Things started going a little bit downhill from there. Griffin had the brilliant idea of throwing two balloons at once- which turned out to be less than brilliant, since he couldn't actually hold two balloons in one hand. One of the balloons rolled right over the top of his hand and fell back into his shirt-cache, while the other veered wildly off-target, hitting a teacher instead of the student he'd targeted.
On the bright side, it was the teacher who'd hosed him earlier. Griffin couldn't help but smile, and then ran away, shrieking, as the teacher made to hose him down again.

Briar didn’t want Griffin that he’d forgotten about him and he’d opted for the simple method of following after the other as he ran past and lobbing a balloon in the other’s direction.
It wasn’t a granted that it would hit – none of the other three had, but Briar had a good feeling about this one.
And then turning he realised who Griffin had been dashing away from and decided that now was a good case to vacate the current location just in case that teacher decided to hose them all down again.

Marisha ran across the field to where she was a bunch of balloons and dryer kids than herself just calling for a soaking. Looking for the perfect balloon to use she spots a blue one sitting all by itself. With a grin she went over to it and made sure that there was a kid nearby to use it on before picking up the large semi-heavy balloon. She then took aim and used both hands to throw it over her head at the kid.
Marisha watches as it flies as if in slow motion through the air before coming down. Grinning widely she giggles as it hits dead on. "Bulls Eye!" She cries as the kid is soaked.

Akane thought it looked like the teachers were having as much fun as they were. But they had hoses, not balloons! "No fair!" She pouted and tried to pelt one of them with a water balloon and missed.
Running from the teacher with the hose made Griffin drop all of the balloons in his shirt. Not that he was particularly worried about that; there were still balloons all over the place, and teachers continued to refill the tubs so that the game could continue. Which, now that he was having fun again, was exactly what he wanted.
While he tried to decide what to do next, a balloon caught him in the stomach. Griffin looked up just in time to see Briar running away, and his eyes narrowed. Now the ball was back in his court, and it was time to revamp the rivalry in a big way.
Darting off to where he remembered seeing the confetti bin, he took two handfuls of the stuff and caught up to Briar. "Boom!" he announced, throwing both handfuls at the same time. Bits of confetti stuck to him as well as he ran through the cloud of paper, ready to stock up on more balloons for when Briar would certainly come calling again.
Deciding hiding in the bushes was a bad idea, Derek ventured out in search of a new angle. As he did he decided to throw a balloon at a passing kid, only to have the balloon slip through his fingers and hit himself.

"Score" Briar told himself as he tossed his balloon in the direction of some of the kids running around.
Briar watched as his balloon connected with one of the kids - seemed like his earlier tossing funk was over - at least for now.
His moment of distraction was to cost him as confetti suddenly exploded around him,
Briar had a good idea of who'd been behind it - he just had to think up a good way to get Griffin back.

Akane scooped up a pile of bubbles and whistled innocently while she decided who she'd go after next. She thought Griffin looked like he'd be a fun target, since he was engaged in a game of cat and mouse with Briar. Having made up her mind, she chased after him and tossed the bubbles at him.

Eliza had dozed off. A quick cat nap could refresh her activity level. The girl had lay down passing a balloon between her hands, batting it back and forth like a cat would with a yarn ball. During this quiet down time she'd found her eyes closing and she let sleep wash over her.
She awoke to the sensation of soaking wet hair. Apparently in her sleep her head had popped the balloon she had rested it against.
Eliza crawled out of the tube again and sat on top, watching the kids still battling. The teachers seemed to have gotten involved it now seemed. Huh. Eliza giggled as random kids got hit with hose spray.
While he was hunting for more ammunition, Griffin felt something splat onto his shirt. He looked down and stuck his tongue out at what he saw. More bubbles! Where had those come from? Scanning the area, he saw Akane nearby and figured that she had to be the one responsible. And because she'd hit him with soapsuds- which he hated having on him- his revenge would have to be something special as well.
Quickly running back to the confetti tub, he grabbed two handfuls of the stuff. Then, before running away, he stuffed them in the damp pockets of his shorts and took two more handfuls. After that, it was only a matter of hunting Akane down and tossing one of his slightly-soggy confetti bombs at her, savoring the moment that it hit and burst apart in a flurry of technicolor paper.
After his.. lovely self inflicted hit, Derek was feeling a little ego bruised. He sulked as he half heatedly threw a balloon over his shoulder. As he turned to look he found himself in better moods as it connected with one of the kids.

Ralph was walking around holding a water balloon behind his back as he hummed. He was hoping for a new target when he noticed someone he hadn't hit yet. There was a smile creeping on his face as he lobbed the balloon towards the girl. But it fell very short, he sighed as he shook his head.
"Ralph you're such a failure." He muttered.

Akane juggled her next water balloon before throwing it at Ralph. She giggled. "You can say that again."
Griffin was so busy looking for more bins that he wasn't looking where he was going. Big mistake. While running at top speed, he crashed into another kid, knocking them both to the crowd and releasing his other handful of confetti, which mostly ended up all over him. Between the bubbles and the paper, he figured he looked like a rainbow Abominable Snowman. His disgust evident on his face, he offered a cursory apology to the other kid, more concerned about wiping off as much of the glop as possible.
