The Viridian Forest was very familiar to her and most of the Pokemon at her side. She already knew that she forgot the reason why she went out in the first place but it was somehow overplaced with the thirst to catch more Pokemon. This place was literally crawling with Pokemon so finding was going to be much easier than repeatedly finding Pidgeys in the previous city. So for now, everyone was relaxing as they made it to the entrance of the forest. It was much darker within this location than being in the sun. ”Careful everyone, let’s not get seperated.” Misa couldn’t hold onto every Pokemon but she sure could keep an eye on everyone. Dewgong was going to be the easiest to find as it was a pure white creature that had a sort of glow to it. Pikachu was easy since this was the place it originally came from, plus it was yellow and could conduct electricity if it got lost.

Making sure not to step on any Pokemon’s tail and even more so not to get lost, everyone kept close to each other. Dewgong lagged behind a bit, Pikachu was walking in the front with Ivysaur, Growlithe walked at her heal, Butterfree and Pidgey flew overhead. They all appeared to be protective of the human girl. ’I just hope they don’t overdo it. I don’t want them to scare away any potential partners.’ It wouldn’t be great if everyone’s demeanor scared off the other Pokemon. That just wouldn’t do right now.

And there it was! It was a green-like creature that Misa recognized almost instantaneously! ”It’s a Metapod! Alright Growlithe, let’s begin!” Growlithe gave a bark and commenced the battle! Growlithe was clearly stronger than the Lv. 4 Metapod so it was allowed to go first. ”Use Ember.” The puppy Pokemon sent out sparks of embers towards the bug Pokemon. It struggled as it tried to knock off the attack. However, Growlithe wasn’t going anywhere as it continued its onslaught. The Metapod could only take so much before it fainted right in front of the two. ”Pokeball go!” Misa threw the ball at the fainted Pokemon. It wiggled for a little bit before giving a satisfying ‘boop’. ”That is one down and many more to go.”

The battle was over too soon but at least Growlithe appeared to be happy with the results. It was already beginning to warm up with everyone so it seemed sleeping all in one tent did the trick. Actually sleeping together felt a lot better than just sleeping by one’s lonesome. Maybe Growlithe just needed that bond to understand that everyone in this group was going to lookout for each other. Growlithe was still a puppy overall and that mean that it had much to learn. Many of Misa’s Pokemon had come a long way in her travels. All of them had grown strong together and overcame hardships. So of course she would extend that helping hand over to a Pokemon that her parents entrusted her to.

Metapod’s ball disappeared from her sights and most likely was sent to the PC in the Pokemon Center. Perhaps other Pokemon would enjoy the company of the Pokemon who didn’t make it on her list. But it was also interesting to think about what it was like in a PC. The Pokemon were sent there but did that mean they were alive in cyberspace or was it just an electronic storage? In the meantime they were still on to find other Pokemon within the forest. That way they would be able to add more data to the Pokedex just as she promised the Professor. As much as she was on a quest to be the best Breeder possible she also wanted to keep her promises. With the pack moving on again the human kept her eyes peeled for any creatures.

Their next opponent came much more quickly than she anticipated. It was another Bug type but it was a very common one in these forests. A weedle popped up and a Lv. 4 too. Misa had to consider the Pokemon that wasn’t getting a lot of love from her, the one that wasn’t getting in on much of the action. That Pokemon would be Dewgong. ”Alright Dewgong, you’re up next.” It's eye’s sparkled as it went over to give the girl’s leg an affectionate nudge. ”You are a part of this team Dewgong and that means we won’t forget about you.” With those words a one-sided battle began. ”Dewgong, end the battle with Icy Wind.” The creature took in a gulp of air and released it upon the small bug Pokemon. Bunches of ice were forming over its body while its eye’s turned into the letter ‘X’ to display that it was defeated. ”And Pokeball go!” Misa tossed the ball at the creature’s pointed head. It went inside and clicked instantly within a second. ”And that makes another addition to the Pokedex.”

Misa knelt down by Dewgong’s side to see if the creature had been hurt at all. Even though it was a one-sided battle she wanted to make absolutely sure that they were all fine. Misa knew all too well that there were plenty of Pokemon within this forest that could poison their Pokemon. ’Weedle doesn’t have the Poison Point ability but nothing like making sure.’ Dewgong appeared humorous as Misa patted over its body to check for whatever the human was looking for. ”I don’t see anything wrong with you. Do you feel alright?” Dewgong gave a nod of its head while also showing a smile. ”Alright then, we shall carry on.”

Once again, when Misa picked up Weedle’s ball it disappeared in a ball of light. As before, Misa believed that it was transported to the PC since there was no other storage unit around. ’We still have quite a bit to go when we want to fill in the Pokedex.’ The child took out the device and began looking through the various information. There were plenty of Pokemon she had yet to encounter or even catch. ’I should have caught these rare Pokemon when I had the chance. Now I might never have the chance to catch it.’ Misa looked through the map function to see what other Pokemon may be around the area. She had to know if she had run into all of the Pokemon available here or if she should continue on exploring.

At least the Weedle was a bit stronger but it was still much of a challenge for the Pokemon. Maybe if they went back to Pewter City they may be able to find stronger Pokemon but Misa didn’t want to deal with more Pidgey. The only Pidgey she was caring for was the Gentle one by her side. The other Pidgeys were far too common for their own good. It made finding a specific Pokemon more difficult. But looking back at the Pokedex the only Pokemon they were missing were Caterpie, Kakuna, Beedrill and Pidgeotto. ’A lot of these Pokemon I can evolve but the Caterpie is a Pokemon I’d need to breed. I guess I should find Ditto but that is such a rare Pokemon.’ For now, there wasn’t much to gain here so she decided to retract back to Viridian City.

Returning to the forest didn’t hold much for her. If anything there may be Pokemon in the forest that she could catch or just battle for her Pokemon to gain experience. Ivysaur and Pikachu needed some extra battling for the big battle ahead. But for the moment the forest was quiet. It may have to do with all of the battling her team was responsible for performing. ’Well, it may make it easier to get through the forest then.’ There wasn’t much to do in the forest.

Their next opponent was familiar but none that she wanted an addition to the team. It was a very familiar yellow Pokemon with red cheeks. In fact, that same Pokemon was eager to take on other Pokemon. It was just a Lv. 6 Pokemon and it was sincerely a Pokemon that Ivysaur could handle. It needed the extra battling for the Water-type Gym Leader. ”Ivysaur, let’s do it.” The familiar sight of her first Pokemon popped out of its ball faced the Pikachu. Well, it was probably time to move on from this place. The Pokemon that could be acquired from this location could be bred, evolved, or found in another location. There was no reason why they needed to stay. Returning the sassy Ivysaur back into its ball, well she did once she made absolute sure that the creature was healed. Once that was done Misa checked her Pokeballs, her bag before leaving the area. It was time to take on Pewter City on again. Perhaps the Pidgey in that area would have left by now.
