New here but I have a bone to pick with people here about actual ninja's and the difference of ranks. Firstly, because you're S-rank does not mean you're on the comparison of some figurative god. We're dealing with ninja's, genjutsu's and general skills. I think there is too much concern with jutsu's and rank then actual skill of the character. If you expect everyone to barge in and launch a s**t ton of giant fire and water dragons from their nose, then it's a pissing contest....... Sorry to rant but I need to remind people, characters are ninja's, unless you're designed as a warrior.
Robotic, I seen your comment on Karito's profile and thought this message would be helpful...... Helpful to remind people that we're here to protray ninja's, not gods. Rank, in my view of the series, just states what tough jutsu's they have, not actual skill.

As for the Akatsuki and all the S-Rank material..... I don't even think it's necessary, or another Akatsuki for the matter. Ame is asking to be torn into tiny bits with them roaming around. Even a rumor of them is enough for the tailed beast to take their host and rip Ame.
If there is another Akatsuki, it should be made up of actual shinobi of various ranks and skills. Though, the attack on the gates sorta kills that thought. But still, you get what I'm saying here.

Right now, I think as they are an isolated village, they would do better to look as much like a norrmal villge as possible, if overly paranoid, but they always were so no biggie, and go out and try to get other villages on their side.

The shinobi nations are too connected, in theory, and would be able to take Ame apart in no time. As such, perhaps Ame would do better not to go to the front-lines....it was a bit of overkill from Mal, and rather beside the mission the Akatsuki were given (see Guild background and rpg info thread in the Main).

After being defeated, the Akatsuki are in no position at all to wage open warfare. All the villages would have to do, would be to get together again, and wipe Ame off the face of the Earth.

So not an overly clever move, I'm afraid......The last thing they need while re-cooperating would be to have the eyes of their enemies on them....

That's my two cents....but it's up to Ame naturally...

Somehow things have staled a bit, but we might as well, try to get things rolling with a joint something, that will keep the guild a bit more active, adn show people who might look in what a really wonderful little bunch of dears we really are..

It's awesome how so many people are game with me on this because I had an excellent idea for a mission. For instance, my character is technically a C-Rank Jonin/Tokubetsu Jonin, and a freelance Ame-nin. Leaves plenty of room to develop and had an interesting complex of rarely using any chakra. If fact, on missions, he seals his chakra away in case of sensors. Anyways, the plan was is that some village Kage come together to give their genin a unique experience. My character takes on a squad of five genin, followed with another jonin to assist in training. They will be tracking an S-Rank, or supposed such who has the strange ability that makes all chakra, except hers, null and void. Because of this, she's declared S-Rank. The point of this hunt/bounty is to bring genin together to teach them to not be so dependent on chakra.
To explain why they would trust my character is they have a history of him doing posted missions for them and came with good results, even though he barely uses chakra.

Now that's annoying, people consistently whining and demanding they need to be S-Rank. You should put some ground rules about S-Rank. Perhaps only Kage's can be S-Rank..... They are Kage's after all, maybe an age requirement for S-Rank. Honestly, to be S-Rank, and if we're taking this seriously, they would need to be very experienced, not a few epic jutsu's. For instance, field experience, which is very important. Honestly, knowing high-rank jutsu's at young ages is redundant enough, but being S-Rank at 16-18, seems one in a million. Personally, the S-Ranks I see would probably be killed off in moments. They seem like fighters, not ninja's. Guaranteed, they're strolling around and one properly planned ambush, GONE!

Anyways, the mission with my character would open up a story about a group of shinobi who nullify chakra, except for their own. Later, they could possibly linked to a bigger plot with the Akatsuki. I have a huge plot weaved together but I don't want to give too much away. And plus, if you let me, I could have some thing put together for the Akatsuki that would make sense for the recent imitators.
