"Errrr..... Aaah.... Daah...." Jay sounds out as he tries to cast again, this time getting a few feet further from the boat, "Eeerrra....daaah... Rod. In....gah... Fish...ingah... Fishing rod."

There's the excitment I remember from him. Darian thinks as he waits for a bite. Suddenly he feels a tug on his line. The elf jerks on his rod and reals in, gratified to see a fair sized trout on the end for his efforts.
"Nice catch there, son." Gregory says in a congradulatory tone.

After about two hours, the three guys decide to come in to shore. Darian had caught 9 nice sized trout, Gregory 13 trout, and Jay 7 trout. They cleaned them and soon were sitting on the dock, going over what Jay had learned during their fishing trip.
"We caught some good fish tonight," Jay says contently.

"Indeed we did." Gregory replies. "Not bad for your first time out I'll give you that."
"Did better than me my first time that's for sure." Darian laughs. Although he laughs this is true. The elf had only caught two small fish, barely large enough to keep, his first time out fishing with his dad.
