3: You come upon a puddle on the floor of the ruins. Do you see something in there? You may pick 1 trinket.

The section of the tunnel they were in seemed rather damp, and while Nicolae stood there with his companions, he noticed a puddle at his feet with something dirty sticking out of the mud. Pulling it out revealed a strange looking snake sculpture.

Aurora was still there with the other two grimms when another familiar came at her. "My goodness, what are you all so afraid of??" Perhaps soon the group would learn what was frightening the familiars. Could there be a statue that made a lot of sounds?? Maybe that was what was scaring all these familiars. Aurora had read about temples that had statues and other structures designed to make strange sounds to make the temple seem more mystical. Aurora wondered if there were enchantments in the ruin walls left there by the ancient nagas and nekos. It was a curious thought and could explain a lot.

Aedus must have gotten turned around somehow because he found himself back at that same carving. Aedus sat down to eat his lunch clearly his brain was addled if he couldn't find his way through these ruins. So he sat down to eat and drink, so he could use his brain properly. Clearly, his brain wasn't working quite right. He sighed and ate his lunch and then cleaned everything up. Even Aedus knew in a place like this you didn't leave trash in a place that should be respected. Aedus looked around he was glad he had faced what he had in the infected battle he might have missed out on this if he hadn't learned the Below was important too.

Aurora heard the whispering again she rubbed her arms it was spooky here. She looked at Anu and Su and said "These ruins are certainly strange. Thank you for patching me up." Then Aurora headed off since even though she wanted company she was still uncomfortable with being in what seemed like a pack. She didn't want to join a pack and wandering around the ruins in what felt like a pack no thanks. Her scraps had stopped bleeding and she would be fine. Aurora tried to find a spot that didn't have so many spooky sounds though she wasn't holding her breath.

Aedus felt something land on his back, he looked at saw a beautiful vespercat. "Hey there." He chucked and offered the vespercat a familiar treat he kept in his backpack. Aedus always kept treats with him. Maybe that was why so many familiars in this ruin had jumped him, they all wanted his snacks. He shook his head and headed off in his continued search for Nimah. She had to be around here somewhere right? Unless the spirits of the ruins snatched her for something. Aedus laughed sounded like something out of a cartoon. The thought was really funny everyone doing a crazy chase.

Percy was still frozen in place, unwilling to move at the coatl flared its tongue out at him, slowly slithering further up his shoulder, peering at Bismae with an interest. It was like he was part of the walls, or a piece of furniture. It was like to the coatl that Percy didn't even exist.

The neko's ears flicked as he heard the sounds of someone approaching from behind. It looked like the chaperones were making their rounds to check in on students. The chaperone surveyed the situation with a critical eye, their expression sharp with concern as Percy did his best to flash a charming smile.

Yes, all is well here, madame. Please be on your way ...

There were lots of coatls that students were claiming for themselves inside the ruins. That part was unlikely the part that concerned the chaperone, and far more likely that the freeze frame rigidness of Percy's body was what made them stop to think.

"Everything alright?" the chaperone asked with mild disbelief, as if curious for an explanation for the odd situation.

"Why, yes!" Percy chimed. "We found an injured vespercat, but Bismae is taking good care of them now. She's quite experienced with it. They must have clung on to my jacket at some point and sliced through the fabric and left a little scratch on my arm. Nothing that's particularly alarming or won't heal on its own."

The chaperone's brows raised high on their forehead. "I see. Well, that's good to hear. We've had some people ... erm ... less able bodied it seems complaining of injuries and falling in to holes, so we're going around and checking ... " the chaperone paused.

"Do you need help with that coatl?"

"Heaven's, no!" Percy laughed mirthfully. "This coatl belongs to Bismae. She was just playing a little game ... she knows I'm not overly fond of ... " Snakes. Percy paused then, eyes glancing back to Bismae,then slowly to the Naga chaperone.

A slow smile spread across his painted lips. "... coatls." He finished. "I trust Bismae, however. I know she'll reign them in, and if I just stay still ... " Percy's body tightened as the coatl let out a small hiss of sound. "... all will be well!"

"Alright then. If you're sure ... " The chaperone didn't seem fully convinced, shifting themselves to be taller on their tail. She would keep an eye on them, just incase. "Well, don't forget to eat your lunch." she commented, then turned to slither away.

"Oh." The chaperone paused part way down the hall and looked over their shoulder. "Same goes for you, Bismae." the chaperone gave a fanged smile before disappearing up the corridor.

Percy sighed with relief, shoulders sagging for a brief moment, only to tense up again as the coatl began to slither down his torso and along his hips.
"B-Bismae!"

Aurora was glad that soon after she had left Anu and Su, she ran into another chaperone. The chaperone healed Aurora scraps and she thanks them for their help. Then continued on to look for more familiars, before the group would be moving on to the next area. Aurora wondered what that area would be like. So many carvings and strange sounds and things to see, what could be next. Aurora looked around for someone she hadn't spoken to yet. She wanted to meet someone new that she might be able to connect with. She smiled and looked back at the group of familiars that followed her.
