In the midst of all this combat, you notice that the elevator readout over the doors has read 1 this entire ******** time.
You lever open the doors. There is the portal, a hole in the fabric of the universe leading into a dull, greyed-out elevator on the other side.
You have no way to get the weres to it.

Jeremiah glances up as the doors finally pry apart, hands falling away. He sees the number. The language that escapes- They will be telling stories about it for years because this is Jeremiah Mercer at his most creative. The words echo down the elevator shaft and he leans and slams his hand into the lift call button and pulls the radio off of his hip with another. "This is Detective Lieutenant Jeremiah Mercer! DO NOT CALL THE LIFT BACK DOWN FROM FLOOR TWO! We are trying to get the attackers contained!"It sounded so bloody ******** stupid but he didn't care, he just wanted- sh1brogane radio for the floor one! door let go of to close for elevator to come back

"Are you... BLOODY... Serious." Zac swore, staring into the gap where the elevator should have been. There was no pun intended. Shibrogane Letting the door go if its allowed so the doors can close for calling it

Trying to get the door open was killing his left arm. Shun strained to work with the others until they managed to get it open. What he saw was not the interior of an elevator car though. Instead, he saw the elevator shaft, with...
"What the ******** night was getting weirder by the moment. He looked at Jeremiah, as if asking if this was what he was trying to get at earlier. Judging Mercer's colorful reaction... Yes. That was his plan. That didn't explain how the hell he knew there was a ******** rift in the fabric of reality in here, though. Shaking his head to get past the initial surprise of seeing a portal of all things, he quickly realized that they had no easy way of accessing it, with the elevator car missing.
He whirled back around to face the remaining weres, not wanting to be caught from behind.

The world seemed to slow for a moment as the elevators were opened. A shimmery circle unlike anything she'd ever seen before sat inside and for a moment she really did believe in magic.
The world sped up again and she had to put her thousands of questions on the backburner. Right now it was do or do- no stopping.
"Do we move them?" she yelled, already pulling on the one they'd knocked out, trying to get it towards the elevator as was previously yelled.

To be fair, Jamie wasn't sure how Shiloh was supposed to take him out for icees if he was dead, but that was the last actual worry on his mind. He was hardly thinking about the logistics of it after all, not when the edge of pain to Shiloh's voice was so poignant and real, as if he'd been injured all over again. It felt like his heart was being crushed inside of his ribcage, pummeled with feelings he wasn't ready to deal with.
"B-But Shiloh..." he mumbled, wanting so badly to argue his point, to do something, but Shiloh shot down every thought in his head when he hugged him. Jamie didn't stand a chance. "I-I... Shiloh, I..." How could he promise something like that? How could he promise to sit back and watch as everyone else risked their lives? Jamie was scared, he didn't want to fight anymore, but it felt like betrayed those on their team who had shown him kindness despite his condition, despite the fact that he was an absolute stranger to the majority of them.
It was too hard to fight, though, not only the weres, but also Shiloh.
"Okay..." was all he could get out in actual response, one simple word torn and conflicted and confused. I'll be here, he said in his mind, though his mind wasn't much clearer, either.
When Shiloh was gone, Jamie felt cold and his fingers were numb with nervousness and worry and the pain that was still burning across his chest. There had to be something. There had to be something he could do to make a difference, anything that wasn't standing here like a useless lump. That's when he remembered. Lady.
As he pulled out his phone, his hands were shaking. The pain was just a bit worse than he thought.
TEXT TO LADY lady thins are get ting really bad here 3 weere It was so hard to type like this, with numb fingers and shaky hands. Jamie tried for a minute, but eventually gave up. They just didn't have time for this. Instead, he hit call.
"Please pick up, Lady..." he mumbled.-- Jamie is calling Lady.Jamie DelaxcroixHP: 14/20

NEW OBJECTIVE: SURVIVE You must survive one more round against the alpha before Lady Red intervenes on your behalf. Stackswere is restrained, though not cowed. She attempts to bite the nearest human, but cannot reach nor move, due to being hog-tied by Algie. No one is paying attention to the alpha were, allowing him to continue on his path of helldestruction. He delivers Falco a devastating blow, raking both handfuls of claws up Falco's back as if the teenager were a scratching post. Elevator were takes exception to America's attack on his... sister were wolverine? Whatever that is. He dives down, trying to pin her to the ground. Jamie gets a text back: hang onThe elevator is moving. It will arrive on the next round.

America's eyes widened as she was forced up by the were, not just because of the sudden, painful, reversal, but because she caught sight of the main rogue tearing through Falco. "NO! FAL-"
Slammed back into the floor, America tried to get the ******** off her, kneeing him in the groin.
They weren't supposed to lose anyone else!

The panic upstairs was heard well before it was seen, as Eve wasn't quite cut out to climb them even in her generally enhanced state. Each step was painful, like a static that flickered in and out as her toes pressed down, and she had to settle both feet on one before lifting her way up to the next. Once she was back on flat ground, however, it was possible to move with a little more confidence, and she made it onto the scene just in time to see one of her frenzied packmates tackling a girl to the ground.
"I'm here," she said, simply -- no need to ask what was happening, because what was happening was an utter mess.
