"Great," The brunette's smile was a slow one, teasing. "I'll cook. Maybe it'll make up for having to eat take out on your birthday." They hadn't really talked about that, after all.
Avery, of course, had recovered quickly after passing out for the night, and felt fine. Perhaps if she'd been a regular civilian, she'd have experienced more trauma from the incident, but really, she was simply suspicious. The soothing evening that'd followed the wraith attack had more than calmed her nerves, though it hadn't been her attention to fall asleep in the middle of watching a movie.
Libby had been sweet enough not to tease her incessantly about it, but Avery figured it was coming [and warranted].

The discovery that Avery Hollister cooked, and would be cooking for her, tickled Liberty in all sorts of ways. Like any good Reever, her first love had been food.
"It was a good birthday." The hum in Liberty's voice didn't reveal any sacrasm. The teasing, in fact, seemed rather absent.
"I'll pick out the movie next time, though." There it was.
