Sohrab had a scared laugh with him as Sabih accepted the invite, as long as it wasn't a trick. Fatina had to pat him as there were asked if Nayu could come. "It's in a public place, so as long as he wears clothes at all times, he can come." He nodded as he then left, Fatina followed after 'her'.

They got ready, with Sohrab having his hair up in a ponytail, wearing human clothing. While Fatina had her outfit ready, shirt was pink. She wore wedge shoes, becoming only one inch shorter than 'Abira' as they went out. "How come you're wearing guy wear?" "I am more comfortable in them. In the human world, girls don't have to always wear dresses or skirts." He responded, with Fatina hesitantly nodding. They were going to meet with Sabih and Nayu. And normally, Sohrab would ask Dingi if he wanted to go, but the godkin needed rest. And Sohrab finally got rid of the bra so now he could be free in a way.

"I can't wait to see the fair! It seems so fun! And with Sabih and Nayu, it will be the best day ever!" Sohrab mumbled, know having a feeling this will be like the manga books he had read sometimes.

Sohrab and Fatina were staring at Nayu out of surprise, seeing him wearing black and with not so pale skin and dark hair. Sohrab had to get himself out of it as Nayu asked on where they were going. "State fair, comes on a few days a year. Supposed to be fun really. I only been there once."

"This might be my first human state fair. Is it like the market?" Sohrab had to mull it over. "Close...except you add a few rides in there." He then got the portal to go as they both exited through there.

Once to the human world, Sohrab had to lead all three of them to where the crowd was. In front of them soon after was the huge state fair with the many rides going on, and the joyful screams coming from them. Fatina was wide-eyed seeing the ride, which one could not blame her for. "That's it right there." He let her know that, confirming her shock.

They got to the booth and Sohrab had himself pay for the four of them; adults. He so assumed Fatina was an adult anyways since she was a dancer. Once getting in, the waft of fried food came through. "Well, who want's the splurge on the human invention of fried food?"

"What are the benefits of having fried food."

"There are no benefits, it just tastes very good." He then got out a map which was handed to each entering patron. "Ok, so there is a marketplace if you guys want to get anything, it ranges from jewelry, clothes, small decorations, whatever you can imagine. Then we got the food court, animal farm, and the rides."

"Animal farm?!" She exclaimed, showing a lot of excitement by jumping up and down like a child. Sohrab raised a brow at her as he let Sabih and Nayu look at the map. "Anything that interests you?"

Sohrab could see that Nayu was into Elephant ears so he decided they can get him the elephant ear. Fatina shrugged, mouthing that she wasn't hungry. Sohrab wasn't hungry either...he did just eat after all. "Let's get Nayu the elephant ear, then we can go and walk." He continued on to lead everyone to the food booth court.

In the meantime, someone very familiar to Sohrab would be walking along a group of friends. The friends showing off some of the finest things they have, and they would chuckle along. The guy sat there, his cheek leaning against the palm of his hand. He was listening to them somewhat as the group wanted to go to the state fair, known to have very good rides and shops.

As he sat there, something familiar caught his eyes. And it made him sit up and stare intently. The object moving in mind was a man, with long black hair held up in a ponytail. But the man was surrounded by three people; one with red hair, one with short black hair that held onto another with white hair. He thought it strange since Sohrab was a loner back then...until they met anyways.

"Excuse me guys." He spoke as he got up, ignoring the 'friend's questions on where he was going.

Sohrab was able to get to the booth that sold Elephant ears. He turned to Nayu who had mentioned that he'll pay Sohrab back. "Don't worry 'bout that. Save that money for whatever you like here." Fatina looked at the menu and was curious. "What's Pepsi?" "It's a type of drink, very fuzzy, but full of sugar and caffeine which will give you a short, temporary rush. Make sure to drink water afterward, it makes you dehydrated if drank too much." He went to his normal 'big brother' mode as he was used to being the adult wherever he went. He then tapped on Sabih, "Anything you want?" Sohrab was going through his wallet, realizing his cash was getting a little low. He frowned, but tried not to show it to everyone. "I have enough for-"

Suddenly he felt a hand on his shoulder which made him turn rapidly. Only because of experience with demons, he was on the edge. He wished it was demons now, being face to face with a familiar blonde boy with a lean, but strong structure. Sohrab had on an immediate glare, as his hands were turning to fists. "Were you assuming it was going to be someone else?" The blonde boy blinked, confused why Sohrab was acting that way, but inside, he predicted he knew why.

"No, but I wish it was." He growled which had Fatina come in. "Who...are you?" "Ah, sorry. Sohrab was a classmate of mine, thought I say hello." Fatina blinked...sohrab? She turned to who she thought was 'Abira' and blinked. Sohrab sighed and mouthed that he'll explain to her later. "I'm Josh by the way." He introduced himself, grinning at the three who he assumed was Sohrab's friends. "It's a pleasure to meet you!" Sohrab turned away, he was just angry now...so much for having fun. "I'll get the elephant ear Nayu." He walked off to go to the line. Josh rubbed his neck, seeing Sohrab leaving. He was hoping time would have healed the wound then.

Fatina looked at Nayu. "Mountain Dew? What's that?" She asked as Sohrab did not stray too far away from the group as he rather not have them deal with Josh......his ex.

He did see Josh raise an eyebrow as he heard Sabih who was speaking...maybe middle eastern? With that Sohrab had to pull Sabih away so he could tell him. "That's my ex." He spoke in Sabih's tongue so he would know. While Fatina can understand and speak human tongue so with Nayu, they can help Sabih understand in a way...if Sohrab had to leave for any reason. Sohrab did sigh seeing that Sabih still called him Abira...did that mean Sabih yet never realized he was a guy? Dense much?

Josh did feel Sohrab's aura and went to him, grabbing his arm to stop him. "Look, I get your mad. But give me a chance to explain."

"Oh, well then-" He let out a inhumane growl, the tattoo that was hidden underneath the jacket sleeve glowed slightly. "Do you have an explanation of why you left when I needed you?!" He tried hard to make sure his voice was low enough to be private, but even this conversation he can imagine made the three feel awkward. Josh did not release the grip, he did however sigh. "I know you're with your friends right now, but I was hoping to talk to you once you got out of jail. So please-" Sohrab got himself out of the grip and glared. "You did enough on that day." He then went to the booth as he was in line. "An Elephant Ear, Beer & Pretzel bites, A Mountain Dew, A Dr.Pepper, and a Pepsi." The arm that Josh used was still lifted up, he sighed. "Look, what do I need to do to get you to hear me out?" Josh seemed to be trying too hard to get someone who said to 'leave him alone'. Sohrab was getting annoyed as he came here to have fun with some people, not deal with the ex. "Don't you have a girlfriend or something to deal with?"

"Nah, but please give me a chance to explain." He was pretty adamant and it made Sohrab internally want to punch him. But if he just did what he asked, he'll leave so Sohrab could hang out with Fatina, Nayu, and Sabih. "Fine, but let me give the food to the guys before you talk." He grumbled which was enough for Josh. Sohrab turned, trying to ignore him as he got to everyone. "Hey guys, there's an empty table over there. The food will be coming soon." Fatina gave a raised eyebrow to the man who was behind 'Abira'. "You going to be ok? With that guy?" She spoke in a different tongue as Sohrab nodded. "It'll be fine. I'll handle it, and when he leaves us alone. We can continue. Anyway Nayu, I got you the Elephant ear and Mountain Dew. And for all of us, we can share the Beer & Pretzel bites. I also got you a Pepsi Fatina. And Sabih, we can both share Dr. Pepper..it's a carbonated drink that has 23 flavors, it's really good." He had a small smile on as he had everyone get to an empty table so they can sit. "Who is he?" Fatina kept asking to which Sohrab sighed. "He's Josh-" "No...I mean, who is he?"

Sohrab looked away slightly. He had to change the story slightly so they got it."I was around...fifteen or sixteen when I met him. He was the popular guy in the school while I kept to myself. I was a loner per say, we had just happened to meet because we were partners for a project. We didn't get along at first since we were too different-" And the same gender

"-but something happened to which we bonded. I never got close to anyone in my life, but of course it was the fact we were together his family was against it. I didn't fit their criteria, and they were rich people...like Dingi, big influences. But he didn't care about that, we excused it as 'old people' thing." But they hated the fact their son was gay

"But he couldn't handle the pressure from his parents, so the day I murdered my father and went to court, he left me to fend for myself alone. I never felt so betrayed until that day. It might be why I was so...guarded during my time there." He had a bitter chuckle when he mentioned it. "But the past is the past."

"I'm sorry...that must've been horrible."

"Don't worry, I'll just let him talk and we'll be able to go through this fair with no problem." He had a small smile although his eyes were sad, being reminded of the times he had with his ex.

Sohrab sat down with Fatina as both of them were eating. Sohrab sighed as he took a drink of the Dr. Pepper and gave the cup to Sabih so he could take a drink. It was like that for a bit, a silent but peaceful moment with the three. Although Nayu's words surprised Sohrab, he raised a brow as it sounded like it was Dingi going after a lover...they weren't lovers. So Sohrab did a short laugh. "We're just friends Nayu." He told him, as Sohrab did feel like it was the truth...Dingi and Sohrab were just friends.

But Nayu continued on, saying he was tempted to just go over and say he was claimed. That made Sohrab raise a brow, but this time it was higher. "I am not claimed." He urged harder, and now it was time to convince Sabih to not bring Dingi to the fray. "Dingi needs to rest, and besides, this is my problem...not his." He sipped on the Dr. Pepper as they continued on. With the food here, Sohrab had to stand up. "I'll let him talk, it won't be long...so enjoy the food for a bit." He did a small salute as he left. His mental state was slowly preparing to talk to this ex of his.

Fatina nibbled on the beer & pretzel bite as she saw 'Abira' leaving. She was slightly nerved, as Abira couldn't really defend herself against demons. Could she do it against a human? "I'm a little iffy leaving her alone, should we let Dingi know...but then again, he's recovering from the fight yesterday."

Sohrab had to be face to face with Josh who sat there, waiting for him. Sohrab got close and with hands in his pockets, he spoke "Josh, you need to go away."

"You're not even going to hear me out?"

"Oh no, I heard you. And I don't want to be in a relationship where we have to hide from people. I am tired of being some 'secret'." He crossed his arms. "And besides, your parents wouldn't approve. Hell, they were on your goddamn back on the fact you were friends with a 'muslim'!"

"I know, and I get it. But I am twenty-three now, they don't order me around anymore."

"Not what I have heard. They still influence you, and obviously since you want to keep the lifestyle." He narrowed his eyes. "So when you stop being ordered around like a goddamn robot, then we can consider 'maybe' being friends."

Josh stood up and grabbed his shoulder. "Just friends?!"

"Yes." Sohrab was standing his ground.

"Not even a consideration of dating?!"

"What you did those years ago, I am not risking that happening again. Now I know when something serious happens, you'll bail if it's too much. Now if you don't mind." He forced Josh to let go of him but the hand returned, and pulled him in to a tight hug. "Let go!" He tried to get out of the grip, but Josh's arms were pretty strong. "Please, just give me a chance."

"I said no!" He was now planning on stomping on Josh's feet and jab him with the elbow. And that was what he did. He stomped Josh's foot and and kneed his groin which had Josh let go out of pain. "And no means no! learn that!" He then left, with a huge huff. He did run to Nayu who had been watching them. Normally, he would ask Nayu why he was there, but he was too angry to ask. "Let's go." He left to get to Sabih and Fatina.

Sohrab raised a brow at Nayu who offered to boil the water in Josh's blood, killing him. "He's not a bad person, desperate? Maybe...but evil and insensitive? Hardly. He was...unfortunately, raised to always get what he wants. He'll learn." He then continued on to Sabih and Fatina, who was trying to see which pick-up line was the funniest to them:

Fatina raised a brow at Sabih as she felt a little weird hearing the pick-up lines. "I think just being subtle flirting and being considerate can do a good job."

"It depends on the person." Sohrab chimed in, with Nayu behind him. "Some girls like it, some girls don't. So it's a 50/50." Fatina then frowned at Sabih. "I don't want to be kidnapped." She and Sohrab gave a light glare to Sabih, since the both of them were technically kidnapped by the demons, and it was not pleasant. "Anyway, we ready to go? We can go check out the shops first." He asked, planning on having fun.
