The second floor again. He walked through the door and this time didn't hesitate when he sat down at the table and picked up his chopsticks. Perhaps he was eating too many dumplings in one sitting, but that was totally okay. Wilson would work it off, right? He hoped, anyways. He took a bite.
Insert young Wilson watching television as he ate dumplings.
Another bite. Then another.
Wilson eating dumplings while he ate homework.
The hunter wondered if he would get fat from all of this greasy food, but he had no regrets. He really loved dumplings. Afterwards, he grabbed the key and ran to the sixth floor.

"Well, you certainly are enthusiastic about keys." Erebus said with a nervous laugh. "Reminds me of my brother, actually..."
And then she went limp on him and Erebus had to think quick, or else he would drop her and she would have a concussion and oh no-- He carefully lifted up her arms and maneuvered around so that he was piggybacking her. Well, sort of.
Xiu seemed too tired to have her arms locked around his neck, so the only other option was to place her back against the wall and then slowly bend down, so that the both of them were seated.

"I'm not usually so eager about keys," She murmured sleepily, "But I thought I'd grab some extras just in case, and then I decided I might as well get them all, and..."
Sigh. She wasn't sure if she exactly regretted it, but what was done was done.
"Thank you." She managed a small smile as he helped her settle down onto the ground, and then cracked her eyes open a little wider to look around. "Where's Wilson?"

Clyde had just gotten back from running ALL the way down, back to floor 1, and then back here to floor 6. In his hand seems to be some food he had looted from the kitchen on floor 1.
No, obviously no one is going to miss the food. He waves at Xiu and Erebus. "Sup, I got food. Want any?"

Xiu turned to stare at him blankly, and then smiled wryly. "Worked up an appetite from all that running? I'm okay right now--thank you, though. I just want...to sleep..."
And then she faceplanted into Erebus' back.

"Ah..." he said, reaching behind to pat her on the head. "Good job, really. I don't think I could do all that..." He trailed off, wondering what Thackery would think of him not enthusiastically running up and down to get all the keys.
"Uh, I think he went down. He saw you get more keys and he thought he'd try too..." While Erebus had chosen to wait for all of them patiently. After all, they still had one more door to go. What if everyone tired themselves out?
"Food?" His ears perked, giving Clyde a welcoming grin. "Well, I think Xiu should-- oh." She had just faceplanted into his back. Well.
"She's too tired to eat now, I guess. Maybe leave some till she gets some rest?"

"Yea, we can just let her sleep." Clyde gave Xiu and Erebus a lopsided smile before putting the food aside for later. He sat down beside them to wait for Wilson. "Oh right. I'm Clyde, nice to meet you." He grinned.

[ slowly ambles back to the third floor /tear ]
He had been to the third floor plenty of times, but this time Wilson chose to enter through the middle door. The door he had yet to walk through. But as he walked through, he encountered bright light. Actually, wasn’t that a spotlight? He winced, holding up a hand to block the light as he continued to step forward. Wilson could barely see anything, but he realized he was on a stage. If he squinted his eyes enough, he could make out the vague shadows of gargoyles and theater seats. Yeah, a stage.
One of the gargoyles began to announce the next act, except it was Wilson himself. “What?!” Now he looked startled, both hands by his sides as he adjusted to the spotlight. Dark red eyes widened and he looked a bit nervous. He hadn’t known this. He hadn’t brought anything! He hadn’t…
Wilson saw a viola and instantly reached for it. The feel was familiar and different from experiencing a memory of him playing. This time it was real. The weight of it on his arms and shoulders were real. Holding the bow was real. Plucking the strings was real. He smiled, gently resting the bow against the thick strings before he played.
The man didn’t know what song he played. Was it even a song or maybe he was just making it up as he went? He didn’t know, but either way he kept playing and it was beautiful. He loved the viola. Its rich sound, so deeper than the violin…
And then he slowly came to an end. He hadn’t even heard the applause due to his concentration. All he knew now was that confetti was raining on him and someone put a crown on his head before giving him a placard with a key. Oh.
