The little bird the witch had so easily caught, but had such a hard time caging, was quite endearing and Belladonna couldn't help but return just to see how it was doing. It chirped at her, but she only smiled at it before she was distracted by the streak of multi-colors that ran past. "Oooohhh~ Pretttty~" The witch murmured as she tripped off after Balthazar. It noticed her following it, waited until she was close enough to snatch at a tail feather and hopped two skips away from her. Belladonna blinked at it momentarily, before a wicked smile broke out. "Sneaky thing!"

Well, it had worked the first time so perhaps it would work this time! With a dramatic point of her finger and a forceful stare, the witch took a stance and looked at the bird. "Come here. Right now." She commanded in an imperious voice. The bird tilted its head to one side, then twittered at her. And stayed put. Belladonna stared at it a moment longer, eyebrows pulled down further over her eyes, but the bird only tilted its head to the other side. "Now." Balthazar flapped his wings and moved backwards. Belladonna nearly cried.

But she wouldn't be down for long! With a sudden jump forward the witch reached out for the bird, but he quickly took flight and instead decided to hover above her head. The witch blinked before she looked up and took a step back. "That's cheating!" She yelled at him, but the bird only twittered a few notes that sounded very similar to a laugh, before it began to flap circles about her. "Get down here right now!!" It didn't, content to circle and laugh at her plight. If only she were a few inches taller!

Well, if he was going to at least hover in that little space above her head, the least Belladonna could do was at least try to catch him, right? RIGHT. Screwing up her determination, as well as leg strength, the witch jumped once and flailed at the space above her head. But it was no good. On the way down, both hands smacked down over her skirt and she quickly cast around to see if anyone had seen. "This is precisely why I wear petticoats and bloomers. My Hecate, how do normal ghouls do it?!" The witch hissed to herself, glaring up at Balthazar. WRY?!

But as of yet, the bird had yet to stop its circular hovering. Still it continued on, apparently vastly pleased by its ingenious plan. Little short witchling couldn't jump! Hee hee! Belladonna frowned up at the bird, looked around her quickly and took a deep breath. So she didn't have her broom with her, but that didn't mean she could at least risk one really good jump. No one was looking anyways! This could totally work. With a great leap into the air the witch closed her hands around the unsuspecting bird and landed with only one brief moment of a panty shot. "HA! I GOT YOU!!" She shouted with glee, then proceeded to enact a small victory, using Balthazar as her dancing partner.

Once more the witch was struck with the dilemma of finding the proper cage for the bird. Last time she'd had a hell of a time communicating with the bird, so this time Belladonna just decided to trust her wits. Which were apparently so frazzled by the bird that the moment she tried to place him as delicately as possible in the third cage, he flapped his wings hard enough to nearly knock him into the second one. Which he did not like because the bird flew from that cage back into the witch's chest. She let out a tiny squeak as she recaptured him, before she frowned at him. "Please don't fight me on this too..."

Since Balthazar didn't like the second cage, the witch figured he had only gotten a little frightened of being caged, so she once again tried the third cage. This did not work out as planned, as the bird did the same thing again and Belladonna was left there, holding on as tightly without hurting him as could, all the while he flapped and tried to escape. "You know, I like birds and all but this is why I like cats. No fuss!" OK crazy cat lady.

Then it started getting ridiculous. Because Belladonna felt the need to lecture the bird on the ethics of being honest and telling people which cage the bird belonged to and no, she was not going to take your squabbling mister! Belladonna didn't care one jot that you were having a perfectly fine time running around, causing havoc for poor Sir Sparrow! She knew you were being-- Oh this was just silly.

It was getting to the point that Belladonna was about to give up and just let Balthazar back onto the ground, where he could cause as much of a ruckus as he wanted. Instead she hugged him close. "Please be good and just go into your right cage?" Balthazar decided he wanted to flap some more.

Apparently this bit of begging had actually worked because after the witch opened her arms for the bird, Balthazar happily skipped into the first cage. And stayed there. Long enough that Belladonna blinked at him and almost grabbed him back out for a hug. Finally she heaved a sigh, a small smile on her face. "That wasn't so hard!" Sure it wasn't.

With a dramatic wipe of false sweat from her forehead, the witch maneuvered through the crowd to Sparrow. She smiled at him, glad to have one more little reason for a bit more conversation. The witch didn't have nearly enough excellently dressed Reaper friends and perhaps this gentleman wouldn't mind fixing that. "Your birds are absolutely lovely, but they have a bit of a problem listening." She told him as politely as she could, though she tacked on a smile. Because it wasn't meant as an insult even though, hey she totally just told him he was a bad parent. "But they are darling, and very sweet!" At least it was true... Kurmato Belladonna has won a token!

Ami was just walking along, trying to find another booth that served tea. A very placid walk. Calm. Centered.
Until her cat body started acting up again. Her tail twitched, her ears pointed in the direction of a booth that said something about Sparrows. She had no control- Ami had to get to this booth. Her body wasn't going to let her go any other way.
Finally she made it in front, her tail flicking back and forth, slight drool forming in her mouth. Oh god ew this was digusting. Is this really how Halloweeners reacted to food?
A bird started to squeeze its way out of the cage, and Ami pounced for it. She didn't even want the damn bird, her golem did! A solid miss though, as the bird flapped out of her reach. Damn little owl was going to be the end of her.Quote: Ami looks like this (bakeneko)

Wait what? First her body wanted it, and now it was content to flick a piece of string hanging off the end of the booth's table?
She was so done with this golem.Quote: Ami looks like this (bakeneko)

Her ears turned towards the flapping of wings again, and the chase was back on. She ran around the booth a few times, attempting to snatch the bird out of the air, and eventually it ended up caged in her claws.
Now she just had to put it back in its cage. She looked back at the booth, which was covered in birds. Her tail began flicking back and forth playfully.
Oh this was going to be a challenge.Quote: Ami looks like this (bakeneko)

For a moment, Ami just stood in the middle of the cages, staring at the birds.
Pretty food birds.
