[Aconan makes the choice A.4]

Aconan had considered the idea that Awassi was being framed but only vaguely. As they spoke she frowned. Had they all been misled? Or was Erilyn trying to get out of it. As they mentioned age and experience, Aconan's frown turned into a scowl. She /hated/ being reminded that she was small and weak and needed protecting. And then her mouth dropped open as Awassi mentioned /drugging their moirail/. With a small yelp, Aconan spoke quietly - loud enough to be heard, but not loud enough to disrupt the conversation.

"That's terrible!"

She couldn't help herself. You- you didn't DRUG YOUR MOIRAIL. At least not without permission, she added after a second of thought - if Comedi had asked for help that would have been different, but to. To. No.

She growled under her breath, and that growl only increased in volume as Awassi kept speaking. Something was changing here, she could feel it - Aconan was proved right when Awassi vanished, and with the speed of an angry wriggler, Aconan leapt from her seat and ran towards the curtain, determined to find them and /punish them/.

Azrael chooses path A3

Azrael had watched Erilyn silently. He had hoped that they were not this bad, he hoped that they were just being framed for something. But, the words that came from the greenblood just indicated more and more how underhanded this troll was and finally when Erilyn had left through the curtains. The young blueblood felt a sense of panic as the gas started billowing out of the paintings. The entire thing had been a set up?? He felt a surge of what could only be anger towards the greenblood. There were trolls he cared about at this party and Eri-- no, Awassi could end up killing.
The first thing he had to do was try to stop the gas, he figured that maybe there was a button or a panel that would stop the gas. After that was stopped he would feel more comfortable chasing after the greenblood and bringing them to justice.

"come on, come on!"Azrael frantically ran his small hands over the walls in order to find the switch, blocking out the shouting and screaming that was going on in the background.

xxxxCentral Hivestem || Rumpus Block
"HOLY FLETCHIN DUGGERS!" Hazmas shouted in alarm as gas began to fill the room. Erilyn was the murderer, and more than that, they were trying to murder them! He looked over to the exit and saw that it was woefully crowded. At this rate, there was no way everyone was going to make it out in time, and if Awassi was smart, the other exits would probably be blocked as well. The only way out of this was to either head to the curtain Awassi used to escape through or get to the wall they touched before escaping. Escape and face off with a possibly armed and definitely dangerous Awassi or head to the wall and possibly stop the gas from killing everyone else, including those who were also armed and able to deal with the green-blooded dose of lusii fodder.

"You guys go!" he shouted at the crowd, pleased that so many were heading after Awassi, "I'm gonna try to stop the gas!"

Leaping off his chair, the young greenblood loosened his cravat and pulled it over his face. He'd had enough experience with his own gaseous experiments to know that you didn't jump into something like that without some sort of face muffling. With any luck, those heading after Awassi would find find whatever hole she'd slunk out of and open it up for the rest of them.

He wasn't the first to reach the wall though, a familiar blue blood was.

"Azrael! Cover your face! It'll slow your gas intake!" he called, his shout muffled by his cravat, and hooted at his lusus.

Giving a guttural howl, the white winged ape began pumping her wings, hoping to fan the poison away from her charge and his blue-blood acquaintance long enough for them to figure out whatever it was on the wall they were looking for.

Chiara Moteku
xxxxxRescuing?!
Chiara's eyes lite up. This troll was far more than she originally thought. How cunning and brave, to trick them all here, in this room, and kill them all at once. How efficient. Yelling was happening all around her, she could barely think what to do in all the craziness that was around her. It was almost surreal. It was Hazmas's yell, of all things, that brought her back. He was trying to fix the situation. How sweet. Chiara looked at all the chaos around her, adults and children running around everywhere. Well, Hazmas was a better troll to try and find the switch on the wall, she might as well try and help the rest of these losers out.

A1: Help Others Out

As the proceedings continued, it seemed that his evidence was of little help to the cooly-dressed greenblood. The trial didn't really go anywhere- everyone was being sassy to each other, and there were hardly any gasps of surprise. The truth was hidden from most everyone in the room, and Adamaz was no exception.

Then the host up and made a dramatic exit, and the room started hissing. Papa Roach squeaked in surprise. Adamaz tensed and calmed. Despite all the chaos that night, he had relaxed himself enough to be ready for more. His first thought turned to the others- people were running around, springing into action, and Tamiya was shouting herself into a frenzy. Whatever needed doing, was going to be done. What Adamaz needed to do was to keep people safe. His thoughts turned to the kids at the party: Psykgi, and her friend Leeroi, and a bunch of others he didn't recognize. And also Chiara... who he guess also should not be hurt. Not like this.

He calmly made his way to where most of them were gathered. "We uh. Hi. We should stay calm, and slow our breathing. We'll breathe less gas in that way." He started to go into his meditative focusing cycles, and got low to the ground.

He pulled out his paper bags. "Also, you can breath into these a bit if you get anxious."

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

“s**t.” Tigwyn was up as soon as Erilyn’s voice changed. He dropped his cigarette and stomped it into the ground – no use lighting up the room with a loose flame. When he looked back up, the room was in chaos. The other suspects had split. He shot a look to his left and right and clapped his hands together. “Nothin’ like Alternian homeworld politics. Y’all are goddamn nutty,” He mumbled, and quickly looked towards the remainder of the guests. Queen included. Many were scrambling towards the walls and curtain – a trainwreck if he’d ever seen one. At the very least he could remove some of the less physically adept trolls who were bound to be in serious danger. “Oi, over here!” He released a sharp whistle and suddenly a crackle of energy surged through the room.

Tables split in half and a chair smashed through the door into the nutritionblock. A sizzling hot red spear, still forking with psionic energy, dematerialized where Tigwyn had created a pathway. The orangeblood winced and rubbed his temples. He looked to and fro amongst the frenzy and found a surprisingly put-together little orangeblood trying to do his part.

“Hey scooter,” Tigwyn called. He paced towards the kids and gestured towards the busted up exit that he’d created. “You gonna lead these troops out of here? Y’all can head down that path if y’aint too busy feelin’ up the wall. Let’s go, kiddos.”

Eostre chooses path A.1]

Eostre wasn't terribly surprised by Erilyn's outburst at being fingered for the culprit. Regardless of guilt, they were involved in something. What was suprising was the cloudy fog that was filling the air. Eostre lifted the corner of her pink stole to her mouth and sniffnode to protect herself, and set about to finding her moirail and getting out as soon as possible.

Although she could see the exit, Erilyn probably wasn't an idiot and left it wide open to escape from. Instead, she went looking for Tierte, peering under the tables and at the exits to see where she went. "Tierte!" she called out, briefly uncovering her face, unable to locate the redblood. She was probably already out of the doors long before this happened... She could see Tamiya screaming at the curtain where Erilyn disappeared behind. It wasn't likely they were anywhere nearby still. She approached her gently, uncovering her mouth to urge her. "Tamiya, we better get out of here. Awassi's ******** already, and there's no point trying to chase them down," she said, furrowing her brows. Her eyes darted furtively around the room, wondering who else was going to bother with this instead of leaving.

[Psykgi chooses option A4]

Psykgi had enjoyed the show, and the accusations, and Leeroi's competence (it was nice when he got to show that off in public!). Ma'am was distracted with the situation and the crowd and the perfume (which messed an awful lot with her pheromone communication) and so couldn't stop her from staying and watching... Or, when things went sour, not running for the exit.

Instead of the logical option of getting the ******** out of there, Psykgi decided to try to pursue... and, honestly, why not? Obviously it wasn't Erilyn that had done it – Who would be so stupid as to commit muder in their own hive, at their own party, with hundreds of guests? Not Erilyn Awassi. Not any of the lowbloods either – gosh, if you wanted to kill a highblood, you do it away from other highbloods. That was just good sense.

No, someone wanted to send a message, someone who felt comfortable – even wanted – to do so at a party. That, according to Psykgi's understanding of trollian psychology, meant a highblood. Gerard was too obvious (but not ruled out) and the juggalo... well... They did whatever they did.

So, Psykgi decided to pursue the truth... or, rather, to see where it took her. Because if there was one secret passage in the mansion, gosh, there had to be more wouldn't there? And maybe the answer lay... there.

He was juuust starting to get focused when a whistle and crackling red energy split through the room. With a start, Adamaz noticed the split tables, the broken door, and looked up as one of the adults walked over to him, rubbing his temples. Had he? Did he?

Adamaz's lips curled over his underbite with glee. Two. He knew two psionic trolls!! Tigwyn, the others had called him during the debate. He would always remember that name. He would also remember the nickname: Scooter. Sounded perfect.

"Count on it, Mr. Ioyana. I got this." He turned to the troop of youngsters. "E'rrybody grab a buddy and let's get outta here!"

Adamaz grabbed Chiara's hand. He gave her a small, direct look, and led the way out.

      [+] Kursha Vidari

Selects: Path A2
Sleuthsparks: 10/10

Awassi's words only confirmed Kursha's thoughts. He had suspected from the start that someone had been trying to play them and he had been determined not to fall prey to their games. With so many over-lapping mysteries and pieces of evidence though, he had nearly become another unwitting pawn. Maybe in a way he had. He did put a tally under Awassi's name after all. That did not mean he believed it though.

Even if they may or may not have been trying to kill everyone.

As gas filled the room, Kursha jumped to his feet. For some, the booby trap only further damned Awassi, but he knew better. Any troll worth their salt had at least a few traps scattered around their hive. Especially one as high profile as the greenblood.

Kursha scanned the room. Several trolls had gone in pursuit of Awassi, while several more tackled the wall. A few, including Tigwyn, attempted to round up the others to help the escape. Kursha thought briefly to Lorata, Alifax, Elidae. Alifax could manage by himself well enough, but Lorata and Elidae... He made his decision in a tenth of a second. They would be fine. Plenty of other trolls had decided that now was finally the time to put their sniffnode to the grindstone and cooperate. He would get to the bottom of this in the meantime.

Springing in the direction he had last seen Schrad, Kursha barrelled past the kids still scrambling around for their bearings, and tore out of the rumpus block.

Elidae chooses A.1] Help other trolls out
10 ✦sleuthsparks✦

Within the chaos, Elidae stood motionless, caught in a stupor of slow motion. Awassi's words left a bitter taste in her mouth, and now after they disappeared... all the trolls, running, screaming... Looking down, she noticed the strange, opaque fog forming around her ankles. "Oh... my..." Sponge clots suddenly ringing, she clamped her hands over, eyes widening at the sudden high-pitched noise. Gasping, she watched as a piercing bright energy of red flashed before her eyes. Following the origin, her gaze focused in on none other than Tigwyn Ioyana, the orangeblood she originally approached first the entire night, when the night was only flowers and smiles. She was breathless, in awe. "Tigwyn...!"

Something in her clicked, a sudden emotion of sense and purpose. A grin spread on her face as she looked to him. Though many trolls decided to high-tail it out of there, Elidae firmly decided to sacrifice whatever energy she had left to guide others in chaos out of the room. Every single life was valuable. They would all make it out. Standing straight on her feet, the yellowblood breathed slowly to calm her own nerves, before climbing up onto a chair. She wobbled for a moment, eyes wide and she stood a bit hesitant. Yet...

"We gotta go..." Elidae started quietly, then grew more urgent and had an unusual tone of command. "C'mon, we gotta go! Exits this way!" Elidae shouted, pointing down the clear path made by Tigwyn's psionic energy and began to gesture to all the trolls around her, whether child or not. Pausing, she scanned the room for notable ones- Lorata, Kursha, Hemera, Leeroi, anyone else she felt a kinship with. Within the panicking crowd, it was difficult to find anyone. A sudden flash of western caught her eye.

"Kur-!" He was gone. She stared after him running through the exit, the ghost of a frown forming on her lips. A heavy exhale through her nose. He had his own business to attend to.

Sarcel watched cautiously as each troll went up, striking down a tally one after another. Erilyn, Erilyn, Erilyn... Sarce wasn't... someone who was especially optimistic. She wouldn't go out so far as to say that she believed in the greenblood, no. But the fact remained that while they were an Alternian criminal, there... there just wasn't any substantial proof when it came to the murder. She couldn't vote. Not enough was adding up, even though the fact remained they were running out of time.

Not that it mattered, because majority seemed to have come to a conclusion anyway. Sarcel watched Awassi rise, give her spiel. Her eye twitched at the mention of the sedatives. Was that... was that ethical? A small part of her realized that it was really very practical, but that was... wrong wasn't it? Entirely wrong? Her mind flashed back to images of Sir, barking out orders, raising his disgusting scarred hands; would she have eventually caved to similar methods? Not that they were anything. The more she thought about it, the more she started to doubt that they were even comrades. Despite how hard she tried, how much effort she put into trying her best, it was never good enough for him. It pushed her. It still hurt.

There was something uncomfortable welling in her chest at this unsightly realization. Thankfully, there wasn't enough time to dwell on it. Not so thankfully, it was because Erilyn decided to spill toxic fumes into the room. Lovely.

Sarcel grabbed her mask with lightning quick reflexes, popping the wings off of the object before snapping them to her boots. Ordinary fashion garments one second, pressurized shock distributes the next. She came into possession of the objects shortly after the incident in the swamp. It was a lesson in being prepared.

Practically lunging out of her seat, Sarcel soared over some of the furnishings that had already been knocked astray. It was pandemonium to say the least, but Sarcel only had familiar faces on her mind. A quick survey of the area offered little insight; she didn't see Alifax, and she only caught a glimpse of Tamiya thanks to her excessive garb, and by proxy Eostre next to her. Around her, kids and adults alike were scrambling for the exit while others charged towards the wall. She opened her mouth to bark out an order, but stopped herself.

Hell, it wasn't her problem, right?

Even though she felt did feel partially responsible. Whether she found the children obnoxious or not, they were all on the same side, and every mission was a team effort. She gritted her teeth; but there wasn't enough time!

Augh, ******** it! She had to go. Everyone had to go! "Come on come ON!" She hollered above the chaos, trying to hastily wave others towards the door as she bolted there herself. Her feet were fast and light, speed unmatched, that much she was confident of.

"W-Whoa!" she came to an abrupt halt, nearly tripping over herself as she narrowly dodged around a tiny yellowblood, instantly recognizing her from before. She felt something lift with relief; she might not have had any personal connections to the child, not like she did with Alifax or Tamiya or Eostre, but it was good seeing her alive, breathing, kicking.

"I-It's you!" her tone was incredulous, but assured "I-It'll be okay! S-Stick with me."

In the heat of the moment, Sarcel had forgotten a lot of her fear. It was replaced by pure adrenaline alone, and as the blueblood reached into her jacket pocket she produced a long silver knife that she had snagged from the nutrition block. It wasn't the only one she had, and it was certainly one of the smallest. It was merely a safety precaution. Insurance. She placed it in the yellowblood's hand while reaching for her other.

"Still k-kicking? B-Be on guard!" turning over her shoulder, she gave another uncharacteristically loud LET'S GO!

Stumbling as well, Elidae narrowly fell off the chair she was standing on when a very familiar blueblood appeared out of nowhere. Earlier, she had noticed her for her sharp sense of style and unusually timorous demeanor, but now she was fierce and commanding, a remarkable strength emanating from her.

"It's me?!" She questioned in return, eyebrows raised in surprise at the recognition, a flutter in her chest. She... remembered her? Suddenly, there was something placed in her hand. Staring down at the long, shining knife, there was a flash of query and confusion, however it all disintegrated immediately with all other dubious thoughts when she came to the immediate conclusion that this was so useful. Thank gog for this miraculous meeting. Twirling the knife in her fingers, she gave the blueblood an assured grin.

"Right!" Elidae clasped her hand into the blueblood's, ready to run with her to the exit. While in any other circumstance, she would have desired for a proper introduction, but due to the nature of the current state of events... Elidae decided to postpone exchanging names. No time now.

Somehow, someway, she trusted this stranger wholeheartedly.

A.4] Regina joins in the hunt!
10 ✦sleuthsparks✦

Regina had, in her personal opinion, done a damn good job of staying out of things. She had only stepped in and put a hand down when the circus had threatened to start erecting tents. For the rest of the party she had been modest, quiet, and unobtrusive to the best of her abilities. This event hadn't been for her, it had been for her guests, and whatever happened she had been determined to keep it that way. Now though, things had changed. As Awassi had begun their slow pace and speech, the empress had watched with narrowing eyes. As the greenblood had passed by her own seat, her hand had rested briefly on her sabre, ready for a sudden swing. But no, they had passed around quietly enough only to swing at the entire room and vanish. The other shoe had dropped - and the queen was out of her chair, over the table, and through the curtain after the greenblood without a single glance at the rest of the room.

Chiara gave Adamaz a look. Of course he was helping others. That was just so like him. The real question was what was she doing. Chiara threw some debris in a pile with more broken things. It was best to keep the junk away from trolls' clumsy feet. As she was moving stuff to make the path more maneuverable Adamaz of all trolls grabbed her hand. Chiara raised an eyebrow at him. "Okay, ill help you out, old partner." She would have liked to give him a sarcastic smile, but there were things to do.
