The pressure was intense. But man, he was doing something good. Right? Right. Yes. He was. His eyes fell on two other hunters who'd been possessed. They were too far away at the moment to hit, but he kept them in his sights while looking around for others closer.
No one yet. Good he guessed. People were glowy gold though. Probably the sword.

Taima's prey suddenly stopped moving as it was killed by someone else. She dropped it, then looked past it at the person who had finished it off, brightening as she recognized them. Her head lowered to Amrita's level, tilted so she could look at the other ghoul eye to--well, Taima's eyes were large enough to take in most of Amrita at once. "Lessons didn't take," the air around them seemed to say. "Sorry," it trilled, sounding more mischievous than apologetic. Her wings spread and with a flap she was back in the air, on the hunt for new targets. Fortunately, one made itself known and obvious by its sheer size. She gained some altitude before diving, swooping to a halt in front of its face, her talons scratching at the giant pony's eyes. Attacking Medea was useless, Lex found rather quickly. Instead, he turned to one of the giant horses on the field. Yes, they needed taken out too.

Unfortunately, willingness did not equal competence. It never did. He was sent scattering wide by some errant enemy, and regained his feet without a sound, without acknowledgement, and having, apparently, totally forgotten that Ever was even there. Watching Tenya hit the ground she jumped back and away from what she knew would probably hurt if it fell on her. "Well no, not quite, but I did just have rather spectacular recovery. Again." Poor joke? Probably. "We need to get over there where it's safe." There was where Excalibur was because there was something about it that reached out to make her feel safe and comforted. Perhaps it could have been Otto's proximity because he himself often had that effect. Not far away the black cat crossed her path again and as Cami watched Night walk by hands tightened on her bow. She wanted to strike out at him, wanted to destroy him the way she had promised, but no. Not yet. Not without Maebe because they were going to do it together and prove him so wrong. Tugging on Otto's sleeve she pleaded. "Please? I need to keep you safe too." He was so close--he was so close, he felt the blade nick the corner of solidified FEAR, felt it-- --go wide, as he was abruptly consumed, literally and figuratively, by a cloud that left him gasping in terror even before the whispered words made it home. "No, Thompson, you don't understand --" Was Ever's hurried reply, eye's wide, trying to fumble out of the man's grasp, but those fingers, skinny as they were, were like vises, and he found himself up against Medea again. The sound of a whinny behind him made him shudder and jolt forward a step, even if that attack wasn't toward him -- and before anything else could happen he attacked, all instinct. At least he didn't hurt. This was all one huge mess that Yves didn't know where to start from so he did what he thought was the best for now which was to pick up one of the weapons that was on the ground, a two handed axe, and swing it at one of the hunters who was targeting Medea with a snarl.

While he was getting stomped on by one giant pony, Shun realized he was taking fire from the other giant horse on the battle field. Gritting his teeth, he shot a one eyed glare at the Protector of Famine, but then returned his attention towards Meng for the time being. Kill one. Then move on. Otto picked up Tenya and followed Cami, giving her a curious and grouchy expression at her pleading. "Cami..." He wanted to scold her. They had a job to do. The giant steed fell behind him. Running headlong towards Cymbelline, Shun kicked off the ground, leaping towards the oversized horseman of famine. He planted his daggers into her flesh. Maybe if they weren't in this current situation, Maple would have loved to have heard htose words. But they were being said by someone who looked vaguely like AJ in body only, in mind it seemed like someone completely different. Tears stung her eyes, threatened to fall and she very well was ready to yell in an actually loud voice.
But something came over her, something deep inside her core. Kill. It told her. She obeyed to a point, not a complete frenzy, not quite there but she at least attacked, angrily.
