades and the moaning and wailing was silenced. He dimly looked at the piece of paper in the good father's hand. He leaned on his scythes like a crutch, very happy that the priest didn't say anything about the dubious nature of his weapons. He abruptly turned and walked across the street. The place sounded familiar. Well it couldn't be any more wrong than if they just went to every strip joint in the city. At least he had an educated guess.

((Aaaaaand... VERGIL WAKES! XD))

Not sure, and not really caring how long he'd slept, Vergil moaned softly as he woke. Rubbing an eye as he rolled over, forgetting Dante had slept in his bed that night too, he ended up partly on his twin.

"Ehh... Dante..." he grumbled, rolling back to his side and sitting up. Running a hand through his hair, which was flopped down in his face, Vergil then glanced down at his sleeping twin. Granted he hated to admit things when it came to Dante but... he'd needed that last night. Not like he'd let Dante know that. Climbing out of bed, trying his best to let Dante sleep, Vergil padded over to his closet, grabbing his usual attire, vest and tight pants, from the hangers. Remembering he'd tossed his clothing on the floor the night before he found his beloved coat there in the pile, and frowned.

Well his coat had gone through worse, a little floor action wouldn't ruin it. Dusting it off he gathered his boots too and shuffled off to the bathroom to do his morning thing. After the typical, morning pee, brushing teeth, combing his hair back up, washing his face, etc... Vergil emerged dressed and ready for a new day. Of pure hell he was sure. Not hearing Dante up yet he decided it would be good to dispose of what was left of that woman's carcass from last night.

Heading outside he went to where he'd killed her last night, finding some of her remains there. It didn't surprise him that animals, and probably small demons, had eatting off the dead body. Less for him to deal with. Having brought a trash bag to help with the rest, he gathered up the big parts, which wasn't much, and then tossed them in the dumpster near Dante's favorite strip club, which of course was right down the street from them.

Shaking his head at the big neon lights of the club, which were on all day long, Vergil stopped as he went to turn back towards Devil May Cry. Something was near... a demon? Not some small fry either. A small gray kitten ran out from the alley next to the club and Vergil looked at it, an eyebrow raised. A cat? The kitten spotted him and looked spooked, then backed away a little.

"Hmph, at least you know better." Vergil said, guessing the animal could sense something odd about him. Ignoring the animal now, Vergil walked down the alley way the kitten had come from. He'd sensed something this way, but when the kitten had come around he'd lost it. Where was it... he knew something was around. Searching around for five or ten minutes he still couldn't find it. Maybe he'd imagined it. But it would bother him for a while now...

"Hey! Vergil!" he heard his brother's voice call from behind him. Turning around, Vergil felt that presence again. His hand yanked Yamato from it's sheath as he turned, and as his eyes found his twin, he felt Rebellion's huge blade sink into his stomach and out the back of him. A cry of surprised pain left his lips and he looked up at Dante, no... it wasn't his twin, though it looked like him. Damnit.

The twin look a like grinned at him and pushed Rebellion in further, till the hilt pressed against Vergil's stomach. Cameo felt very smug right now. Was it seriously that easy to kill one of the sons of Sparda?

"Heh, too easy." Cameo grinned at Vergil. Then ripping Rebellion from the blue twin Cameo kicked him in the chest, sending him onto the ground on his back.

"Well there's one part of my mission complete! See ya!" he kissed his hand and waved at Vergil.

Not staying down long, Vergil was quickly, and painfully getting up from the ground. That thing thought it could kill him that easily? Foolish. Crouching, he wrapped an arm around his mid section, it was already healing so his innards wouldn't spill out, but he was bleeding enough that he surely didn't feel good at all. Using Yamato as a crutch he pushed himself up, he needed to get back to Devil May Cry. That thing was obviously going after Dante now too.

Like hell it was.
