Goliath watched as some of the others attacked the large Darmanitan. Goli knew that he didn't have the height nor the weight to really do much to the hulking beast. It could and probably would pick him up and toss him, and he didn't want to become a flying type. He stayed back waiting for the Darmanitan to makes it's move.

The darmanitan reacted much quicker than one might expect. Sitting up, he grabbed the leafeon in one gigantic paw and held him up in the air by the scruff of his neck as the stars collided into his side. He opened his mouth, revealing rows of teeth, and... spoke very calmly. "Dudes, why are you, like, beating me up?"

Rei tensed when The Darmanitan grabbed the Leafeon, preparing for however the large pokemon might retaliate. But he was not expecting it to respond so calmly. He blinked for a moment, mentally shifted gears, then stepped forward.
"Pardon us, we mean you no harm," he said, giving a polite nod. "Though it seems a couple of our group acted rashly," he nodded towards the suspended Leafeon, "when you did not respond to us at first. But perhaps you did not hear what we'd said, so I will repeat it:"
"We are a group of pokemon seeking to pass through the mountains on the way to Shaymin's Sanctum, and this path seems to be the way through. But you were blocking the path, so we request that you move aside. If you like, there is an area not far behind is that is more comfortable than this, where we all slept for the night. Perhaps you could move to there instead."

Jax growled lowly. "Because you giant ape, when we spoke to you calmly and tried to get your attention, you did nothing. We need you to move so we can keep following the path." She said, rather irritatedly. "We are on our way to find Shaymin's Sanctuary. Do you know where that is? We are somewhat lost." She asked, a bit more kindly.

Caliban wriggled and twisted in the Darmanitan's grip. "If you didn't want a fight, you could've moved out of the way!" he yelped. "Now put me down!" All he'd wanted was to find a safe home for his family, the Leafeon seethed. Why was everything so intent on stopping him?

Still holding Caliban, the darmanitan looked lazily from Rei to Jax, blinking once. "Dudes... you need to just, like, relax, man. Like me. I was goin' to this Shaymin's Sanctum I heard about, but I found these really interesting mushrooms, and now... everything's just great, man." The darmanitan gave a relaxed sigh; it was becoming abundantly clear that he wasn't listening to a single word being thrown at him.

Having given up on squirming free for the moment, Caliban dangled dejectedly. He narrowed his eyes at the mention of mushrooms. "If you'll put me down and let us pass," he said testily, "you can have one of these mushrooms I found in the cave." The Leafeon gestured with a jerk of his head to the fungi stuck to his shoulder. He hated being reduced to bargaining, but it seemed there would be no fighting the Darmanitan.

Jax eyed the wigged out Pokemon warily. "What the heck is he on?" She mutters to herself. "Thank Arceus we chose not to use the mushrooms as part of the general food supply." She says thoughtfully.

Chi headbutted Rei's side. 'Did you hear that? He was going to Shaymin's place.'
The pink growlithe cleared her throat. 'Sir,' she barked, 'could you tell us the way there? We're all attempting to go there too, but we lost our guide. We would all be grateful if you could let us know where it is.'

"He's stoned," said Marmalade in a high, complaining voice. "We'll never get past him! I suppose I should be grateful he isn't setting us on fire for attacking him, but what terrible luck!"
"I could still tunnel under him," Pangolin reminded her.
"Yes that is an option, but I'd rather not get any dirtier than I am if I can help it." She puffed up her ears fussily. "Thank you, though."
"That's no problem," hissed Pangolin, and he almost blushed.

((I be here, lifes sorta eaten me partially))
The Cottonee and Skitty looked over the Darmanitan and saw that maybe he wasn't as bad as what they first thought but without a guide they were a little lost so maybe asking this guy may be best, heck, the two also wondered if he may be our guide at least part of the way there "perhaps, if you are not busy, would you mind being our guide part of the way there? It would help us in not getting lost further, that ism, if you are not too upset with us attacking you like we did which we are terribly sorry about" the Skitty said, thinking that this guy seemed kind enough, attacking him may not have been the smartest thing to do.

The darmanitan seemed to finally notice the glowing mushrooms on the leafeon and shrugged. "Alright, man." He set Caliban on the ground before shifting and sitting up, allowing the pokemon to pass. "Dunno why you want to go to shaymin's sanctum, though. You dudes should stay here, and watch the stars with me. They're magical."It was still morning; there were no stars.

The Darmanitan didn't seem inclined to go anywhere, but at least it moved aside. It would have been helpful if the big pokemon could lead the group t the sanctum, but this was at least progress. "Thank you for moving, we really appreciate it," Rei said. Then he turned to Chi and said in a low voice, "Let's move on before he changes his mind and lays down again." He hurried on past, eager to keep going, even if he didn't know exactly how to get to their destination.

Domo had taken everything in stride after their bit of frenzied food gathering. Squinting at the Darmanitan, he carefully herded his companions around it once it moved out of the way.
"He was a weird one, da," he murmured. Hopefully they were getting close. The Gengar was growing tired of all this tomfoolery.

Caliban shook himself vigorously once the Darmanitan set him down. He stretched his shoulders. Dangling like that, he'd felt awful, helpless. He was tempted to start a real fight now and get back at the big lug. But the Leafeon plucked a mushroom from his shoulder and dropped it into the bigger Pokémon's hand, as promised. Then, with a scowl, he hurried past.
