((Must be one hell of a distraction then.))
((^^; yeah sorry. Only thing is I kind of don't know what to do now. >.>; ))
((I gave you something to react too. Or did you not read about Silvia brushing up against Ratchet in a flirty way? Not going to have him react to Helena becoming a gorgon? Or Olivia wondering about this book and what it has about gorgons and fae? Or why Finita seems reluctant to have Silvia translate it? Cecelia, Silvia, Finita, and Ratchet knows why, but Olivia, Helena, Estelle and Alex don't. I gave you plenty to react too.))
((Don't get mad with me. I honestly haven't really wanted to roleplay much, yes that may seem like an excuse I use all the time but it's the truth! Why are you so angry anyway?))

((I'm sorry... It's just, this story means a lot to me. And no one besides Meyaira has posted in it for the past... week and a half. I feel ignored.))
“Well they’re not used to seeing me like this. I imagine it would be quite a shock to them. And I’m probably going to smell different, you know how dogs recognise the scent of their owner?” she replied conversationally with a wave of her hand, accepting the pair of glasses and glancing at them enquiringly as they continued their little chat, four other sets of curious eyes joining her in her inspection.
“Eating, mm, yes I am going to miss going out to restaurants and cafes. Isaac won’t be able to surprise me anymore! Ah well, at least I can still eat” she shrugged, choosing to look on the positive side of things. Her head-snakes’ tongues flickered out as they tasted the air hungrily. She glanced over at the Minotaur with a half-smile, and her serpents followed her gaze. “I can tell you do not, thank goodness, though I am a little worried about the others. As for Re Sthart, I’ll tell you what I can remember”
Her brows furrowed as she thought back over the conversation with the white and gold gorgon and her snakes coiled close to her head, almost as though they were scared. “He mentioned something about my abilities, we were talking about the past and then –aha! He said to trust the fox; the silver fox. That will mean Silvia, I think, unless there is another with fur that colour. He said that I should let no harm come to her and that I have potent venom and a strong gaze. I think I am meant to protect her…” she trailed off, pondering.
Noticing the body language Finita was displaying as Helena slithered alongside her, she wondered if perhaps she shouldn’t have asked. The other woman sounded averse to the idea and a tad uncomfortable. She looked at the book in Finita’s hand, wondering just what was in there, along with four pointed heads that had risen in the air to get a closer look and were straining forwards towards it. Helena had a bad feeling about it. What if there was something she ought to know and they didn’t want to tell her? Did gorgons have a really short life span or something? Did she have to feed on people like a vampire? Was there some price she was going to have to pay for becoming this that they didn’t want her to know?
She trusted the head scientist and all of her team, as far as she could trust someone she’d only known for a day but Helena strongly hoped it wasn’t something terrible. “Oh no, of course not – imagine the gossip! No, I just wanted to make a phone call to let my fiance know to cancel some appointments for me and to please look after the dogs and the house while I’m away. Oh and to tell Mama and Papa that I’m going to be gone for a while but that I’m fine and healthy so they can stop worrying” she chuckled. She knew how her parents worried over her; even now that she was an independent and fully capable woman. Her hand reached up to pet her serpents casually, pushing them back down gently as they peered on with prying interest.
As she was beckoned to follow, she looked again at the shades in her hand and slipped them on as she followed Finita into the building. Helena paused and stayed still during her inspection, cheekily turning a little this way and that to allow the Minos a good look while her equally cheeky snakes seemed to be returning the favour.
“So, are you jealous of my hot new body?” Helena teased grinningly before they headed back into the observation area where all the others were waiting. She was glad to hear the diamond alchemy set would be set up somewhere safe.
Helena smiled at the young fox eared girl when she approached, her forked tongue slipping out to taste her scent and her snakes all craning forwards with their tongues flickering and gold eyes twinkling at her. Taste, taste…it was like she could smell and taste lots of information all at once. She was still getting used to it, her brain attempting to sort out the new information it was bombarded with. She would let Finita answer the girl’s question.

((*hugs* it's alright I'll post. Lady A seems to have gone off and is probably getting married. razz There is a lot to plan with a wedding and such. I apologize for my lack of posting, but I've been wanting to spend more time with my family and less from the computer. ^^; I have a life outside of Gaia even if I seem like I don't. I haven't forgotten this rp don't worry. :3))
Ratchet stared with slight reluctance as Helena transformed before him. With the other women, what they became was no big deal. He could handle a Minotaur or even a Siren, but a Gorgon, let alone a snake, was a whole other story. When he was a boy he had been bitten by a poisonous snake and almost died.
So he was kind of afraid of them, it didn't really help that Helena had small little snakes sticking out of her head too. Out of all the creatures to turn into...why did it have to be a snake?! He froze up a little when she approached everyone in the room and kind of stayed in the back avoiding eye contact and such. Ratchet was so nervous that he didn't pay attention to Silvia's flirtatious gesture.
Olivia was the opposite! Well she had fallen asleep during the woman's transformation, but seeing a snake woman with snake heads was amazingly cool! Fluttering up from her flowery perch she happily sat on Helena's shoulder and looked up at her with child like curiosity. "Hellie! Hellie! What's it like to have snakie-snakes growing from your hair!?" she asked happily.

Finita chuckled.
Just making sure you're not hurt, that's all. That's the first time someone has gotten attacked during a ritual... even if it wasn't the subject.
Glancing at Helena and Finita, I could feel their intent; Finita didn't want anyone to panic around her, and Helena, who was worried, trusted the Scientist.
Finita... I think its best if I read for them.
Finita looked to me. I don't want to risk your health.
So you're just going to leave them in the dark about what happened to their people so long ago? It's Okay for you, me, and Cecelia to know but not them?
Her ears drooped and she glanced away, looking guilty. Err...
Look, I know you don't want them to get scared. But they have every right to know... what they do afterwards is their choice. Besides, I have you and Ratchet and now Alex... if I do get another explosive nosebleed, I can count on you to take the book away and do something. But Helena, Olivia, and Estelle deserve to know.
The Minotauress sighed, a long stream of steam coming from her nose, before looking to Helena. Go make your calls... She said, handing the book to me. Be back quick... We need to give everyone a recap of what happened so far...
~~~
Cecelia looked on at Alex as he seemed to be falling into some sort of trance... Whiles staring at her? She swam about in her tank. Thanks to the darkness and the distance from the glass she had not seen much...
Um... wake up... snap out of it. You're falling into a trance!
(Post is in the works, will be posted here tomorrow. Can't concentrate anymore tonight taking much to formulate ideas.)
Helena tried to listen in while Silvia and Finita conversed, but she was surprised by the appearance of a sparkling little fairy with blue hair alighting on her shoulder. She moved her streaked tresses aside so she could see her and speak to her more easily. Helena’s serpents moved in as close as they were able, their sibilant voices mingling with her own thoughts.
“Pretty wingsss! Like dragonfliesss”
“Livi, Livvie, Olivie, ssss~”
“Thisss one iss cute, yess, her ssscent isss good”
“SSsss~”
“It is a lot noisier for one thing, and more than a little confusing. I receive information from all of them at once” she explained with amusement at the fairy lady’s childish enthusiasm and use of words. “And I do like that nickname! Only my Isaac normally calls me that” she giggled and her eyes shone. This little fairy was rather mischievous.
Her tongue slipped out to taste the air habitually as one of her snake’s tongues tickled Olivia’s skin, as light as a feather. “They agree with me that your new form is very cute and that you have pretty scent. They also like your name, Miss Livvie” she relayed before throwing her hands in the air with an exclamation. “Agh, but I am still getting used to it! It’s like having your hair come alive and start moving around on it’s own, making demands, being cheeky... They also seem to reflect my hidden thoughts and emotions, even when I wish them not to” she leaned in close to whisper this part to the fairy, for Olivia's ears only, and a faint blush coloured her cheeks.
She would have spoken more with the woman, except just then she heard a large sigh and caught sight of a sizeable puff of steam, making her look towards the minotaur. Goodness, that was a neat trick! She watched the book be transferred to the fox girl and nodded thankfully at Finita's permission. “Oh, yes, I’ll be back in a jiffy”
Helena turned back to Olivia and one of her snakes gently nudged the fairy’s back to indicate it was time to hop off her shoulder. “Please excuse me”, the gorgon said politely, “I’ll be right back after making some phone calls”
So saying, her giant snake body slithered sleekly and swiftly across the cool tiles, taking her back to the meditation room where she had left her dress, jewellery and handbag that contained her phone.
She made her calls and returned several minutes later, now clinking softly as she had stacked her bracelets back on her arms and donned her earrings and necklace.
Her handbag hung from one arm with her dress stuffed into it rather messily, bundled up in a scrunched ball. The robe she wore was comfortable enough for the time being and the decorated silk was nice against her sensitive skin.
It was a little too chilly in here for Helena now that she was used to more tropical climes yet she tried to hide her shivering, not wanting to delay the others any further than she had already. Why did her parents have to ask her so many questions? Getting things past them was always much harder than Helena thought it would be. They were so nosy! Mama had taken some convincing that Helena was not running away and leaving Isaac while Papa kept talking about kidnappers and how he was going to call the police if they didn't hear from her in three days. Aiya...parents.
I had sat down at the table, with the book lying infront of me. Cecelia's tank had been wheeled over and she was laying on the bottom of the tank, watching me. Finita sat in the lotus position across from me, the table too short to obscure her view of me.
When Helena emerged from the meditation room she gestured for her to come take a spot next to me.
I looked to Ratchet, who had seemingly froze in pace when Helena had entered... as if standing still would make her go away.
Cecelia had tried to get Alex to snap out of his trance but so far coudln't tell if she had succeeded... She swam up from her spot on the bottom of the tank and rested her head and arms on the side to listen.
We sat in silence, us three. We were waiting for the others to join us... to listen to this sad, tragic tale.
Olivia got the message and giggled happily as she flew off of Helena's shoulder, and around the woman's head gently giving a sweet kiss on the top of every one of her snake heads. "Bye bye lovely snakies! See you all soon!" she giggled happily and then took a comfortable place on Finita's shoulder.
She was still a bit...unsure about Silvia so she figured it would be good to keep her distance. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alex gave her a confused look, but just as he was about to kiss her lips, he fell foreward and bumped his head onto the tank. This caused him to get out of the trance and immediately he climbed down from the tank blushing madly. Alex felt so embarassed! Quietly taking a seat near Helena he did a double take before blinking. It was the woman from before, so she was a snake now?
"Oh wow that's so cool!" he exclaimed happily. It seemed that Alex was easily amused, or just always overly excited. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ratchet on the other hand was slowly backing away as Helena entered the room again. When his back hit the wall he was fumbling around to find a door. Maybe he could fake a yawn or something? All he wanted was to get the heck away from that snake woman! She was giving him the creeps. The last thing he needed was to get bitten again. It wasn't hard to find that he was afraid either. Ratchet had gotten very quiet and distant all of a sudden.
Finita glanced up when he was trying to scurry away, before sighing.
I shall be back.
Rising from her spot she got up and went over to Ratchet, leaning down and grabbing his hand. She then proceeded to drag him out of the room into the hallway.... she was so strong that he couldn't resist.
