Upon hearing light footsteps followed by a sweet voice, the male opened his eyes and let a small smile splay on his lips. He stood up and closed the medicine cabinet before looking at himself in the mirror, pushing a hand through his hair to make it look a little less messy. After that he brushed his teeth quickly. He applied some deodorant to his pits and gave himself a once over, smirking at his appearance. He looked good for a guy with a hangover. And with a cocky flex of his pecs, Nick walked back out of the washroom flipping the switch on the way out. He wasn't usually one to make himself look decent in the morning, but this was Kate he would be confronting and she always looked incredible in the morning. If it were anyone else he wouldn't give two shits.
Kate was standing in the kitchen with Oscar in her arms, leaning back lazily against the counter with her eyes closed. The small puppy sucked hungrily at her pinky. "Good morning," the man said abruptly with a tired smile, doing a little bit of an arm stretch as he walked over to the fridge. Retrieving the Sunny D from the top shelf of the fridge, Nick placed it on the counter and took two glasses out of the cupboard before filling them up to just below the rim with the yellow juice. "I apologize if I gave you a rough time last night..." He rubbed the back of his neck nervously, giving her an apologetic look.

He was standing in front of her,looking like a hot mess and he was only wearing boxers."Good morning." She had a tired smile upon her face,Kate dipped her pinky again then gave it to Oscar who was still hungry.She petted Oscar with her thumb gently then looked back at Nick who apologized. "Don't worry.."She shrugged her shoulders,Kate actually knew that something like this would happen. She also knew that Nick forgot about everything and probably had no idea that he kissed her before he kissed Frankie. "So you don't remember what happened last night?" She asked,raising an eyebrow as she smirked."Not even the part where you kissed a guy and grabbed his a**?" To tell the truth,Kate was in the mood to make fun of him. He was honestly relieved when Kate brushed it off so easily. Clearly he didn't do anything too stupid - with her, at least. With a soft smile Nick lifted his glass to his lips and shook his head gently when Kate asked him what happened last night. He mentally prepared himself for the worst. Taking a small sip of his juice, Nick leaned sideways against the counter a bit and when he heard what she said next, did a full out spit take all over the kitchen floor. It even sprayed out his nose which burned like hell. He knew she wasn't lying to him. "Please tell me I didn't kiss Frankie.." Nick looked at her with wide and panicked eyes, wiping the juice off his chin with his forearm. "Anyone but Frankie..." he spoke slowly, afraid of the answer. "That's it, I need a hug. I need to feel a woman's embrace right now." And without hesitation, Nick took Oscar from her grasp and set him on the counter briefly before taking the blonde into his arms and resting his chin on her shoulder. He smiled, suddenly feeling so much better. Nick slid his hands down to her bum...

Kate moved a few steps away from him and laughed."No...You didn't kiss Frankie,you were all over him!" Then Kate laughed even mroe,enjoying the moment that she could make fun of him."I saw tongues and a** grabbing,you two looked very excited. Especially you."Kate tried her best to stop herself from laughing but it was too funny,at least for her."Oh,no,no,no." She tried to move away so he won't hug her but in the end Nick took Oscar from her grasp and wrapped his arms around Kate."You prefered him over me." She said as she patted his back a few times then wrapped her arms around him,hugging him gently.Kate actually enjoyed the hug until Nick slid his hands down to her bum,her yes widened."Nick? The fact that he apparently enjoyed it more than Frankie made him feel the need to puke. "I'm sorry, were you jealous?" He teased, smirking as he lightly massaged her bum. Kate asked him what he was doing before she let go of him completely. He kept his arms around her and rested the side of his face against her shoulder, closing his eyes. "Shh.. I'm just coppin' a feel is all..." Nick gave her bum a gentle squeeze before he took her arms and wrapped them around his neck once more. He may not have remembered anything after the beer pong match, but he sure as hell remembered the way they danced. Nick began to sway them side to side as if to soothe her, his smirk growing on his lips the more he thought about the dance. "I don't understand your logic, Kate. You let me put my hands all over thighs but when it comes to your a**," Nick slid his hands over her bum once more, "you get all nervous and jittery."

But it bothered her a little that Nick could kiss someone else so easily,without even thinking about Kate."Just coppin' a feeel huh?" A slight frown appeared upon her face,how could he touched her like that without even thinking about her? What if Kate didn't want Nick to touch her a**? Even though she said that she likes him,he could still annoy her. Kate rolled her eyes when Nick took her arms and wrapped them around his neck,he swayed Kate side to side but she just stared up at him with a frown.Kate jumped slightly when he slid his hands over to her bum again,she clenched her hands into fists and sighed."You can't just touch me like that,why can't you understand it?" Kate was getting confused and angry, yesterday Nick was being sweet to her and even said that he likes her back but now he was acting the same. Sure,Kate knew that he won't remember it but she still remembers what happened yesterday."I'm sorry I have to go." She let go of him and took his arms off her before she walked out of the kitchen to Nick's room. Kate sat down on the bed and wore her high-heels,grabbed her bag and headed to the door. Nick was as bewildered as Kate was. Why was she suddenly so defensive and snappy with him? His gaze shifted between her eyes, blue eyes squinted slightly in confusion. "Okay..." Clearly, she did not want him touching him at all so he let go and walked back to the counter, just as she said she had to go. "F*ckin' prude..." he said under his breath, fetching a hand towel to wipe up the mess on the floor. He didn't bother paying her another glance, not even when she began to march out of his apartment. Nick crouched and wiped up the juice before hitting it with Lysol wipes to get rid of the stickiness. Tossing everything into the garbage can, Nick looked around for something to do. He was going to make them breakfast but Kate was just all too eager to leave. He tensed and untensed his jaw, thinking. Did the drunken Nick say something to her last night? The truth, perhaps? He did like Kate a lot, though there was a part of him that didn't want her to like him back because he knew for a fact that she could do so much better. She wouldn't just settle for a guy like him, would she? All these thoughts spun round and round in his head and it was honestly worsening his headache. Nicholas rubbed his face tiredly, leaning back against the counter.

The first thing she did was bath herself,after the shower she wore a hoodie that was big on her. Kate turned on the music before she started to cook a quick breakfast for her,it was still early so she decided to clean the house and watch a movie. In the afternoon,she decided to meet up with Frankie,they decided they will meet up in a cafe and talk about everything. Kate got dressed then exited from her apartment.For a moment there,Kate glanced over at Nick's door but then she decided to walk. She shouldn't talk to him today,she was just too confused.This time she decided to walk by herself,she left the car in the parking lot and walked in the streets for fifteen minutes. Frankie was already sitting there,waiting for her quietly."Frankie!" Kate called as she walked over to their table and sat down."I'm so happy to see you,I need some advice! My head is confused and I don't know what to do." Kate let out a big sigh and rested her head on the table."It's about your sexy boss,am I right?" Frankie asked as he placed his hands under his chin,looking at her with amused smirk."Yes Frankie..I think I fell in love with him.."Kate placed her elbows on the table and covered her face with her hands.♥ ¸.•´ `•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´ `•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´

After a short while, Nick decided to call up Ryan and meet him at the cafe down the street for some early morning coffee. Wearing a pair of sweatpants, a tight blue sleeveless top, black vans and a black backwards baseball cap, Nick grabbed his wallet and keys and made his way out the door. By the time he reached the cafe, Ryan was waiting outside with a smoke hanging lazily out of his mouth. Nicholas nodded toward him, fishing his lighter and smoke pack out of his pocket. "Anything interesting happen with Kate last night?" Ryan waggled his eyebrows and Nick shook his head, the two now standing just outside the window of Frankie and Kate's booth. He lifted the lighter up to the cigarette and flicked, the small orange flame disappearing as quickly as it appeared. Nick groaned lowly, he had to refill it. He tucked it back into his pants. "Let me use your lighter," he said. Ryan nodded his head a little, slowly exhaling the smoke as he handed Nick the small lighter. It was plain and silver, nothing flashy. "Thanks," he mumbled. Once the cigarette was lit up, the man took a long drag and tipped his head back, exhaling the thick smoke slowly. "You gotta ask her out," Ryan pressed. Nicholas rolled his eyes at his comment, annoyed. He didn't want to talk about Kate after what happened this morning. "And you gotta stop being so damn nosey..."

He already noticed yesterday how she always checked him out,Frankie had to do something so Kate and Nick would be together."You're going to tell him that today." Frankie said with a big grin on his face,Kate placed her hands on the table and looked at Frankie with shocked expression."Are you crazy? No way! I mean...Why would he agree to be with me?! He's just teasing me and we always get angry at each other.." Kate explained,lowering her head again."I don't know what to do..He's just so perfect. Frankie, I really love him." Kate whispered softly,laying her head on the table.Frankie placed his hand on Kate's hair and sighed softly."You're going to be alright,you should at least try.." Frankie tried to suppor her but Kate shook her head to the sides."No..I should give him, he was already married! And I suck at love,there's no way he would be with someone like me."Frankie just tried to cheer her up,knowing that she was just scared of rejection. When Frankie looked out of the window,he could see Nick! Nick was standing outside with Ryan,smoking."Sexy beast is here." Frankie said as Kate sat up immediately."What?" It took her a few moments before she saw Nick,it was really him! What was he doing there? "Hide me!" "Listen man, all I'm saying is that you're hot, she's hot, you two would be perfect together. Plus I see the way she looks at you," added Ryan with a wink. Nicholas shook his head yet again, blowing the smoke out his nostrils. "And I also see the way you look at her. It's priceless. The moment she walks into the bar in the mornings, your entire face lights up. I notice these things." He tapped his head lightly. Nick flicked away the ash with his ring finger, causally sticking his free hand into his pocket. He looked toward Ryan, bright blue eyes squinted slightly because of the sunlight. "I do too... but she can't have feelings for me. A girl like her.." Nick shook his head a bit, taking another short drag. "She can do so much better. So much better. She's beautiful, talented, sophisticated..." The man trailed off, eyes gazing off into the streets at nothing particular. "I'm just a divorced a*****e who sleeps around," he finally muttered lowly. Flicking the butt into the wind Nick looked into the tinted window at his reflection and took off his baseball cap briefly, pushed back his dark hair, and then put it back on. Ryan still hadn't finished his cigarette yet.

A lot of women likes him and have sex with me.." Kate sighed,leaning her back against the chair."But he's a good person,he really is a good person." Kate turned her face to Frankie."What do I do? I can't stop thinking about him..Even when I tried to date that jerk,I could only think of Nick.." That's it,Kate was madly in love with Nick the problem is that she will never admit it."You're so in love with him."Frankie smiled gently at her."You know,you can also change him." Frankie added quietly."Change him? What do you mean?" Kate raised her eyebrow."Maybe he has a habit of sleeping with different women,you can change him by being together with him. What I mean is that you can help him become a better person."Frankie explained to her quietly,Kate looked back at the window and saw Nick. He was staring at his own reflection but it looked like he was looking at Kate for a brief second. Kate looked at Nick until he turned back around."Plus,he's an amazing kisser!" Frankie leaned in to whisper her."I KNOW! I mean,those lips and...ugh..Frankie,I want to kiss him." Kate admitted,biting her lower lip."Oh my god,what am I saying?!" "Truth hurts, doesn't it?" Asked Ryan, causing Nick to look over at him and let out a soft sigh. Now that he finally said it out loud... god, he felt like the biggest dirtbag in the world. All these years women had been calling him awful names, and he was finally realizing now that, sh*t... they were right all along. Nick gave a light shrug of his shoulders. "Coffee?" He asked. The pain killers he had taken that morning weren't doing anything for his headache and caffeine usually helped him. "Coffee sounds so good right now," Ryan admitted. The shorter man let his fall to the ground where he stubbed it out with the toe of his shoe. Nick lead them into the cafe. The two walked right past Frankie and Kate, not even noticing them. They ended up sitting two booths behind them, Nick's back to Kate's. A waitress soon walked over and asked for their orders. "A large coffee, black." Nick answered, resting his face against his closed fist. "I'll have two strawberry jam doughnuts, a large coffee three cream four sugar, a hashbrown, and... what the hell, a chocolate chip cookie." With an adorable fat boy smile, Ryan handed the waitress their menus. Nick looked at him before bursting into a fit of laughter, burying his face into the nook of his elbow. "What?" He asked innocently. Nick shook his head, gazing up at his friend with crinkled amused eyes. "Nothin', man. Nothin'." He leaned back in his seat a little and placed a hand over his left boob, still chuckling a bit. The guy cheered him up without even realizing it.

She doesn't have the courage to do it."Then you will let some other woman have Nick?" Frankie asked her seriously,if she was in love with him then she should do something to get him. What if Nick will find someone else? Someone he would truly love? Kate sayed quiet and lowered her head,she was getting upset again so Frankie quickly changed the mood."Alright,it's time to eat!" He handed Kate the menu and told her to pick whatever she wanted. Soon,the waitress came up to their table."I would like some apple tea and the strawberry mini cake you have." Frankie said with a cute smile then turned his attention to Kate who was still thinking what to choose."Hmm..I want some vanilla milkshake,toast and a small cupcake." The waitress nodded her head and left the table.Suddenly,Ryan and Nick passed near their table but they didn't even notice Kate and Frankie who sat there."Phew.."Kate breathed out."I still can't talk to him,I mean...He grabbed my a** and I had no idea what to do.."Kate puffed her cheek as Frankie looked at her with excited expresion."Grabbed your a**?! Oh my god,he did that to me yesterday. Listen girl,his knows how to grab a**..It was so amazing." Frankie clasped his hands together,looking all dreamy."Frankie!" Kate started to laugh,she gave a gentle hit to his shoulder before both of them laughed."Oh I forgot to tell you,guess who has a date today?" Frankie smiled as he took out the phone number he got yesterday."I met a really cute guy yesterday and I got his number,he's so cute!" Frankie was really excited about the date,he couldn't wait to meet that guy again."Aww,Frankie that's so cute! Good luck on your date and don't forget to tell me the details." Kate added with a big smile,clapping gently to Frankie. Frankie tilted his head slightly to peek on Ryan's and Nick's table."I think we should tell Nick that we're here."Frankie called the waitress again but Kate stopped him."No,we shouldn't. Frankie,don't do this." But of course Frankie ignored her and told the waitress so send a mini chocolate care for Nick and Ryan."I really hate you Frankie."Kate squinted her eyes at him."I love you too Katey~." Nick calmed down after a bit. "So, your 29th is in a few days. You pumped?" Ryan lifted his brows excitedly. Clearly, he was because he had a surprise party planned out for him. The man scoffed at his question. "God, no. That's halfway to 58..." He shuddered at the thought. Ryan chuckled knowingly. "Yup, you're getting old. Do you have anything planned?" He asked, wanting to get more information out. Nick curved his lips at a jaunty angle, shrugging. "I don't think so," he replied. Suddenly he squinted his eyes at his friend, folding his arms across the table as he leaned forward a bit. "Why? What are you up to?" Surely, he was planning something if he was this curious. Ryan shrugged his shoulders. "Nothing." Just then, a waitress came over with Ryan's food and Nick's coffee.... and a chocolate mini cake. "It's on the pink haired cutie over there," she said with a flash of her dazzling smile, nodding toward Frankie and Kate's table. Nick's eyebrows furrowed and he turned in his seat. And there they were, Frankie waving his hand frantically. "Sh*t..." he muttered, turning back around. He didn't want to see them, especially since Kate was more than likely angry with him for what happened that morning. He laced his fingers behind his neck. "Dude. Quit being such a p*ssy and go talk to her..." he ushered, though Nick shook his head. "I can't. She's upset with me right now."
